Make It There

Indestructible

For the rest of the next day, I was determined to know what had happened to Jonathan. I searched on the Internet, drove around town, watched the news, but I ended up in the same place where I started at the beginning of the day. Gosh, the news nor the Internet didn't acknowledge that someone went missing.
I went to bed, disappointed.
Bebe told me to not try too hard to look for the answers--the answers would come to me. Well, I don't have time sitting around, waiting for answers to magically appear in front of me.

I was back on the ice, in my full goalie gear. I heard the yells of fans echoing through the empty stadium. But there was something weird with their voices: they sounded like they were burned onto a CD and someone decided to rub the back of the CD against concrete and put back into the player and press play; they sounded scratched and jumpy.
Suddenly, I heard cracks benath my feet. I looked down and I gasped as I saw jagged lines appear below my skates. I began to skate away as fast as I could with all my gear weighing me down, the snaps getting louder and louder. My eyes were on the penalty box, the only way to get out from the breaking ice.
I skated faster and faster, the ice crumbling quicker and quicker then...
I fell.
BAM!!!
I fell back to reality.
I shot up quickly, my heart pounding as hard as it could and I was sweating like a fluffy bunny in the desert during the summertime. Then, I heard footsteps echoing from the other side of the room.
"Tuukka, are you--"
"SHHH!!!" I covered Bebe's mouth. I slid out from under the covers and stood up. "Don't you move nor speak, Bebe. I hear something in the living room."
I slowly walked out from the bedroom and walked down the two small steps that lead to the big living room floor. I heard a little mumbling and shuffles to my left, close to where the front door was located.
"Who's there!?!" I shouted into the darkness, facing the front door. Silence fell into the house. "I know you're here...You can come out..."
I heard footsteps come towards my direction. Three black figures stepped out from the dark; they were each carrying a bag, like three black, skinny Santa Clauses.
Oh shoot...I thought to myself. Thieves.
They dropped their bags and pulled out something from their sides and began to...
SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
I used my fast goalie skills to drop to the ground when the bullets flew towards me. I let the window behind me take the blows, but all the sharp pieces spilled on me.
I can't stay like this forever! I rolled around, looking to find a weapon. I needed something to protect me--but I don't own a gun! Ugh!!!
Then a blinding flash of light caught the corner of my eye. I naturally covered my eyes with my right hand, protecting myself from the light.
The light disappeared and I got up.
Now there were only two thieves.
What the...I was bewildered. I thought there were three...
The other thieves were also looking around for their other friend.
I looked at my right hand realized that it wasn't a hand anymore--it was a gun.
Okay...for now, that's good. But I am gonna need my hand soon. But how do I operate it? Oh great.
I pointed the gun at the thief that was closest to me. They were still confused for what happened to their buddy. Die! Go! Disappear! Ugh...This had to be done quickly or else I would be the one shot...
The theives looked at me.
Oh shoot...
Then a bright streak of blue light zoomed out from my gun-hand and hit the thief square in the chest. He burst into a blast of blue light and disappeared.
Oh. Why didn't I thought about that word before? I pointed my gun at the last theif.
He threw up his hands and ran out of the house frantically.
I won. I defeated three armed theives. I'm...supernatural. Okay, that's a bit weird.
I took a look at the almost destroyed living room and walked back to my bedroom.
There was Bebe, standing in front of the door, still in the bedroom.
"What did I tell you?" I asked her.
"Is everything okay?" Bebe crossed her arms.
"Yea, yea, they were just robbers." I sighed.
"Robbers?!" Bebe gasped and covered her mouth. "We got robbed!"
"No, no, I fought them and they left the stuff behind. We're safe."
She sighed and gave me a hug. "You okay?"
"Yea...But I found out why my hand was acting weirdly."
"Why?"
I showed Bebe my gun-hand. "Without this, I don't know if I would still be here."
"So now your hand is a gun?...Interesting. Relax and it should go back to normal."
"Yea, I know. But I'm not relaxed one bit."
"Hm. Let's go get some rest." Bebe led me back into the bedroom.
"I first need to wash myself." I looked down at myself. "I'm full of blood and sweat. But we're gonna have a lot of clean up to do tomorrow. Lots."
