Chapter 30-
Allison’s POV:
I cried as I told Max what happened with Geno. “I just don’t understand why he hates me!”
“I don’t know either, sweetheart. I’ll handle it.” Max comforted
I sniffed, “What do you mean?”
“I’m going to go talk to them. Don’t argue it either. I’m not going to let them talk to my girlfriend like that!” Max folded his arms across his chest
“Girlfriend?” I stammered, confused. Shaking it off I just nodded and hugged him, “Thanks, Max.”
“Don’t thank me.” he replied kissing me on the cheek. I smiled as I pulled away and he kissed me again
After a few minutes, we headed to the arena where we knew the guys would be…
“What the fuck…” I heard Engo say as we walked in together.
Geno, Sid, Kuni and James all turned around, “What do you want, Allison?” James asked
“She doesn’t want to talk to you. I’m here to say something to all of you.” Max announced
Geno stepped forward, “Not the time or place, Max.”
“No, it is, Geno!” I replied stepping in between Geno and Max.
“Allison didn’t do anything to any of you and you’re all being douche bags to her. Just because she dumped pretty boy over here, you all don’t have to treat her like shit!”
“What?!” James yelled “Treat her like shit? She’s got your balls in her purse already, huh, Talbot?”
Max got in James’ face, “What was that?!”
“You fucking heard me!” James snapped
“Listen here, asshole. You need to get over the fact that you got dumped and…”
“Uh correction. It was fucking mutual.” Engo yelled
“Yeah and at least James didn’t lie to the bitch.” Tanger added
“Max…let’s just go…it’s hopeless.” I sighed. I didn’t want a fight to break out and I knew one was about to…and I also felt like I was going to cry.
Max nodded and followed me out, we heard the guys mumbling things about me, but I didn’t even care anymore. I was sorry for James at first, but now…now I knew who he really was and I was glad was done with him.
James’ POV:
A month had past since that night at the arena when Allison showed up with Max. I hadn’t even heard from or seen her since then.
Jenny and Nolan were fully move into my place and the season was set to start the next week. I was finally happy again. Things were going great for me and nothing would have made life any better…
“James? Are you ready to go?” Jen asked
“Almost.” I called back. Jen, Nolan and I were going out for lunch. I finished buttoning my shirt and headed out. Things were as they once were. I was with Jen and we were blissfully happy and I knew that she was right…we were meant to be.
Allisons’ POV:
I shoved the last of my belongings into a box. I was moving to Philadelphia with Max and Melanie would be moving in with her cousin Sarah. I was relieved to be living Pittsburgh…too many memories surrounded this city…bad memories.
“Almost ready?” Mel asked. She would be driving me to Max’s
I nodded and smiled. I felt bad for Mel…her and Sidney had broken up not long after James and I did. She would never say it, but I knew it was my fault. I sighed and loaded the last of my bags into the car, looking back at the apartment. “Let’s go.”
Melanie smiled, “Hell yeah!”
With that, we headed off. Away from Pittsburgh. Away from James Neal. Away from Sidney Cosby. Away from the rest of the Pittsburgh Penguins and on to a new life in Philadelphia.
