Captain Clutch

My alarm went off waking me up with a start. I felt a headache coming on and I hadn't really even drank that much the night before. My head drifted to last night. Sidney. I jumped out of bed and grabbed my sweater from the top of my suit case. I was wearing shorts and a tank top. I pulled my team sweater over my head and grabbed my room key off the dresser before darting out the door. I saw Pascal coming out of the room he shared with Sidney.
"Dupper." I said coming to a stop in front of him.
"Hey Kayla. You okay?" He asked obviously talking about last night.
"Yeah." I said sighing. "Is Sidney in there?"
"Yeah, he just got out of the shower I think." Pascal said.
"Thanks." I said giving Pascal a quick hug before going into the room. I saw Sidney standing in the corner of the room in a towel looking through his clothes trying to find something to wear. He looked so sexy standing there water dripping off him.
"Goddamn." I said biting my lip.
"Shit. Kayla." Sidney said spinning around losing his towel in the process. He scrambled to pick it up. I started laughing.
"Fuck you scared me." He said. I walked over to him and leaned up kissing him.
"Sorry." I said tracing my fingers up and down his abs.
"I guess we should talk." He said pulling away from me. I sighed wishing this hadn't come up, but I knew it was something we had to deal with. I grabbed his hand and examined it.
"Sidney." I said as I saw the cuts on his hand.
"My hand is fine." He said pulling away and grabbing some clothes off the floor that he had dropped earlier. I walked over to the bed and sat down. He quickly pulled his clothes on and sat across from me on the other bed.
"I guess I have some explaining to do." I said looking down at my hands.
"First, I want to apologize." Sidney said looking at me.
"But...." I started before he cut me off.
"No, Kayla I was upset and I didn't let you explain. I tried to drink my problems away, but it caused more problems." Sidney said.
"Sidney, you care about me and I did something stupid." I said willing myself not to cry.
"Kayla it's okay." He said moving beside me on the bed.
"I need to explain." I said.
"Go ahead." Sidney said. I took a deep breath and started telling him about my past with Brandon. He sat very quietly only nodding at the appropriate time. A couple times he wiped the tears that fell from my eyes. When I finished telling him he seemed to understand where I was coming from.
"I'm sorry." I said after a couple minutes.
"Kayla, why didn't you tell me?" Sidney asked.
"I didn't know how you really felt about me until last night and I didn't want to ruin what we have." I said looking at the ground feeling my cheeks go red.
"Babe, you could have just told me. I would have understood." He said pulling me into him. We were silent for a couple minutes as he held me.
"We have to tell your brother." Sidney said looking down at me.
"You mean, you still want to be with me. Even after last night?" I asked looking up at his beautiful eyes.
"Yes, but you have to tell me these things in the future and we can talk it through." He said. I smiled. I really cared about Sidney and wanted to spend all my time with him. I felt relieved after telling him about my past.
"I guess we have to talk to Maxime before someone else tells him." I said sighing. Sidney stood up and pulled me up into his arms. I hugged him. I was so happy he understood or at least tried to.
"Lets go tell him." Sidney said taking my hand and pulling me toward the door. I was nervous about telling my brother, it could go one of two ways and after all the fighting I had done the past couple days I was ready for something to be easy. At least Maxime already likes Sidney, maybe that will make things easier. I guess we will find out since everyone else already knows.
