No Sense of Direction 054:

Chapter Fifty Four

"Sorry Zach, maybe next time," Chris mocked as he skated off of the ice and smirked towards Zach.

I was using every ounce of my strength not to squeal like some fan girl and tackle my little brother right there. He had just scored the winning goal with less than a minute left on the clock, with the final score being four to three, Penguins.

When they got into the locker room, I walked into the visitor's Coach's office and saw Uncle Dan sitting at his desk. I smiled towards him and sat in the chair in front of the des, "So you going to keep him up?"

"Now you know that's not my decision," he said and I sighed and nodded my head, "Your brother's good, Katrina, and he fits in well with this team, but once Crosby, Neal and Martin come back, who knows if they'll stay or not. It's like Bennett, he's only brought up when needed."

"I know, but they're both so good, I just don't understand why we don't keep them," I said and he nodded his head.

Once everyone had showered and changed, the media wanted to talk to Chris about his victory goal, I was so proud of my little brother. I walked into the hallway and saw that Zach had his arm around Chris' shoulder telling the press that he was happy for Chris, but he would get him next time. I smiled at my brothers and then left the hallway, heading over towards the door and over towards the bus.

-Zach-

"I didn't realize I was hosting a party," I said as I looked to see that most of my teammates were at my house, as well as the Penguins.

"Sorry, they kind of followed," Kat said as she walked into my kitchen.

"Good thing I have the room, but some of the guys had to go on a booze run," I said and she laughed, "Oh, Aunt Nancy sent a package in the mail, you might want to look at it."

"What is it?" Kat asked and I motioned for her to follow me.

We walked into the living room and she sat on the armrest of the couch and I walked over towards the box next to the flat screen TV, "Uncle George took all of our VHS home movies and turned them into DVDs."

"Oh god, not home movies," she said and I smirked and put the first one on, "NOOO!!! Turn it off!"

I laughed and looked at the screen to see that it was Kat singing and old Cher song when she was about seven years old.

"What's going on in here?" I heard and Kat and I turned around to see Crosby standing in the doorway.

"Nothing, go away!" Kat laughed and I shook my head.

"My Aunt sent us some old home movies and she's embarrassed," I said and Crosby smirked and walked into the room, even though Kat was trying to push him out.

"Aw, you're so cute," he cooed and I laughed and heard Kat whine.

"Shut up! Go! You're not allowed to see this!" she yelled and I laughed harder when I saw more people, both my teammates and the Penguins walking into the living room and laugh at the movie.

They made themselves comfortable and looked at the TV. Before I knew it, my living room was crowded with people and I had sat on the couch next to Kat, as Sidney had sat on the floor in front of her.

"When was this?" Chris asked as I turned and saw him leaning against the wall smirking.

"I think mom was pregnant with you," I said and looked back towards the TV to see that Kat and I were running around the fields with the two horses that my parents use to own, before they died.

I was running towards the camera, I think my dad was holding it, and all of a sudden I tripped and you heard my mom and sister laughing.

"Oooooooooh!" all the guys were laughing because when I picked my face up I had crap on it.

"He fell in horse doo doo daddy!" Kat laughing and I looked towards my sister on the couch to see that she was cracking up laughing.

"I remember that!" Kat said and nudged my arm.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, shut up," I muttered and looked to see that all the guys were laughing, "Ok, that's enough of that!"

"NO!" everyone yelled and I shook up my head.

The TV went black and then another part of the movie picked up. I looked at the date in the corner of the screen and saw that it was July 1999, I was thirteen, Kat was nine or ten and Chris was four or five. My eyes widened as I looked on the screen to see that Kat was standing in the middle wearing a dress and looking like a diva, Chris was next to her sitting on the floor pouting because mom had just stuck a flower hat on him.

"God, turn it off," Chris said and Kat was sitting next to me laughing so hard that she was having a hard time breathing.

"Oh, I love home movies," she said and I snorted.

"Only because you're the one who doesn't look like a fool," I said and she smiled towards me.

"Come on Zach," I heard on the TV to see that dad had pointed the camera at me and my mom was holding a dress in front of me.

"Oh my god," I breathed and rubbed my head.

"Mom! I'm a boy! I don't wear dresses!" I told my mom and you heard my dad sigh.

"Dear, he's a hockey player, we're trying to man him up, not girl him up," my dad said and my mom waved him off.

"Ok, ok, change it," Kat snickered and I sighed and skipped ahead to the next one.

"Oh, here's one for you, Kat!" Chris said and I laughed when it went back to when Kat was seven and I was ten.

"Mommy, why does Zach get to have his shirt off?" the seven year old girl asked and I looked over towards Kat to see that she had her hands over her face and was shaking her head.

"Not so fun is it?" I laughed and she smirked and shook her head.

"Katrina, keep your shirt down!" my mom yelled and the guys around the room were laughing.

"But mommy! Why does Zach not have to?!" she whined and I heard Kat groan and shake her head, telling Crosby to shut up because he was teasing her.

"Because, you're a girl," my mother answered and then smacked the little girl's hand because she tried to take her shirt off again, "Katrina Spelling!"

"Ooooo, full name!" Jordan teased as he stood behind Kat.

"Shut up! I'm sure your brother has some embarrassing videos on you!" Kat said and I snorted.

"That's for damn sure!" Eric and I head Jordan scoff and then heard the guess yell and looked back towards the screen to see that Kat had taken her shirt off and was running around the yard.

"Turn it off!" Kat yelled and I laughed and saw my dad had placed the camera on a table or something, because all you see is him and my mom chasing after the little seven year old.

"Damn Zach, you had a big head!" Cam Ward said as my head appear on the TV, I was walking in front of the camera and staring into the camera lens.

"What are you doing?" Kat asked and I shook my head.

"I have no clue," I laughed and Kat placed her hand on my head and shook it a little.

We watched more and more home movies and embarrassed ourselves in front of our friends. There were some that we had to skip over, one being our first baths, why my parents videotaped that, I have no clue.

"I'm going to hell for child pornography," I muttered as I just skipped over the video of Kat's playing with her dolls in the tub.

"You're fine," Kat said and I looked to see that she had her hands over Jordan's eyes, "I don't have enough hands."

I snorted and then looked to see that the timestamp was November 2000, I was sixteen, Kat was fourteen, Chris was eleven. It was Kat's school talent show, she was singing Believe by Cher with our cousin, Cindy.

"Oh god, turn it off!" Kat whined and I laughed and shook my head.

"Oh! This is where she pushed Cindy off of the stage!" Chris said and I looked back towards him and nodded my head.

"A bitchy little dive she was!" I laughed and Chris pounded his fist with mine.

"I didn't push her off the stage!" Kat yelled and I shook my head.

"You little stage hog!" Jordan teased and I shook my head and laughed when Kat pushed her back into his chest.

"Go away, Staal!" she muttered and I smirked.

We played the video, and like we said, half way into the song, Kat pushed Cindy off of the stage. All the guys were laughing, because Kat looked like she jumped and just continued with the song.

"Oh my god, she tripped! I didn't push her!"

"Not what we're seeing, mon cher," Kris Letang laughed and everyone else agreed.

"I didn't push her!" she defended.

"Hey, she's a bitch anyways," Chris said and I nodded my head, "Did you see anyone arguing that you pushed her that day?"

"But I didn't push her!"

"Sure you didn't Kat!" I laughed and she pouted.

"You guys are jerks!"
