Chapter 6

Two weeks later, Antti and his father were eating dinner together quietly.
"Antti, today your report card is suppose to come," Mr. Niemi says, breaking the silence. "Do you have it?"
"Uhhh..." Antti looked down at his plate than back up with a worried look on his face. "Yea..."
"May I...see it?"
Antti slowly slid down from his chair and ambled to his backpack. He took out his report out and gave it over to his father shakily.
Mr. Niemi scanned over the paper with shock. "Antti...wh-what happened?"
Antti just stared at his father with huge eyes. "I-I..." Then he took off to his room, leaving a trail of water behind.
Mr. Niemi threw the paper in frustration to the other side of the table, but it didn't go that far. "I know what to do..." Then he heard the rushing of water from the hallway.
With a sigh, he got up and walked over to Antti's door, where water was seeping out from beneath the door. "Antti? What the heck are you doing?" There was no response. "Antti, answer me, please."
On the other side of the door, Antti's room was all underwater with Antti curled up in a little ball tucked in an corner.
"Antti?" His father crossed his arms, but then leapt when he felt the water soaking his socks. "Ugh!!! Antti Niemi! Open the door! Now!"
"Ei!" Antti squeaked. (No!)
"We can make this work out! Don't do this! You're gonna flood the whole house."
"I don't care."
Mr. Niemi smacked his forehead. "Oh course you don't care! If the house is underwater, then you'll be perfectly fine! Antti, listen to me, please. Let me take you somewhere else."
"Somewhere else?" Antti made a confused look. He subsided the water and opened the door. "Where are you taking me?"
Mr. Niemi took in a deep breath and cleared his throat. "Follow me."
He took his son down the hallway, through another empty room, then down a dim, yet clean staircase. The bottom of the stairs was a door.
Mr. Niemi opened the door.
On the other side was huge room made out of stone. There was a bed, a closet, a desk, and a narrow window across the door that was behind the desk. Casted in the corner was a black, shiny piano.
"Whoa..." Antti walked into the room with awe. "I never knew we had this room in our house." He turned around to face his father; Mr. Niemi was on the other side with his hand on the knob. Antti knitted his eyebrows with worry. "Dad?"
And like that, he closed the door on his son and walked off.
"DAD!!!" Antti ran to the door and started banging on it with his fists. "Dad, Dad, open the door!" He tried to reach for the handle, but it was too high for him. "Daddy, please open the door! Don't lock me up, kiitos!!!" Tears began to stream down his cheeks while a puddle of water began to form behind his shoes. "Ei..." (...please!!!; No...)
So his father locked him up in a room for a reason Antti never knew of. He was not allowed to go out of the house, with the exception of going to school.
To entertain himself besides flooding his room (which didn't leak out of the room), he would play the piano and sing. Other times, he would pretend being a hockey goalie.
But besides that, this is a song he would sing on the piano:
"When I try to do something right,
I always fail, got to try again.
When I try to be who I need to,
I always give up, so easily.
I am small, yet powerful,
I can do things no one can think of,
But I wonder if there is more to me..."
