Captain Clutch

After going to the mall in Toronto with a couple of the guys I decided to take a nap before we had to leave for the game. It didn't last long though because I woke up to loud knocking on my door. I groaned and got up going over to the door and looking through the peep hole. It was Sidney and he looked extremely pissed off. I sighed and opened the door. He walked in past me stopping part of the way into the room and turning to face me.
"What the fuck Kayla?" Sidney yelled. I closed the door and didn't say anything. I knew he would be mad at me.
"You and fucking James. God damnit." He ran his hands through his hair clearly really upset by this. I stood there a little scared by his yelling.
"Are you going to just stand there or are you going to fucking say something Kayla." He yelled.
"Sidney. I swear its what you think. Well to me it's not." I said looking down at the ground.
"Its a fucking date Kayla. At least thats what James said." Sidney was really angry now and he started pacing back and forth. I sighed.
"Okay, its a date, but Sidney my heart is yours. I thought of it as more like a friend date. I want to get to know your friends better." I said. I really meant that.
"How can you say this? You're going on a date with my friend." Sidney said having calmed down a little. Sidney and I had been seeing each other for a couple months now, but we never really talked about being in a relationship because neither of us really wanted to go public. I knew I loved him.
"I'll tell James we can't go because I'm dating you." I said feeling a bit shocked at what I was saying. "We can go public."
"What?" Sidney said looking at me shocked.
"I didn't mean to upset you Sidney." I said. "I'm sorry."
"I really like you." He said sighing. "I just didn't understand, he's one of my best friends."
I walked over to where Sidney was standing.
"Please don't be mad at me." I said putting my arms around him and leaning my head on his chest. At first he kept his hands by his side, but he finally gave in and put his arms around me.
"I don't want to go public." He said simply. I didn't say anything for a minute.
"Why not?" I asked looking up at him.
"We aren't ready." He said and he was right. We hadn't told my brother and I wasn't sure I was ready to tell him. I didn't know how he would react.
"I will cancel with James and we can spend the night together." I said smiling up at him.
"No." He said moving away from me. He was still pissed off at me. I shook my head.
"Fine, but please don't be mad at me." I said.
"I can't promise anything." He said. He looked at me before walking out of the room trying his hardest to slam the door behind him. Damn I really fucked up this time. I honestly didn't think much of this 'date' with James. Date really wasn't a serious word for me. My past had fucked me up pretty badly I guess. I would have to tell him about my past sooner than I wanted to. This was going to be a rough road trip.

I know you guys aren't happy with Kayla at this current moment, but I promise you that I have a reason behind everything I write. So don't hate on Kayla just yet, because there is a problem from her past that caused her to do this without thinking.
