Shea felt like all the wind had been knocked out of her. It was almost like she hadn't heard Kelsey correctly, maybe she just heard what she wanted to hear.

Shea could barely make out her next couple of words, "What? He.. what?"

She could hear the voices in the background on Kelsey's side, so surely she was joking about Sidney ditching the wedding, but Kelsey said the exact same words again just because Shea seemed hard of hearing, "Shea, Sidney did not go through with the wedding."

There those words were again, either Shea's ears were deceiving her, or Sidney really left Brooke at the alter, "But why?"

"Because he's in love with someone else."

Shea knew the voice didn't belong to Kelsey, it was too deep and masculine, had somebody else jumped on the phone and started talking to Shea. She hadn't heard the hustling and bustling of lines changing so as far as she knew the voice was either in her head, or directly behind her.

It was directly behind her.

"Sidney."

-----------

Sidney was still standing in the dressing room, staring at the tie Shea had just been holding when Duper and Neal stepped into the room. He honestly hadn't heard them enter, or even seen them for that matter, until they were just inches from his face. They had thought he had gone into shock over the fact that he was getting married, like vows and all.

But they didn't what had just happened, and they didn't know that Sidney was trying to pick up his shattered heart that lay on the floor in front of him, a victim of Shea's goodbye.

"Hello. Hello. HELLO EARTH TO SIDNEY!!" Dupuis was waving his hand in front of Sidney's face back and forth in a ticking motion, but no such luck. James was just walking in circles around his friend, he had an inkling as to what was going on, because there was no way Sidney would feel this much emotion over Brooke.

"She told you didn't she?" Sidney finally looked at James, not even bothering to open his mouth, he just nodded his head before looking back down at the same exact spot on the floor he had been staring at moments before.

Pascal looked between Sidney and James, confusion written all over his face, "Who the hell said what?"

"Shea," It was the first noise Sidney had made since they had stepped into the room, "She left." Pascal could see the tears start to brim up in his Captains eyes.

Shit, Dupuis thought. Knowing just how much it was going to take to get Sidney out of whatever was happening and decide on whether or not he wanted to follow his heart, or his PR departments heart.

James knowing nothing was going to get Sidney alert and focused, other than Shea herself, which wasn't going to happen since he had seen her running down the street towards the bus stop, he did the only rational thing he could do at that moment, he slapped Sidney.

Sidney, in anger, "What the fuck James? Can you not tell I'm a little upset? Jesus Christ you could've just talked to me instead of slapping me." James just stood in front of Sidney with his arms crossed over his chest, not even bothering to flinch when Sidney had started to yell.

He grabbed his Captains shoulders, "Look we don't have much time. I bet she's already on her connecting flight before she gets on the flight for London so we have to move fast. Do you love her Sidney?" Sidney was silent. "It's a simple yes or no question." Sidney nodded his head. "Now do you love Brooke?" Again Sidney stood staring at the oblivion ahead, he honestly didn't know. He loved Shea that was for sure, but he didn't think he ever loved Brooke.

"No…"

James nodded his head, not judging in anyway because if it was him, he would of thrown Brooke to the side the moment he met her, "Now what are you going to do Sidney? Marry a girl you don't love and will probably divorce next week or go get the girl that you love and always will love?"

"I'm gonna go get Shea."

James nodded his head, "Good, but uh there is one pressing issue." Sidney stood staring at James, not knowing what was holding him back from getting Shea, "You need to tell the Bride she no longer has a Groom."

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck, Sidney thought before face palming himself. How could he forget that he was standing in a dressing room wearing a suit and about five minutes away from getting married. He quickly nodded his head, wiped his sweaty palms on his dress pants and walked out of the room towards the slapping he was prepared, and fully ready to accept.

James stood in all his glory, knowing he had just, one, stopped Sidney from marrying a complete and total bitch who nobody liked including Sidney himself, and two, had gotten him to realize he loved Shea and wanted to be with her. He was pretty damn proud of himself.

"When did you become such a pussy?"

James looked over at Pascal before hitting him on the back of the head, "Oh shut up Duper." He walked out the door, Dupuis walking behind still laughing at his own comment. They walked towards the crowd, ready to tell them that the wedding was off. They just hoped the guests didn't kill the messengers.

Off in the other room, Sidney was rapping on the door softly. He heard Brooke bossing what he guessed to be her bridesmaids around. She screamed come in, Sidney didn't really know if he wanted to go in. But Brooke didn't deserve to be left at the alter, and Sidney didn't want to be known for the guy that even thought about doing something like that. So he twisted the handle of the door, before pushing it open to see girls running frantically around the room. He could see Brooke with an evil smile on her face as everybody was doing things she was probably supposed to be doing herself.

"Uh Brooke we need to talk," Sidney said. Everything around him stopped, like someone had pressed pause on the movie that was his life. Brooke swatted her bridesmaids out of the room before turning to look at Sidney.

"You know it's bad luck to see the Bride before.." Brooke stopped before she could finish the sentence, seeing the look on Sidney's face she knew why he was in here. "You're calling off the wedding, aren't you?"

Sidney looked down at his hands, the last thing he wanted was to hurt Brooke, but there was never a competition between her and Shea, she had just been collateral damage the whole time. He looked back up to see Brooke grabbing a seat, tears in her eyes.

"It's because of Shea isn't it?"

Sidney nodded his head, "Look Brooke--"

"No Sidney I get it. As much as that hurts to say I understand. Why I was stupid enough to believe you actually loved me when I saw the way you looked at her, even talked about her. You were damaged goods, and I prey on the week." Sidney breathed a sigh of relief. "But I'm still fucking pissed and the minute you leave I'm gonna rip everything to shreds and then run around the garden screaming I hate you, but don't worry I won't ruin your good name."

Sidney chuckled, "I didn't mean for you to get hurt, but please rip and tear everything apart if you need to, I'm just sorry Brooke. I am so so sorry, but this is the right thing for me to do, not only for myself, but for you too." Brooke nodded her dolled up head understandingly. She had to admit that her heart was still in tact and maybe this was really for the better. She had always promised herself she wouldn't marry a man who was a. already married or b. in love with someone else. Sidney fell under category B, but she was okay. If anything, her unbroken heart, and almost dry eyes, should probably tell everyone that she wasn't the slightest bit broken hearted.

"Besides, I'll just sleep with James."

Sidney laughed walking closer to Brooke. He leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. She smiled warmly before lifting her hand up to wave him out the door.

"Now where's James."

-----------

Sidney hoped and prayed on every God there was that Shea hadn't already gotten onto her flight for London. He had found out where her connecting flight had landed, New York, and he quickly bought a plane ticket for the next flight out, not even bothering to change.

He grabbed a hat, hoping that maybe no one would notice him, even as he walked through the airport with a suit on. He didn't bring a bag, and if Shea wasn't there when he got there, he had no clue what his plan would be.

But after everything, Sidney sort of thought somebody up there owed him something.

The flight was quick, he had mostly just bounced his leg and stared out the window the whole time. He must've looked like he was nervous for a wedding or something. Once the plane landed and the doors opened, Sidney was the first off and running towards the Departure board.

There it was, London Flight #MT457 set to depart in an hour. Sidney quickly looked up at the boring airport ceiling, hands in prayer position, and bowed his head in silence. Then he took off running. He didn't know where he was going, maybe she was sitting at the gate, or getting something to eat. He walked to the gate, no luck. He walked towards the main restaurant area, no luck there either. He was about the pay some little girl $20 to go into the girls bathroom and tell him if she was in there, every single bathroom, when he saw her hair and heard her laugh. At what he didn't know, but it was an unmistakeable laugh. He turned towards the sound to see her sitting at the bar, watching a football game, one he couldn't quite depict. Not that he was trying to anyways.

He walked over towards the bar, she was on her cellphone. He walked closer, hearing her ask about the wedding.

Oh little did she know.

"What? He… what?"

Whoever she was talking to, either her brothers or Kelsey had just told her that he had ditched out on his own wedding.

"But why?"

This was his shot, "Because he's in love with someone else."

-----------

Sidney could see her looking around the bar, wondering if it was whoever was on the phone that had said it, but then it seemed to have clicked. She started to look around the room, before she swiveled in her chair, her eyes landing straight on his. "Sidney."

Sidney took two short strides before he was staring down at a wide-eyed Shea. She had hung up with whoever she was on the telephone with and was starting to stand up. "Sidney wha--"

Sidney didn't even let her finish the question before his lips were on hers. He was tired of the little, small thank you and goodbye kisses, he went for the all inclusive, I just flew two hours because you're dramatic, kiss. Their tongues danced together in an all too familiar dance. Their lips fitting perfectly together, hers tasting like lime and tequila. Sidney's tasting of desperation and lust. Sidney half expected to open his eyes and see the doe-eyed young Shea he had fallen in love with all those years ago.

But to his pleasure, he opened his eyes to an even better Shea.

He grabbed her head between his hands, "I love you."

Shea looked up at the man that had called off a wedding for her, just to tell her he loved her, and felt nothing but pride and love.

"I love you too Sid."
