“Hey!” Jade said hugging her. “I’m so sorry sweetie. I’ve been a huge bitch and I’m sorry.”
“You guys came!” Stacey said hugging each of them
“Well of course we did. We shouldn’t have tried to butt into your business.” Trischa said
“Yeah…well and your boyfriend called and begged us to come. He told us how you felt and we wanted to tell you that you didn’t do anything wrong…we did.” Kassidy said
Stacey looked at Tyler who smiled and waved. Stacey smiled back “He’s so perfect.”
Jade smiled “I’m so happy for you! Where’s the food?”
Stacey laughed and led them to the food, handing them each a plate. “Thank-you so much for coming!”
“Where do we put presents?” Benny asked, his arms full. “I’m present carrier.”
Stacey smiled and showed him to the table, helping him put the gifts on it. “Cake will be served in an hour, everyone!” she called, followed by cheers and whistles.
Stacey went over and played a round a Just Dance with Tyler and Adam. “Okay! Who is ready for cake?!”
“Me!” Tyler said smiling
Stacey smiled and brought out the cake with 21 candles on them. Adam lit the candles and everyone sang “Happy Birthday”. “Make a wish, baby.” Stacey said
Tyler smiled and blew out the candles before kissing Stacey. Stacey kissed back and smiled. Sammie helped Stacey cut up the cake and serve it. “Mmm…this cake is awesome!” Tyler said followed by many nods and agreements.
Stacey smiled “Thank-you. Once everyone gets at least one piece down, we will move on to presents. You guys are welcome to stay as long as you like, but you must go home. Also, if you have been drinking, please get a ride from someone who isn’t or call a taxi…or I will take you home. Thanks again for coming and making this day special for Ty.”
“You’re welcome, Stacey.” Brad said with a smile
Stacey shook her head and sat down beside Tyler to enjoy her cake.
“Thanks for this.” Tyler said smiling
“No problem. I’d do anything for you.” she replied
Tyler smiled back “I love you.”
“I love you too, Tyler.”
After everyone finished their cake, Stacey handed Tyler his presents. He got a case of Mike’s Hard from Milan, a nice watch from Patrice, a few seasons of Family Guy from Adam, a Boston Bruins toaster from Brad, an Under Armor hoodie from Jade and Trischa, a 20oz bottle of vodka from Sammie, some headphones and iTunes gift cards from Benny and Kassidy, and a few DVDs, games and clothes from Stacey.
Tyler smiled “Thanks everyone. This has been a great birthday party. There’s something I’d like to say…”
Stacey looked at him confused as he stood up, turned to face her and continued.
“Stacey…ever since the day I met you I felt something. You just had this aura about you and it made me want to get to know you more. Talking with you on the phone and through text messaging, spending time with you in Switzerland, living with you here and going on countless dates with you…I’ve gotten to know and love you. You’re just so amazing and perfect…I mean this is the best birthday party I’ve had in a long time! I love you with all my heart and it would make me the happiest man alive if you’d do me the honor of becoming my wife…Stacey Summers, will you marry me?” Tyler got down on one knee and pulled out a small jewelry box with a diamond ring inside.
Stacey felt her heart race as she replied “Yes, Tyler!”
Tyler smiled, slid the ring on her finger and jumped up, pulling her into his arms and kissing her. Everyone started clapping and cheering as he hugged her again whispering “I love you, Stacey. Forever and always.”
Stacey smiled as she replied “I love you, Tyler. Forever and always.”
