Can I Trust You?

(GRACIE POV)

When I woke up the next morning, I realized I wasn't in my bed and I was cuddled with a very comfortable pillow. I had sighed and snuggled closer to my pillow when all of a sudden I felt arms around me. i jumped and sat up looking around.

"Baby whats wrong?" came a groggy voice. I realized it was Sid.
"I forgot that I was here last night. Wait... how did we end up here in your bed when we were on the couch last night?" I asked scared of the answer.
"You fell asleep at some point during the third movie, so i moved us up here. Don't worry nothing happened," he smiled reassuringly.
"Okay. I got a little nervous there," I chuckled.
"It's alright baby. You hungry? I could make you something or we could go out and eat? I have practice at 10:00"
"I can make you something here. I'll go see what you have and start whipping something up while you get ready to go to practice"
"Alright sweet stuff. I'll be down in a minute"
"K. How do you like your coffee?
"Black"
"Okay," I kissed his cheek before climbing our of bed and headed downstairs.

I was afraid i would get lost in his house. It was so big. But I made it down to the kitchen with no problem.

Now what can I make us for breakfast? I look in the fridge and I see some eggs so I take those out and some bread. I also see some fruit in there so I take that out too. I wonder how he likes his eggs or if he wants an omelet? I'll go ask him.

"Sid?!" I asked through his door.
"Yeah babe?!" he replied.
"How do you want your eggs? Or do you want an omelet?"
"Can I have an omelet baby?"
"Sure. What do you want in it?"
"Ham and just the usual vegetables you put in it. Like green pepper."
"Okay"

After asking Sid what he wanted, I headed down to the kitchen to start on our breakfast.

(SID POV)

She's the best girlfriend ever! In my past relationships, my girlfriend never made me breakfast. I was always the one to make it when I could anyways. With Gracie, I'm still gonna make her breakfast, it's just a change that my girlfriend is making me breakfast.

After I shower, I head downstairs and see Gracie finishing making breakfast.
"Smells good babe," I said. She had turned around and smiled at me before giving me a hug.
"Thanks. I hope you like it. I put everything in it you told me"
"I bet it will be delicious. Did you make something for yourself?"
"Yeah. I made myself scrambled eggs. I wasn't in the mood for an omelet. It's actually cooking now. Before you came down, I just put yours on the plate. Grab a seat."
"Okay" I walked over and sat on a stall at the island.
When she gave me my breakfast, I immediately dug in. She is one hell of a good cook. This breakfast is fucking delicious. "Holy shit babe this is good"
"Really? You can tell me the truth. I've never thought of myself as a good cook. I mean I love to cook, I just always thought I wasn't that good at it," she said sheepishly.
"Baby seriously this is amazing. You're gonna have to make this more often"
"Thank you. Now eat up. You have practice soon," she smiled.

After we ate, we both got ready to leave. I didn't want her to leave because I just wanna spend time with her.
"Do you have to work today or are you off?" I asked her in the car.
"Yeah I have to work today. I have to be at Dick's Sporting Goods by eleven," she said.
"You must really like sports and stuff if you work there, eh?"
"Haha yeah. More than you know. I grew up a sports fanatic"
"I can tell," I laughed.

We fell into a comfortable silence the rest of the way to her house. At some point I had grabbed her hand and kissed it a few times. I had looked over at here and saw her blushing and I just smiled.

When we got to her house, I didn't wanna leave her like I said. I hopped out of my Range Rover and went to open her door. heading up to the door, I was clutching her hand, although I had to let go so she could grab her keys. But I was still hugging her from behind while she opened to door.

"Do you have time to come in for a few minutes?" she asked.
I looked at my watch and saw i had an hour till practice. "Yea I got like an hour till practice." I followed her inside into the living room. When we got to the couch i laid down and pulled her on top of me in a hug.

"You smell good," she said nuzzling her nose into my chest. I just chuckled and held her closer if that was possible.

(GRACIE POV)

Being snuggled into his chest is like I'm on a pillow. I feel safe being in his arms. "I wish we could stay like this all day"
"Huh?"
"I wish we could stay like this all day. I didn't realize I said it out loud," I said sheepishly.
"Believe me sweetheart, I do too. But sadly I have to head to practice," he smiled apologetically.
"Ugh," I groaned, gently getting up. I didn't wanna end up hurting him while getting up.

"Oh baby, c'mere," Sid said.
I walked over to him on the couch and he pulled me in for a hug while he was still sitting. We were just looking into each others eyes and I bent down to give him a kiss.
"I have to get ready for work," I said.
"And I gotta head to practice. I'll see you late baby," he smiled.
"Okay. I'll talk to you later," I kissed his cheek then his lips.

After Sid left, I headed up to take a shower and get ready for work.

(SID POV)

On the way to practice, I couldn't keep the smile off my face. I had an awesome night last night with my girl, then spent more time with her this morning. With Gracie in my arms, I feel like I can keep her safe from any dangers.

Walking in the arena, I realized I was a little later than when I normally arrive for practice. I just shrugged and smiled knowing it was time well spent.

When I got in the locker room, I'm met by the guys throwing stuff at me.
"What he hell was that for?" I asked in confusion.
"You've been doing a lot of smiling lately. It took hearing Beau here talking to his girlfriend, Lilly, about you and your girlfriend, Gracie," Flower smirked.
"Shut up," I said but couldn't hold in my smile.
"So are you gonna give us any details or conformation?" Tanger asked with a smile on his face.
"Yes I have a girlfriend, and yes it's Gracie. If you noticed, it was the brunette I kept staring at, at the game last week. We went out last night, hung out and watched movies at my place, fell asleep, and I dropped her off at her house this morning because she had to work today." After I finish, everyone just stares at me, and there's a look in they eyes of the ones who are married or in a serious relationship. "What?" I asked confused.
"You're in love with her," Duper said.
"Wh-what? W-why would you say that?" I stuttered, hoping they wouldn't notice. They did.
"You had a look in your eye while talking about her. Even after only knowing each other for a while, you're falling in love with her," Staalsy said.
"I know I am. It's just, she's perfect. Everything I could ask for in a girl," I confessed.
"Just don't break her heart Sid," Cookie pointed out.
"I don't plan on it"

"So when do we get to meet her Sid?" TK asked.
"Maybe when I bring her to a game. I'll ask her to come to our game tomorrow night and meet you guys after"
"Does she like hockey? Mainly us?" Talbo asked.
"Believe me, she's a sports afan. Hockey, football, baseball. Yes that means us, Steelers, and Pirates. She's probably be in full Pens gear at eh game if she can come"
"Well that's a plus, eh?" Talbo asked.
"Hell yea"

After practice when I looked at my phone, I saw a few missed textes from Gracie.
'Hey baby. Just saying hi. Work's slow'
'Do you wanna come over for dinner tonight? I feel like cooking for you again tonight'
'If so. bring wine'

I couldn't help but laugh. She's so cute. So I text her back. 'Hey beautiful. Sorry work's slow and probably boring. Yes I will come over for dinner and I'll bring wine. See you soon. What time?'
'Ok. Is it safe to call you or are you still busy?'
'Yes'

Two minutes later my phone rings.
"Hey sweetheart!" I smile.
"Hey handsome! How was practice?" I can hear her smile.
"It was good. The guys over heard Beau talking about us to Lilly so they know about us. They also wanna meet the girl that captured my heart. I miss you," I said.
"Aww I miss you too! Do they guys really wanna meet me? I'm not something to get too excited about," she said sheepishly.
"I get excited hearing about you"
"Yea yea yea. So you're coming over for dinner?"
"Yup. So what's for dinner?"
"It's a surprise. Come over at about 7"
"Alright sweetie. See you tonight. Any specific type of wine?"
"Any kind is fine with me. Bye"
"Bye baby"
