Blades of Love
Chapter Seventeen.
It was the day of the party. Stacey had everything all set up and guests were starting to arrive. Patrice Bergeron and his girlfriend, Adam McQuaid, Brad Marchand, Tukka Rask and his girlfriend, Milan Lucic and his girlfriend and a few others that Stacey didn’t recognize. Sammie had came earlier and helped set everything up, but so far, none of Stacey’s other friends showed up.
Tyler, Tukka and Adam brought out the WII and started playing Just Dance 3, while the others just visited and ate.
Sammie’s friend and her hadn’t hit it off, so she came alone. “I don’t know…he just seemed uninterested in me. He talked about himself too much and didn’t ask me anything…”
“I’m sorry, Sammie. I’m sure you’ll find your guy.” Stacey smiled
Brad Marchand, who was standing besides them with a Bacardi interrupted “Yeah, maybe you’ll find him here.” he smiled.
Sammie stared at him and rolled her eyes “Oh please. I’m a Habs fan. I’d die before I dated a Bruin.”
Brad laughed “Is that so? I don’t believe we have met. My names Brad and you are?”
“Sammie.”
“Nice name, sweetheart. See you’re talking to Bruin just fine.”
“Talking and dating aren’t the same thing.” Sammie told him
“But they are. You can’t date somebody if you don’t talk to them. Why don’t you tell me about yourself.” he flirted
Sammie blinked at him and looked at Stacey who gave her an encouraging nod.
“Uh…” Sammie started. “I play hockey…I’m a goalie…”
“Really? That’s awesome! Do you play for a team? Brad asked
Sammie nodded “Boston University.”
“Nice! So that’s how you know Stacey.”
Sammie nodded “Yeah. Well and she was my roommate.”
Brad laughed “Sorry Tyler stole her from you.”
Sammie laughed “It’s OK.”
Stacey smiled and walked away to see if anyone needed anything. Everyone loved the snacks she made, especially the bean dip. The door bell rang after Stacey refilled the chips. She went to the door and opened it. She was shocked by the faces that greeted her. Jade, Trischa, Kassidy and Benny
