Captain Clutch

I was sitting on my brothers bed next to Sidney. Maxime was pacing back and forth. I couldn't tell if he was mad or worried. I didn't hesitate when I had come in the room just five minutes earlier. I had just came out and told Maxime. I looked at Sidney willing him to say something. He kept his mouth shut. Finally Maxime spoke.
"I knew this would happen." He said.
"What?" I asked looking at my brother in shock.
"I knew one of these idiots would go after my baby sister. I just didn't expect it to be you Sid." Maxime said running his hand through his hair seeming a bit frustrated.
"Max, I care about your sister. A lot." He said taking my hand. I smiled down at our interlocked hands. I had never felt this way about a guy before and it was amazing.
"Maxime, I'm not a child. I'm extremely happy with Sidney and that's all that matters right?" I asked looking up at my older brother.
"Yes. I guess." He said sighing. Suddenly he looked over at Sidney. "Break my baby sisters heart and you're dead man."
I smiled before I leaped up and hugged Maxime. He hugged me back. I was so happy that Maxime wasn't mad. I was the happiest I had ever been and he could see that.

We all boarded the plane to leave for Montreal. I was so excited to go see my two older brothers. I knew better than to sit next to Sidney, just like with his hotel room, he always sat next to the same person on the plane. I started walking toward the back of the plane expecting to find a quiet corner to relax in, but Malkin pulled me into his row. I laughed as he pointed to the seat next to him. I sat down next to him.
"Captain mad." Malkin said once I got comfortable. I looked at Malkin confused.
"No." I said shaking my head.
"Before." He said. I sighed and leaned against him.
"Yeah. I think he's over that now." I said feeling Malkin put his arm around my shoulder. I sighed and cuddled up against him. I felt safe with Malkin, he was like a big brother to me. I love my brother so much, but Malkin was a different kind of brother.
"He like you a lot." Malkin said. I smiled at that. I guess I wasn't really sure of Sidney's feelings toward me. Hearing it from someone else made me so happy.
"How do you know?" I asked pulling away from Malkin and looking up at him. He was silent for a couple seconds.
"Maybe he tell me, maybe he don't." Malkin said looking down at me. I felt my stomach get butterflies and I hugged Malkin.
"You don't tell." Malkin said hugging me back.
"I won't." I said smiling. I hadn't noticed Sidney moving toward where we were sitting. He wasn't close enough to hear what we were saying, but he could see us. Finally he got to where we were sitting.
"Geno get off my girlfriend." Sidney said smacking Malkin in the back of the head. Girlfriend. He just called me his girlfriend. In front of all the guys. Ah. I blushed.
"This my sister." Malkin said smacking Sidney. Sidney shook his head.
"Hey babe." Sidney said leaning over and kissing me. I kissed him back wanting nothing more to be alone with him right now. He seemed back to his normal happy self. The team stared hooting and hollering at the sight of Sidney kissing me. Finally he pulled back and winked at me. I bit my lip and sat back into my seat. Sidney went to his seat next to Marc Andre. I was flying on cloud nine right now. I haven't been happier in a long time, and for once it was me falling in love with a guy and not drugs.
