No Sense of Direction 041:

Chapter Forty One

"You have fun down with my brother, all right, Dana!" I said as I walked Dana to the security check point, "Call me when you get there!"

"All right," she laughed and then I hugged her, "I'll see you in a week!"

"See ya!" I waved and then watched as Dana walked through security.

It's been about a week since the game against Boston. Tyler wasn't taking his injury too well, but who could blame him. Milan felt horrible for what had happened to him, which he should, he kept on trying to call me, but I didn't want to talk to him.

Sidney was another one, I was so mad at him for acting like a jerk to me when I was just trying to do my job and help him. He tried to apologize, but I didn't want to hear it, I took this one personally. He would try to call me or talk to me at the games and practices, but I didn't want to talk to anyone. I didn't even want to talk to Chris or Zach when they called me.

I left the airport and stopped to pick some Burger King, I ate it on the way home, hungry right then and there, not wanting to wait. I pulled into my driveway and was surprised to see Sidney's car in my driveway. I parked my car and then walked over towards his to see that it was empty. I figured he was in the stables, but I wanted to go inside and let the puppies out before I went over there.

"Hi guys!" I said as I walked into the front door and was immediately attacked by the two German Shepherds, "Let's go outside!"

I walked to the back door and then headed over towards the barn, seeing that the two were following me. I saw the door opened and looked inside to see that Sidney was in front of Blaze's stall and petting his head. If I wasn't upset with him, I probably would be smiling.

"What are you doing here, Sidney?" I asked and he jumped a little, not hearing me come over.

"I wanted to talk to you," he said as he looked at me.

"Why?"

"You haven't been returning my phone calls, you don't talk to me at practices or games- Kat, I'm trying to apologize for acting like a total dick the other night, but you're not letting me," he said as he walked over towards me, being careful not to step on the pups.

"Because I don't want to talk to you, or Milan or anyone about what happened the other night," I said as I walked passed him and walked down to Nightwing's stall.

"Why?" he asked as he followed after me, "Kat-"

"Because I'm sick of being fought over!" I yelled as I turned around and looked at Sidney, "I know that's what the fight was about! I don't know why he started-"

"He told me to back off," Sidney said and I looked at him, "But I don't want to back off."

Sidney took a step closer towards me and my back hit the stall, "Sid-"

"I don't get it, how can you let Lucic treat you like this!" Sidney said and I looked at him, "He's just using you, Katrina!"

"Why do you people keep saying this?" I asked feeling the tears well up in my eyes, because I just want to be left alone about this, "Why can't you just leave me alone-"

"Because we actual care about you, Kat!" Sidney yelled and stood in front of me, "I care about you!"

"Sid-"

"I know you don't want to marry him!"

My head shot up and I glared, not really at him, but towards the fact that I knew my brother hadn't kept his mouth shut.

"Don't look at me like that, I'm not stupid, I saw the way you were around him. You don't want to talk about him, and when the question about if your love is real, you-"

"Stop," I muttered and then looked down.

"Kat," Sidney called and I felt his hand underneath my chin and push my face up, "He doesn't care."

"Please, just stop."

"Kat, listen to me-"

"I am listening to you, Sidney! Please stop! I don't-"

"Want to talk about it! I know! You never do! Tell me why!" he yelled and I flinched at his sudden aggression, "Kat."

I looked him in the eye and I saw something that I hadn't seen in Milan's eyes in a long time, "Sid, I- I can't," I said and then walked away from him only for him to grab my wrist, "Let go."

"No," he said and I turned back towards him, "Not until you tell the truth."

"Truth about what?"

"Truth about yourself! Be honest with yourself, Katrina!" Sidney said as he held my wrist but walked up to me. He brought his hand up and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear, "Do you love Milan?"

My heart was pounding, my breathing was heavily, I felt like I was going to be sick, and Sidney just looked down at me and waited for my answer, "I don't know," was all I could muttered and Sidney scoffed.

"It's not that hard, Kat! You either do or you don't!" he stated and I tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let me go, "Come on, Kat!"

"I-"

"Do you want to marry, Lucic?!" he yelled and I looked away, I couldn't look at him, "Katrina!"

"No!" I yelled and then I felt my knees weaken and I fell the ground, "No," I breathed as I felt my wrist drop, "I don't want to marry, Milan."

"Then don't," Sidney said as he grabbed my arms and helped me stand, leaning me against Balto's stall, "Don't marry him, Katrina," he said as he pressed his body against mine and leaned his face in. Sidney's face was inches from mine, our lips barely touching, his hot breath on my face, “Tell me you won’t marry him, Katrina.”

“What?” I asked not able to think clearly, '...Oh my god, the dream!...' I thought as I realized that the dreams that I have been having lately were playing out like this, just like this.

“Tell me!” he said a little forcefully and it made me groan when he pressed his body against mine, “Say it!”

“Sidney don't."

"Come on Katrina, tell me you won't marry him!" Sidney breathed as he grabbed my wrist and pinned them next to my head.

"I won’t-“

“That’s it," he breathed as I felt his lips on my neck, "Say it."

“I won’t marry him," I managed to get out and then felt Sidney's lips on mine, and I felt no hesitation to kiss him back, '...Oh my god, this is happening!...'

I felt Sidney's finger grab the ring on my left hand and pull it off, "You don't need this," he muttered as the ring was thrown to the ground.

I looked up at him and he let go of my wrists and placed his hands on my waist, pushing my body closer to him, as my hands twisted themselves around his neck, and my fingers were tangled in his hair. He pushed my roughly against the stalls and then kissed my neck, I let out a moan as his hands were under my shirt.

"He doesn't care about you, Kat," Sidney breathed in-between his kisses, "I do."

He moved his hands down my body and grabbed my thighs, pulling them up and to his waist. I felt him start to walk somewhere, a door was kicked open, and I knew we were in the office. He laid me down on the leather couch and climbed on top of me. I groaned and arched my back as I felt Sidney's knees go in-between my legs to part them, and then felt his hands under my shirt.

"Who do you love, Kat?" Sidney breathed as he pulled away from me and grabbed my wrists, "Tell me who you love."

"You," I gasped as his knee brushed up against my place and I threw my hands around his neck and brought his lips back down onto mine, "I love you, Sidney."

"Good," he said and I saw his shirt fly off and I couldn't help but put my hands on his chest, "I love you too, Katrina."

I sat up and pressed my lips onto his and then felt his hands at the end of my shirt and pull his up over my head. I was pulled closer to him and Sidney laid back, pulling me on top of him.

-Sidney-

'...It happened, it really happened...' I thought as I looked at Katrina who was putting her clothes back on. I smirked as I looked at her, "Kat," she looked back at me and I saw something in her face that I wasn't prepared to see, fear, "What's wrong?"

"I cheated," she said and I sighed.

I got up from the couch and looked around the off, we had gotten tired of the couch and I ended up picking her up and throwing her onto the desk. I looked back at her and placed my hand on her neck and brought my lips to hers, "You didn't cheat."

"This feels like cheating, Sidney."

"End it with him, Katrina," I said as I cupped her face and kissed her again, "I'll take care of you."
