All of me

'Hi, table for 11 please? Sorry there a quite a few of us.' I say as I step up to the hostess.

'No worries! But I'm afraid there is a 30 minute wait.' She says

'That's fine. Thank you!' I go back to the group who are waiting by the benches.

I tried avoiding Reilly. He was being so immature about this whole situation. I was talking to the boys when I realized Reilly had grabbed Jess and walked away from the group.

'What are you guys talking about?' Danny shouted.

'Nothing that concerns you.' Reilly snapped back. He looked at me for a few seconds and turned to Jess annoyed.

Reilly's POV

'Okay, listen. I don't even know where to begin-’ I said between my teeth. I continue,

'You have placed yourself in some real deep shit here Jess-' Jess interrupts me.

'I know, I know! I'm so sorry for not telling you. But I don't know how to tell him Reilly. He'll never look at me the same way again.'

'He's going to be angry at me for keeping this from him. If this ruins our friendship I swear-' she interrupts me again.

'Please don't say anything' as she places her hand on my upper arm.

'Don’t touch or interrupt me ever again. I've had enough of you.' I snapped. I couldn't even look at her. She disgusted me. She put her head down and did her best to hold back her tears.

'I'll be there when you tell him and I'll back your story up.'

'Okay fine. Just say when.' I nod

'We can grab coffee after lunch.' As I walk away.

'Thank you Reilly.' She says as I look at her.

'I'm not doing this for you' I say as I walk towards the group. I rejoin the group and eventually so does Jess.

'Table for Emma?' The hostess says as we all follow her.

'That's us! I'm starving!' Marchy says as he leads the group.

I head towards the front to meet up with Emma.

'Hey' I say, not sure if I was get a response.

'Hi.' She says quietly.

'We are grabbing coffee after this and she’ll tell him.'

'Good. Have fun.' She walks infront of me. She was being so stubborn. We all got seated and I sat next to her.

'Emma don't be like this. I want you to come with me'

'Why would I come with you?' She looks at me with an angry expression.

'I want you there. Please do this for me.'

She exhales and gives a slow nod as her eyes were wondering somewhere else.

'Thank you' I softly say.

She doesn't say anything but I'll take it. I deserved it. She was only trying to help me and I totally took it out of context.

Lunch flew by but I was not looking forward to what was coming next.

'Kevin why don't you and Jess come with me and Emma so we can show you around a bit? We can meet the others later on.' I say.

'Sounds good! Are you okay with this babe?' He says as he looks at Jess. She slowly nods and flashes him a soft smile.

We all get into the car and drive around for a while. We show them most of Boston since it's not that big compared to other cities which I loved.

'Babe, Can we stop and grab a coffee?' Emma shouts from the back. Thank you Emma. I park on the street as we head to a little Italian cafe in the north end.

Here we go.

Emma's POV

'I kind of gave up coffee, I feel so much better!' Jess says

'Yeah that's good though. I'm thinking about giving it up. Maybe in the winter.' I said as she starts laughing. Her smile shortly disappeared.

Kevin and Reilly ordered a expresso while I order a cappuccino. Jess orders a dessert. After everyone orders their drink it's pretty much an awkward silence.

'I'm really loving this city. I'm surprised I have visited before' Kevin says.

'Now that I'm here you can come whenever you like brother.' Reilly says as he pats Kevin in the back.

‘Definetly! Thanks bro’ Kevin says with a smile on his fave

'Kevin there is something that I need to tell you...' Jess says. Kevin’s smile slowly fades.

Reilly and I stare at each other, surprised she was the first one who brought it up.

'What's wrong babe? Is everything okay?' Kevin's says as he grabs her hand.

'Everything is fine. It's just that, this isn't my first time in Boston. I came here a few months ago because...' She got quiet. Reilly jumped in.

'Because when I found out she was pregnant I wanted to know if- she could fill me in about what happened at that party that night and wanted to make sure-'

'Wait...what? You thought that the child could be yours?'

'I blacked out that night and don't remember anything Kevin. I just wanted some answers.'

'I didn't think it was that big of a deal that's why I didn't mention it to you. I'm sorry Kevin' Jess says as she grabs his hand

'You wanted the kid to be his, didn't you?! Come on Reilly, she's always had a thing for you and you becoming a professional NHL player is the cherry on top'

He started shouting. People turned their heads. I didn't blame him, what he said was right. He knew Jess inside out but we had to convince him this wasn't the case.

'It is not like that Kevin. Please calm down.' As Reilly shook his head and looked down at his cup.

'What?! Of course not. How can you say that! I love you Kevin' Jess says.

'So all of you guys know each other. All of you! Thanks for making me look like a fool in front of everybody.' Kevin's says as he realized his tone range and lowered his voice by taking a deep breath. He gets up and leaves.

'Kevin please.' Reilly says as Kevin leaves the cafe. Reilly puts his face in his hands.

'Let me talk to him.' I say as I get up and follow him outside.

'Kevin, please hear me out. I insisted we don't tell you because I didn't want to jeopardize your relationship with Reilly's but he insisted on telling you. Even if it mean ruining your friendship. It is not a big deal, you can't blame him for wanting to know what happened that night. You knew what he was going through those first few months in Boston. Jess just came here, filled him in and told him in person it wasn't his and that it was yours. And she left. That's all that happened. We couldn't tell you because we wanted Jess to tell you the truth. So please talk to Reilly, he can't lose you as a friend. He loves you Kevin. He would never hurt you, you know that better than anybody here.' He doesn’t say anything. I continue.

'I know you're upset and you have every right to be but please don't do things you're going to regret later on. You’re about to be a father. There is nothing more exciting than that. Jess loves you. Trust me I know.'

'Thank you Emma. It means a lot. Can you tell Reilly to come out please?' He says as he gives me a hug.

'Of course'

I walk in and before sitting,

'He wants to talk to you Reilly.' He quickly gets up and walks outside. I can't really hear what they're talking about but they ended up hugging it out. That put a smile on my face. I turn towards Jess.

'I'm glad we can put this behind us for Kevin's sake. This little lie isn't even close to the ugly truth and you got off easy. I only did this for the baby and Kevin, not for you. You don't realize that when people start shit, other people get affected too. Reilly was the victim in this situation and it could have cost him his best friend for no reason whatsoever. Now please just go back home and stay the hell out of me and Reilly's life. Got it?'

'I will I promise. Thank you.' I give one nod and look at my cup. A second later the boys walk in and we head out.

'I'm sorry Kev' Jess says as they hug and walk towards the car hand in hand. I'm walking behind them with Reilly.

'Come here' Reilly says as pulls me closer to him, cups my cheeks and gives me a kiss, leaving me breathless.

'Thank you for everything. He told me what you said. This could have ended badly but you didn't allow that to happen. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this.'

'I know babe, I know' as I put my arm around his waist. 'Now we can finally move on from this crazy drama. I'm exhausted.'

'I couldn't agree more' as he kisses my forehead.
