Summary

Gun fires filled the air along with smoke. His vision was blurry as he began to feel dizzy. He heard screams from his fellow troops but he couldn't make out what they were saying. Hompkins hovered over him, shaking him to make him focus and stay with him. The struggle was too hard to overcome. His mind began playing flashbacks to when he was with her. Visions of her dancing, singing, running, cuddled in his lap, all surfaced his mind. He was weak now but the only thing he could do was let her name slip his lips. His eyes rolled back as his lids closed, his breathing short. With a slight slip of the tongue, he spoke before losing consciousness.
