No Sense of Direction 034:

Chapter Thirty Four

"You see that prick you call one of the guys, understand?" Zach ordered as he stood in front of us at the airport.

I nodded my head and Zach sighed and wrapped his arms around my neck, "I'm serious Kat, I wish I was able to stay, but I have a game-"

"I know, I'm not mad or anything, I understand," I said as my head was on my brother's chest and he rubbed my back, "Tell the guys I said hi, and tell Jordan I'm mad at him for not inviting me to his wedding!"

"It was moved," Zach said and I looked at him confused, "Him and Heather had a fight and she wanted to cancel it, but he fixed it and they moved the date to January."

"Oh, good, well tell him I better be invited!" I growled and Zach smiled and then kissed my head.

"I will," he muttered and then pulled away and looked at Dana, "You take care, Dana."

"I will! I'll watch your sister," she smiled as Zach walked over towards her and wrapped his arms around her neck.

"I want you to stay safe too," he muttered as he pulled back and stared at her.

I smirked because I knew that my brother liked Dana, he's liked her since she started working with my family, she was fifteen, he was sixteen. Dana would be the one who would played dolls and ride the horses with me and then go off dirt biking with Zach. I smiled widely when I saw how close they were and just staring at each other, I heard Zach's plane number over the announcements and knew that he had to leave.

"Just kiss her already!" I yelled and Zach and Dana looked back at me, and I nudged my head towards him.

"I'm getting there, turn around ya dork!" he growled and I laughed and shook my head.

I gave a little wolf whistle when Zach pressed his lips against Dana's and then smiled brightly when he pulled back and Dana had a smiled on her face, "Sexual tension!" I sang and Zach walked over towards me, grabbed my head and kissed my forehead and then waved goodbye.

-Sidney-

I was heading to Marc's house to pick him and his wife, Veronique, up. We wanted her to meet Kat, plus Marc wanted to show her the horses, because Vero loved horses. We had practice this morning, and Kat only showed her face for only a moment because she was taking Zach to the airport. Marc asked her if he could bring Vero over, and Kat was more than happy to say yes.

We arrived in Kat's driveway and I saw that she wasn't here. I texted her telling her that the three of us were and then sighed, '...Must still be at the airport...'

"Where is she?" Marc asked and felt my phone go off.

"On my way, five minutes," I read and then looked at Marc, "She's coming."

"All right," Marc said and then got out of the car.

"Where are you going?" Vero asked.

"To the stables, come on," Marc said and Vero looked at me unsure.

"It's fine, Kat's cool with letting us walk around her place," I said and she nodded her head and then climbed out of the car.

I parked the car and then got out and followed Marc and Vero over towards the stables.

"How many does she have?" Vero asked and as I watched as Marc held her hand.

"Seven I think," Marc said and then looked back towards me and I nodded my head. We heard a car pull up behind us and turned around to see that Kat was pulling in, "There's your girl, Sid!"

"Shut up," I muttered hearing him laugh and smiling towards Kat as she and Dana got out of the car, '...God she's beautiful...'

"Hey guys!" Kat said as she smiled towards us and then she and Dana walked over.

"Kat, this is my wife, Veronique," Marc introduced and then Kat and Vero shook hands.

"Call me Vero," she said and Kat nodded her head.

"Kat. Marc's told me so much about you," Kat smiled and Vero laughed.

"Hopefully good things," she insisted and Marc rolled his eyes.

"Of course, I hear you're a big horse person," Kat said and then walked passed them and motioned for us to follow, "I'll show you my babies!"

We all walked into the stables. Marc and I hung back while Kat walked Vero over towards the horses and I watched as Marc smiled at seeing Vero happy.

"They're so beautiful!" Vero cooed as she started to pet the horse's head.

"Would you like to go riding?" Kat asked and Vero's face lit up and she nodded her head viciously.

-Katrina-

"I'll be damned," I muttered as I watched as Sidney placed his hand on Blaze's neck and started to pet him, "He doesn't let anyone touch him, sometimes not even me."

"Maybe he likes Sidney," Dana muttered, standing next to me just as shocked as I was, "Maybe this is a sign, Kat. Blaze almost kicked Milan, remember, maybe he's trying-"

"Please, I hear it from everyone else, I can't hear it from you too," I begged and looked at her.

"All right," she breathed and I nodded my head. She walked over towards Blaze and smiled at Sidney, "So what do you say, Crosby?! You wanna take Blaze here for a spin?"

"Isn't he the one that like hates everyone?" Sidney asked and I smirked because he looked a little scared.

"He apparently likes you, he's letting you pet him, so we'll see," Dana said and I sighed.

"I don't know, Dana, I don't want Sidney getting hurt if Blaze decides that he all of a sudden doesn't like him," I said as I walked over and stated to Blaze and rubbed my hand down his face, "I'll have you ride Care-Bear, Sid."

"All right," he said and then sighed and I smiled.

"She's use to new riders so, she'll take care of you," I said and then walked over towards Care-Bear and looked at Dana, "Are you going to come with us?"

"No, I'll stay here, get some bills finished," she said and I nodded my head, "I'll get Balto ready for you."

"Thanks," I said and then pulled Care-Bear out of her stall and hooked the rope around her harness and started to put her saddle on.

Once I had gotten Care-Bear ready for Sidney, I had him take her reins and walk her outside of the stable so I could get Starfire ready for Marc. I laughed when he looked a little nervous.

"Am I too big for her?" he asked and I shook my head.

"She might look tiny, but she's got a hell of an attitude and is pretty strong," I explained and he nodded his head.

"Like your wife," Vero teased as she snuck next to Marc and kissed his cheek.

"Oh, that's right, I remember," Marc smirked and I shook my head.

I saddled and harnessed up Starfire for Marc and had him take her out of the stables and stand by Sidney.

"So who do I have, Kat?" Vero asked and I smiled towards her and walked over towards Lola's stall.

"This is my girl Lola, she likes to trot, so I hope you'll be all right with being bounced all over the place," I laughed and Vero smiled brightly and nodded her head.

"Can I help?" she asked as I grabbed Lola's saddle and nodded my head towards Vero. Once Vero and I placed the saddle and harness on Lola, Vero turned around and looked at Blaze and Nightwing, "What about those two?"

"Blaze isn't use to anyone riding him except my dad, Nightwing isn't really trained yet, and Snowflake is attached to Dana."

"What are you going to do with them?"

"I'm going to put them out in the field so they're not cramped up in their stalls," I explained and Vero nodded her head and started to walk Lola and Balto out of the stalls waiting over by Marc and Sidney.

"You want help?"

"Yeah," I said as I turned to see Dana walking to Blazes stall and grabbed his harness.

"Come on big boy," she smiled and walked Blaze out and kissed his face, "Deep down, you're just a big softy."

I laughed and walked to Nightwing's stall and walked him out and the two of us headed towards the gate to the fields. I opened it and then Dana and I walked in and let the two horses go.

"It's getting a little chilly, so we'll have to start putting their covers on," I said and Dana nodded her head as we walked into the stall.

"Have a good ride! I'll get Snowflake," Dana said as she walked towards Snowflakes stall and I headed towards the end of the stables to see everyone waiting.

"Ready?" they nodded their heads, "All right, do you know how to get on a horse?"

"No," Sidney shook his head.

"Nope," Marc said while looking at Vero who was already hoping up onto Lola's saddle.

I smirked and then saw that Balto's reins were tied to the fence. I patted Lola's neck and then walked her out of the way so that I could help Marc and Sidney. I explained to the boys that you always want to get on a horse on their left side, and laughed when Sidney sat backwards, oh Marc wasn't going to let that one slide.

Once everyone was on their horses, I hopped up onto Balto and trotted over towards the others, "Ready?" they nodded their heads and Vero came up next to me as the boys were behind us and we headed towards the path.
