Hot Mess

Stupid boy

January slowly turned into February, February slowly turned into March and March was a day away from turning into April.

Jillian had gone and returned from Pittsburgh, Sean hadn't talked to her since her second week there.

You're an idiot.
You let the best thing in your life slip through you're fingers, all because of a simple photo posted on Instagram.
You're never getting her back.

These were all thoughts flying around Sean's mind as he sat, starring out the airplane window. How could he of been so stupid? He let Jillian slip away, all over a stupid picture of Jillian and the Penguins on the ice in full gear laughing and smiling. Something about that picture made Sean see red. The picture was innocent nothing bad but it still pissed off Sean.

" What are you thinking about Monny?" asked someone snapping Sean out of his thoughts. It was Karri Ramo, the Flames' goalie.

" Jillian..." Sean said quietly looking down. Sean still wasn't pleased with the way he handled the whole situation and neither did his team. Almost the entire team tried to talk some sense into their young teammate. Sean didn't know what to do with this life anymore without Jillian in it. He'd wake up, get ready, go to practice, come home, rest, and if it was game day then he'd prepare for the game, if they didn't have a game he'd spend the night alone thinking of Jillian, everyday he'd look at his phone, everyday he'd look at her contact, everyday he'd shut off his phone without a single word said to her. He was slowly dying inside, and the worst part was he had no idea if Jillian would ever speak to him again.

You stupid boy.
-------

Jillian sat at the bar with her best friend Caroline. Jillian didn't want to be here, but Caroline was tired of seeing one of her closest friends miserable.

Sean had broken her, he'd stopped talking to her, he'd stopped caring. Jillian fell too fast for a guy she'd barely known. She didn't know why Sean abruptly stopped talking to her, he just stopped, without as much as a single heads up, no reason, just stopped.

Jillian had fallen into a daily routine as well, wake up, get dressed, head to class, go to work, come home. She missed the daily calls, the good morning and good night texts, the random texts she's receive from him.

Little did Sean know, he seriously messed up Jillian, she turned to some bad habits when he stopped talking to her, she'd turned to alcohol, drinking away her sorrow night after night, drinking herself to sleep. She always regretted it the next day, but every night she turned to the only man still there for her, good old Mister Jack Daniels. Jillian tried to stop but it was hard, she'd press that bottle her lips and all thoughts of Sean slipped away.

She knew she had to stop, but she didn't know how she could, all because of that stupid boy.
