Chapter Thirty Seven

"Sid, come on, I need to finish these cupcakes," I said as I laughed as Sidney kissing my neck and distracting me from finishing the order that needed to be reading in twelve hours.

"You have plenty of time, come on," he said as he rocked my hips and I laughed and turned around.

"Let me finish these and then we'll have plenty of time," I said and then scooped up some icing on my finger and brushed it against his nose, "Hmm, so yummy."

He smirked and then slid his finger down his nose to get the icing and then rubbed it on my neck. I laughed and he wrapped his arms around my waist and brought his lips to my neck and I groaned as he sucked the icing off.

"Well, we might need to put that break room in here," I heard and Sidney and I pulled away to see and smirking Mildred.

"I ya- Um."

"Honey, I'm not that old," she laughed and then walked over towards the ovens and I looked back towards Sidney to see that his face was bright red, "Sweetie, it's almost time to get the boys!"

"All right," I said and then started untie my apron.

"I'll get them," Sidney said and I looked up towards him.

"Really?"

"Yeah, you work, the faster you work, the sooner we can go out," he whispered into my ear and I smirked and then had to bite my lip to hold back a moan as his hands made their way down to my ass and he squeezed it, "Happy baking," he said and then kissed my cheek and then headed out the door with a proud smirk on his face.

'...Such a tease...' I thought as I turned around and saw Mildred smiling at me, "What?"

"You like that boy," she said and I laughed and felt the heat rise to my face, "Admit it."

"Ok I do, I really do like him," I said and then looked at the cupcakes, "I think I'm in love with him."

"Aw, that's so cute," she said and then I watched as she put a cake into the over, "How was your trip?"

"Oh, it's was wonderful! Josh and I had so much fun!" I said happily and she smiled.

"Good, I'm glad."

-Sidney-

I pulled up in front of the school and then got out and leaned against the car. I heard the bell ring and all of the kids started to pour out of the school. I smiled when I saw Josh and Conner running out of the school and look around. I called them and they looked over towards me and their faces lit up. Josh ran over and I bent down and hugged him.

“How was school?” I asked and he smiled and hugged me.

“It was good, we’re going on a field trip tomorrow!”

“Oh really, to where?”

“To see you!” he said happily and I was confused.

“Really?”

“Mrs. Abbit said that we get to see you practice tomorrow,” Conner said and I still was confused because I didn’t know anything about this.

“That’ll be fun,” I said and then stood up and opened my back door. I picked Conner up and put him in the backseat and he slid over towards the other side and put his seatbelt on, “All right, little man,” I said and he smiled and I picked him up and placed him in his seat, “You all good?” I asked and then nodded their heads, “All right.”

I walked back over towards the driver’s side and headed back to the shop. When I parked the car, I looked in the review mirror to see that there was a black car with tinted windows that had followed me from the school to here. After everything that had happened with Kyle, Julie had definitely made me a paranoid person, and I was interested to find out who was watching us. I got out of the car and walked over to the other side of the car and helped Josh and Conner out of the car, telling them to run into the shop. I locked up my car and then walked into the shop and shut the blinds.

“What’s going on, man?”

I turned my head and saw Tyler and Allie looking at me. I looked back towards the kitchen and saw that Julie didn’t come out yet. I placed my finger to my mouth and then turned back to the blinds and moved them to look through, that car was still parked there.

“Sid?” Allie asked as she walked over towards me.

“Look through there and look at the creepy black car,” I said and both Allie and Tyler looked.

“What of it?” Tyler asked and I looked again.

“That car followed me all way from the school,” I said while not looking away from the window.

“You’re just paranoid,” Tyler teased.

“It’s been sitting out there for the past three days,” Allie spoke up and I looked back towards her, “I didn’t think anything of it, but, do you-“

“I don’t know,” I said as I looked back, “I don’t know if they’re after Julie.”

“Who could it be? Kyle’s in jail,” Tyler said and I nodded my head and then saw the passenger and driver’s side doors opening.

“Two people just got out of the car,” I said and then saw that they heading this way, “Make sure Julie doesn’t leave the kitchen!” I said to Allie and she nodded her head and ran back to the kitchen.

“What do we do, Sid?” Tyler asked and I took a deep breath.

“Calm down, first,” I said and he nodded his head, “We’ll just see what they’re up to.”

“All right.”

-Julie-

I was in the kitchen with Mildred, Josh and Conner when Allie walked in and she closed the door and locked it.

“What’s going on?” I asked Allie as I looked over towards her.

“Boys, go into the office and start your homework,” Allie said and then quickly ushered Josh and Conner into the office and then closed the door.

“Allie, what’s wrong, dear?” Mildred asked as we watched as Allie walked back into the office and then carried the TV monitor out that had the security video on them, “Allie, you’re scaring me!”

Allie set the TV up and then turned it on and we saw the front of the store. I saw Sidney and Tyler standing there and two guys walked in, and they were scary looking. Allie then looked up towards me and motioned for me to come over.

“Do you recognize these two?” she asked and I shook my head.

“Why?”

“Don’t panic,” she said and my eyes widened, because when someone tells you not to panic, of course you’re gunna panic, “But they’ve been following us for about three days now, and Sidney noticed them when he picked up the boys from school.”

“What do they want?” I asked and Mildred walked over.

“I don’t know, Ty and Sid are finding out,” Allie said and the three of us crowded around the monitor.

“They look like someone that works for the government,” Mildred said and I looked at her.

“What makes you say that?” Allie asked.

“Just the way they’re dressed,” Mildred said, “Maybe FBI.”

“For what though? Kyle’s in jail and no one’s after me,” I said looking at her confused and concerned.

“Are you sure?” Allie asked and I looked over towards her, “Are you sure that there’s no one else?”

“Positive!” I said and Allie sighed.

“I don’t think I could go through that again,” she said and I nodded my head in agreement.

I looked at the screen and saw that Tyler was walking away, we all turned our heads, and Allie walked over towards the door to see that Tyler was coming in.

“They want to talk to you Allie,” Tyler said and I looked at Allie confused.

“Why me? Who are they?” she asked.

“They said that they’re FBI,” Tyler said and Allie and I looked back towards Mildred to see that she was shrugging her shoulders.

“Too much TV,” she said and we sighed.
