Dear Diary,
The Penguins did not win their next game, which was Friday against the Islanders, or their game Saturday against Toronto. They won’t be back until after their game against the Hurricanes on Monday.
When I told Caeleigh about what happened when I told Sid I wasn’t having my period, she flipped out at me.
“You can’t tell a guy that!” She yelled, “Men only think of one thing when you say you’re not having your period.”
“Oh my God I’m not pregnant,” I said rolling my eyes at her, “It’s just this medicine.”
“Prove it.” She replied sternly.
“What?” Was she serious?
“We’re going to the drugstore so you can buy a pregnancy test.” Yup, she was serious.
“Caeleigh this isn’t necessary, my doctor said this could happen,” I explained, really not wanting to leave (I was already in my pajamas)
“I don’t care, but Sid needs to know.” She said grabbing my hand.
She was right, I probably scared him a lot, the least I could do was pee on a stick and make sure that everything was okay.
“Drink this,” Caeleigh said handing me a water bottle as we left.
I wore a hat, and put the hood of my sweatshirt up, so no one would see me buying a pregnancy test. It was one of the more embarrassing things I’ve had to do.
When we got back to Sid’s house Caeleigh waited outside of the bathroom for me. She wanted to come in with me, but I told her I could handle it myself. (Although it was more difficult than I thought it would be)
All three tests came back negative (like I knew they would) and Caeleigh told me I should take a picture and send it to Sid.
“Really?” I asked, not wanting to.
“Yes, he needs confirmation,” she replied.
I took a picture of the three tests lined up on his marble bathroom countertop.
I sent the picture to him with the text, “Caeleigh made me do this to prove I’m not pregnant”
*That would have been nice to know before we lost two games* he replied.
*Sid, you didn’t lose because of this. Besides I thought you played well*
*Whatever, we’ll talk when I get home*
Why was he being like this?
The Pens beat the Canes 3-1 tonight, so I guess Sid might have been right.
Ugh, I hate it when he’s right, I’m going to bed, wake me up when he gets home tonight.
Sincerely,
Emme

Dear Diary,
I was more than happy to see Sid when he returned from the airport at 3:30 AM.
He was not as enthusiastic about seeing me. I tried (very persuasively) to convince him to sleep with me, but he wasn’t having it.
“Not right now, I’m tired,” he said for the last time and rolled over to go to sleep.
The next morning I made him pancakes and he apologized and we had sex.
It was everything I thought it would be.
Caeleigh and I got our nails done with the wags (I now have little 87s on my nails).
Brandon’s girlfriend is here for a few days. I promised him I wouldn’t visit.
The Pens played the Bruins yesterday. Kate decided we were going to have a Disney themed night (because of Halloween) and I wanted to be Belle. Caeleigh and I skated to ‘Tale as old as Time’ from Beauty and the Beast during first intermission. It was very cute, except as we were getting dressed she realized that if I was Belle then she was the beast. I reminded her that the beast turns into a handsome prince at the end, but she didn’t like that either.
Brandon thought I looked cute. “Belle is probably my favorite Disney princess,” he said giving me a hug.
Sid, however, didn’t like that I was wearing yellow. “But that’s what Belle where’s in the movie,” I protested.
“Yes, but it’s also the Bruins color,” He said.
Before the game I walked up to the box where most of the wags watched the games to find Brandon’s girlfriend. By the time I got there I realized I had no idea what I was going to say to her. She doesn’t even know that Brandon and I are friends.
She was sitting alone, and I walked past Mrs. Flower (who was still giving me looks) and Mrs. Duper (who was a bit nicer) and sat down next to her.
“Hi, I’m Emme, Sid’s girlfriend,” I said. “I’m also one of the ice girls.”
She turned to me, “I know who you are,” (uh oh) “I’m Marie, nice to meet you.”
She smiled and I realized she didn’t know about Brandon and I, or she didn’t care, and I gave her a hug before I left. She seemed really nice and I felt bad about sleeping with her boyfriend. She also didn’t seem like she was the kind of girl to suggest an open relationship. Has Brandon been lying to me?
After the game I teased Sid about me wearing yellow, “You still won despite my yellow dress.”
“Barely, it was pretty close at the end.” He said giving me a kiss, “Now get up stairs, I’ll be right up.”

I’m about to go out in a few hours for Halloween with Caeleigh and a few other girls. It should be fun, I’m going as a cat this year. (I think I did last year too)
I’m starting to think that my doctor told me I couldn’t drink much with my new medicine so I would stop drinking so much.
I can’t stop thinking about how nice Marie was, and I really wish I could ask her about her situation with Brandon without her knowing that he and I were sleeping together.
Maybe I’ll see her before Friday’s game. I really have no idea what I would say to her.
Happy Halloween!
Emme
PS. Is it really almost November already?
Wow.
