No Sense of Direction 051:

Chapter Fifty One

"Repeat after me!" I barked as I looked at the team, "I. Will. Not. Get. Hurt!"

"Kat-"

"Do it!" I growled and the guys sighed, but did what I told them to do, "Geez, it's like you guys are being targeted. Sid's out, Paul's out, Kris' out and now James' out. No one else get hurt!"

"We have to bring some more people up," Uncle Dan said as he walked into the room.

"Who?" Geno asked and Uncle Dan stood next to me and smirked.

"Chris is coming up," he said and my eyes widened and a huge smile was on my face.

"Chris?! No way!" I squealed and jumped up and down.

"He's on his way up, with Beau Bennet again too," Uncle Dan said and I smiled brightly and nodded my head.

My little brother's first big break in the NHL, "I'm so happy for him."

"Who's Chris?" Iginla asked.

"My little brother," I smiled and he nodded his head.

"Great, another one," he teased and I stuck my tongue out at him.

"They should be here by tonight," Uncle Dan announced and I squealed with excitement and then felt Geno wrap his arm around my shoulder, "We leave for the airport tomorrow at seven."

"All right," everyone said and then Uncle Dan walked out of the locker room and I smirked towards the guys.

"See ya later," I smiled and then patted Geno's chest and walked out of the locker room. I grabbed my cell phone and then dialed my brother's number.

"Hello?"

"Where are you?" I asked as I walked down the hall, towards the door heading into the parking lot.

"Kat?"

"Who else?"

He laughed and I rolled my eyes, "I'm not sure."

"What do you mean 'I'm not sure'?" I asked as I walked outside, zipped up my jacket, and walked over towards my truck.

"Bennett's driving so I'm pretty sure we're lost," Chris laughed and I smirked and shook my head.

"Well, just as long as you're at the airport by seven tomorrow, we'll be fine," I teased as I hopped into my car.

"Oh, sure, drive all around Pennsylvania just to find a damn airport," Chris laughed and I turned the truck on.

"You're a goofball," I laughed, "Congrats though on being brought up, you call Zach?"

"Thanks, and no, not yet, wanted to surprise him when we play him on Friday!"

"It'll definitely be a surprise," I laughed and pulled out of my parking spot, plugging my phone into the car so that I didn't have to hold it, and Chris could be heard throughout the truck speakers, "You two know how long you're staying?"

"No, they didn't tell us, but I know they set Bennet up in a hotel," Chris said and I scoffed.

"I'll call to tell them to cancel it, he'll just stay with us," I said and Chris laughed and I heard him say something to Beau, "What?"

"I figured you would say that, so I already called Uncle Dan and told him that," Chris said and I smiled as I pulled up to a stop light.

"Good, I'll get Zach's room ready for him," I said and then tapped the gas when the light was green.

"All right, we'll be there in like three more hours, I hope," Chris laughed and I heard Beau yelling at him.

"Well all right, I'll see you soon."

"Love you."

"Love you too," I smiled and then hit end on my phone, and then turned the radio up.

When I got home I saw that Dana was walking around with all three dogs behind her. I honked my horn and she smiled and waved towards me. I parked the truck and then got out of the car and walked over towards her, bending down to see my puppies.

"How's James?" Dana asked as I stood up and wiped the dog fur from my pants.

"Concussion," I sighed and Dana shook her head.

"You need to put those boys in a bubble when they're on the ice," she teased and I smirked and nodded my head.

"So Chris and Beau are being brought up from the AHL," I smiled as we walked over towards the stables.

"Really? That's so exciting!" Dana cheered and I nodded my head, "How long will you be gone for?"

We walked into the stables and I saw that Tyler was standing in front of Starfire's stall and petting her head, "Um, I think eight days. We leave tomorrow morning for North Carolina, then Florida, then back to North Carolina, and then Washington."

"Wow, a lot of away games."

"Well we've had a lot of home games, most of this month is away games," I said and walked over towards Tyler and patted his back.

"When's your game against the Bruins?" he asked and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Next month, I know, but I don't know when."

"Well, let's go look," he said and I smirked as we walked into the office and I sat at the desk.

"Let's see, tomorrow night is against the Hurricanes, then Thursday is traveling day, Friday night we play the Tampa Bay, Saturday afternoon is the Panther's, Sunday is traveling day, Monday night we play the Hurricanes again, Tuesday we were given off, so I guess we'll still be in North Carolina, because Wednesday morning we fly to Washington, and that night we play the Capitals," I said and then looked up at Dana and Tyler, "And then come home on Thursday."

"Sounds like fun," Tyler said and I laughed.

"Yeah, being on the road with all of the guys for over a week, real blast," I laughed and Tyler shook his head. I looked back on the calendar and saw that after we came home from Washington, we had about three days off, and then on the first day of February, we had a home game against Boston, "Great."

"It's home?" Tyler asked as he leaned over my shoulder and looked at the calendar, "It'll be fine Kat."

"I'm sure it will be," I said and then groaned and shook my head, "I gotta get Zach's old room ready."

"Why?" Tyler asked as he moved out of the way so that I could stand.

"Beau Bennet is staying with us while he's here, him and Chris were brought up because of our four injured players," I said and Tyler nodded his head.

-Chris-

"Dude, you got us lost! Pull over!" I growled and Beau shook his head.

"We're not lost!"

"Yes we- Oh wait no, stop!"

"What?"

"I recognize that sign!" I said and he pulled over and backed up, making sure that no one was there as we backed up, "Dude, we went in a circle! Let me drive! You have no idea what you're doing!"

"I do so!"

"How the hell did you do this drive by yourself?" I growled as I got out of the car and walked towards the driver's door and opened it, "Out!"

"Fine," he said and then got out and I stepped into the seat, tempted to drive off without him.

He sat in the car and I pulled out of the side of the road and into the traffic. I took a different way, since the last time only brought us where we started.

"Did that sign just say-"

"I'm gunna kill you," I mumbled as I pulled over again and looked at the GPS sitting on the dashboard. I grabbed it and then looked at the address that he had typed in, "Dude! You're sent us to freaking Virginia!"
