I open the door to see Jonathan with flowers. "Look, I know this isn't a date or anything, but this is me saying thank you for inviting me over." Jonathan says, smiling while handing me the flowers. "They're beautiful, thank you. Here, come in." I say, blushing. I close the door behind him and set the flowers in a vase. They were an assortment of pink and white flowers.

Jonathan and I ordered takeout on the phone a few minutes afterwards. "You know what's amazing? Sweet and sour chicken" Jonathan says while I'm on the phone. "-Oh and an order of Sweet and sour chicken please." I tell the worker, while smiling at Jonathan. After we finish ordering the food, we sit down on my sofa to talk.

"How was practice?" I ask while sitting on the sofa with Jonathan. "Not bad, we're preparing for our game against the Penguins tomorrow." "You guys will beat their asses, don't worry." I say. Jonathan shrugs and smiles "Ehh, hopefully. They're a good team." "Wait, hold up. Are you friends with Sidney Crosby?" I ask, jumping up a little from the sofa. Jonathan laughs. "Yeah, we talk sometimes, he's a good guy. Why?" "Cause he's cute!" I say, laughing. Jonathan shakes his head and smiles. "Don't worry, you are too..kinda." I say in a jokingly mean way. "Kinda?" Jonathan asks me, trying to look sad. "Oh stop it!" I laugh and punch him in the shoulder. But he was really cute. Not kinda, really.

There's a knock on the door, and i go to answer it. The delivery man hands me the food and i put it down on my foyer table. as im about to get the money from my wallet, Jonathan came and hands the man a 50 dollar bill, and the delivery man leaves. "I was gonna pay" i say rolling my eyes as i shut the door. "Oops" Jonathan says playfully while opening the boxes of food.
We sit down at my dinner table and start eating. "So is it only you who lives here?" Jonathan asks, looking around. "No I live with my best friend Hanna." I say while playing with the rice with my fork. "I gotta tell you, it's much better living alone than with another person." He says. I look up from my plate. "Well that's because you probably aren't at your house as much as im at mine." i put down my fork and put my hands on the table. "So have you been seeing any lovely ladies lately?" i ask, smiling. "No, I'm trying to focus on hockey." I nod while trying to chew a piece of chicken "Well you are kind of lovely, but not a lady." Jonathan says laughing. "Shut up!" I shout with a mouthful of food, and laughing but trying not to choke.

Later on when we finish our food, Jonathan and i sit down on my sofa. We are pretty close to each other, but not touching. "Okay so then when i saw that video of you knocking over that kid on the ice, i felt so embarrassed for you. But that was so mean of you to do!" I say, jokingly. "I DIDNT MEAN TO, OKAY?" Jonathan says, laughing. "Its not like it was on purpose, plus i helped him up and he was okay." Jonathan states. "Nahh, i don't believe you! You're not as nice as everyone say you are" I laugh. Jonathan makes a puppy-dog face, and can i say that he looked adorable. "Okay, okay. im sorry jonny." I say smiling. Jonathan laughs. "You know, you're not so Captain Serious." i giggle. "Only on game day." He replies. after that, he just looked into my eyes. I bit my lip. "So do you have plans tomorrow?" Jonathan asks. "well don't you have the game?" "yeah well I wanted to know if you wanted to watch me play." I look back into his eyes. "I'd love to!" i say, smiling. jonathan smiles back. "I'll call you tomorrow about the details." He says, getting up. i get up too and we walk to my door. "Thanks for inviting me over" jonathan says smiling. "No problem, but thanks for the flowers." I say, smiling back and blushing. It gets quiet, and jonathan leans in to kiss me. afterwards i smile and we both say bye.
