"Pres!" "Jesus!" I yelled turning around to see my best friend coming up from behind me with her young, yet adorable son.

"Easy Tiger!" She laughed lifting him up, walking faster towards me.

"You just scared me" I laughed.

"Presley" The photographer said looking down at his watch. I held my finger up to him as if to signal one minute,

"So, is this your big break or what?" Catherine asked rubbing her sons cheek s he smiled, glaring off in the distance. "Hope so" I said reaching out to take his small hand up in mine. "What is this for?" She asked doing a 360 to look around the studio. She turned back and smiled as if to say nice one. "Get this," I smiled building up anticipation for what I was about to say, "Ralph Lauren" "No way" She breathed smiling at me "Yes way" I smiled proudly, "You've been dreaming about this forever!" She said shaking with excitement. "I know!" I smiled.

"Presley?" The photographer said again " We really need to finish this shoot"

"Alright, I'll be right over" I sighed turning back to Catherine. "Lunch?"

"Of course!" She winked before reaching over to half hug me. "And what about little Alex, will he be there?" "What do you think Alex, should we catch up with Aunt Presie later?" He nodded enthusiastically causing Catherine and I to smile. "Well looks like the boss made up his mind!" She laughed.

"Presley!" The photographer yelled then tapping his wrist impatiently. "That's my cue" I said annoyed but smiling politely at Catherine. "We need to get going anyway, right?" she asked Alex smiling at him as he nodded.

Kids were never my thing. Never wanted them. But to just see the way Catherine looked at Alexander was completely fascinating to me. She always had a look of love, Something my parents never showed me. She looked as if she would do anything for him, die for him. My parents would never do so much as ask how I was, or if I was okay.

"Presley?" The photographer asked. "Hm?" I asked shaking myself out of my thoughts. I relaxed my shoulders. A good photo wasn't an uptight photo. "You seem a little out of it" The photographer explained. "I'm good" I smiled as my make up artist, Alicia, dabbed powder across my nose lightly.

"Fix her hair while you're at it" The photographer said to no one in general. Immediately, I felt two people playing with my hair, curling it, flipping it over my shoulder, trying to make it look "natural".

"Alright" The photographer smiled, "Lets wrap this up"

2 hours and about 400 pictures later, I was sitting by myself in a noisy cafe, waitresses bustling about, cooks yelling orders to each other. I sighed, pushing my hair up out of my face finally realizing how hot I was. I took my coat off, scolding myself for not taking it off before. I gently placed it on the back of the chair, trying not to bunch the table next to me. Theres another thing you can add to the list of bad things about this place: hot, loud, and stuffy.

"You will never believe this!" Catherine said sitting down, Alex in her lap, as she waved down a waitress to ask for a highchair.

"Hit me." I said breaking off a piece of bread that the waitress put on the table.

"I went to the florist, and they were al out of daisies! How can you possibly be out of daisies? I asked him about them last week, he told me there would be enough for the wedding and now they're out of them?" She said angrily as Alex pulled gently at the tablecloth until the waitress brought over the highchair. Catherine gently put him in as the waitress took both of our orders, Catherine's a garden salad, and mine a chicken ceaser salad.

"Just get the orchids, I thought they looked better anyway." I said casually shrugging my shoulders as I looked out the window at the people passing by. It amazed me how each person had their each individual style. Some casual; just sweatpants and a t-shirt. Some dressy; probably rushing to get back to work after a late lunch. And of course you have the usuals... sports fans. With all of their obnoxious t-shirts and baseball caps. Each one worse than the next.

"The orchids?" Catherine laughed, making me realize almost immediately that I probably just made one of the biggest mistakes. Catherine was bridezilla when it came to wedding planning. "The orchids looked disgusting, they're way to overdone and cliche"

"Got it," I said even though i couldn't care less about what flowers should line the aisle. All the details were mind baffling to me. They have to be small enough that her dress won't bump them all and knock them out of line, yet big enough that you can tell that they're real flowers, not fake ones. "Orchids equal bad" I laughed as she stared me down.

"What am I supposed to do? I can not get married without daisies." Catherine sighed, leaning back in the chair pressing her palms to her forehead. I had always envied Catherine, her hair always fell perfectly, no matter what she ate she was still skinny, and she always had the best boyfriends. Kris being one of them. There was always one thing about her that I never envied: She got so stressed over the simplest things.

"What are you going to tell Kris?" I faked surprise to just play along with her. " I didnt think of that" She sighed reaching over to take away the fork Alex had grabbed off the table."Well that's kind of important" I laughed knowing that in an hour or two, she would be over all of this and just go with the orchids. "I'll just tell him the whole story. No. Daisies" she said leaning forward to pick up her glass of water. I nodded, not really wanting to get involved in this mess anyway.

"So what's going on with you and Ralph Lauren?" She smiled at me the straw still inbetween her teeth.

"Oh its not a big deal," I laughed, "They just had me sign a four year contract." I squealed like a 4th grade girl earning me dirty looks from many of the people in the cafe, mostly those typing away on their computers. "No way!" She said leaning up as Alex screamed happily at nothing in particular. She reached her hand over gently which caused him to quite almost immediately as he took interest in the color of her nail polish. "Yes way!" I smiled. "That's amazing!" She said genuinely. "Hopefully it all goes well." I laughed at her as the waitress gently set our plates in front of us.

"So what's the next step?" She asked looking up at me as she picked at her salad. "What do you mean?" I asked confused. "In your life, next step?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "I didn't think of that" I said trailing off as I looked down at the small green leafs on a plate, questioning why I even ordered this in the first place.

"Boyfriend? Fiancee? Husband?" She bugged as I continued to look down. "No, No, and NO" I laughed, not wanting to even think about having a boyfriend. "I could totally set you up! Just like old times!" She said happily. "You mean when you used to bring your boyfriends ugly friends that would be creepy and perverted?" I asked setting my fork down on the side of the plate. "What do you expect? Theyre guys!" She laughed.

"The only guy that isnt creepy and perverted is my little Alex" She said gently touching one of his chubby little cheeks. "yet" I tried to say seriously as she looked up and gasped at my comment. "Don't you dare" She said through gritted teeth. "No! He will always be cute and innocent." I laughed reaching over to him. His small hand grabbing onto my thumb.
