Hello Again

The Wedding pt. 2

It’s game time. All of these months of work and getting everything organized and ready. It’s here! It’s finally time for Jamie to get married to Brad. All of us lined up as we got ready to go down the aisle in front of their family and friends and stand before them on their wedding day. The groomsmen came into the back where we were all waiting after they finished escorting everyone to their seats like the gentlemen that they are. “Who is shitting bricks!?” Tyler Browns yelled out. We all chuckled and focused on what was going to happen. “Everyone, I’ll tell you when to go, just smile and don’t fall!” I smiled, warning everyone, taking my place next to Tyler. Even in my heals he was much taller than me.

Brad and his mom walked up the aisle first. Mrs. Marchand had a beaming smile on her face with tears in her eyes, thrilled that her second son is getting married. It was quite touching to see. First up after Brad and his mother was Mackenzie and Brandon. You could tell that Brandon was a nervous wreck, he was literally sweating buckets the second he made it outside. Mack was calm and trying not to fall, since she is the clumsiest of us all. Following them was Natalie and Tyler Brown. Nat was an emotional wreck and you could tell Tyler was making jokes the whole time down the aisle to make her not bawl her eyes out in front of all of those people.

Jason and Sarah were next and they seemed like they were completely comfortable. Everyone was making “woo’s” and cheering while they walked down or making jokes. Everyone knew that they were married and Brad’s friends and family loved to make that known, since they were the first of that generation to get married. “You nervous?” Tyler asked me as I waited for my que. “No, you?” “Nope. Let’s do this,” he said offering me his arm. I gladly accepted it and had a glowing smile on my face. We started to walk down slowly down the long aisle. We were smiling from ear to ear and having a lovely conversation the whole time.

“Thank you for doing this with me after everything we’ve been through, it means a lot,” he said. “Oh no problem, I thank you for everything too. You made this a lot more easier.” And harder at the same time. “And we did it all for our friends.” “Exactly.” “Just wait till they have kids.” “Can we get the wedding over with first then talk about kids?” “You know you can’t wait for it. You can’t even wait for your own wedding.” “How do you know that?” “I could see it the whole time we were doing this planning stuff. Don’t worry, your time will come,” he smiled at the end of the aisle. He kissed my cheek like every other groomsmen did to their bridesmaids.

Ava came waddling down the aisle carrying a huge sign that said, “you can kiss her soon!” which was adorable. The whole time Brad couldn’t help but laugh at his niece run near the end to go see him after we all had to yell for her to go see him. He knelt down and gave her a kiss saying, “thank you princess.” Of course all of us bridesmaids couldn’t help but swoon over how adorable that was. What was even more precious was when Jamie and her dad walked out. His jaw dropped when he saw her in her ball gown and veil. All he managed to say was, “wow.” As the boys patted him on the back and swooned with him. She looked up at him with tears streaming down her cheeks and a smile so big that I’ve never seen it on her before. They were so happy and in love and they deserved nothing more than that.

Her dad had tears in his eyes saying goodbye to his baby girl. “I’m so proud of you,” he whispered loud enough for us to hear. I looked over at Nat and she was on her third tissue. She stashed a tiny packet in with her bouquet. We chuckled and I took her flowers, giving her a hug. Now I really couldn’t stop crying. You know when things in your life aren’t going the greatest and you see how amazing your friends is, and you couldn’t be any more happy for them? And by happy I mean beyond thrilled? That’s how I feel in this moment. There is a girl who I couldn’t be happier for and there is a man who I can’t be happier for her to be with.

The whole ceremony I couldn’t help but look over at Tyler. He looked so damn good and I couldn’t wait to take pictures with him later to say I got to stand next to him in them. That’s how hot he looked. I caught him glancing over at me and everytime we made eye contact we smiled and put our attention back to what was going on before us. Their vows were so sweet and romantic, especially when Brad broke down in tears. I know that he’ll get chirped for that one later on by the boys but I know they’ll all be the same one day.

“Jamie, do you take Bradley to be your husband?” the priest asked. “Oh I do!” she replied, causing laughter from everybody. “Bradley, do you take-“ “Can I just kiss her already?” he cut him off, with a huge smile on his face. We all knew that it was driving him crazy not being able to kiss her or do anything else and we know tonight is gonna be one steamy night for them. It’s as if we know we’re gonna hear them from miles away. “Under the power by me, I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the priest just stood back and put his arm out, giving him the signal to kiss her. Brad leaped forward right as he said “wife” and kissed her in a very steamy kiss. We all cheered and laughed, knowing that was so something he’d do.

He scooped up and carried her down the aisle, and Tyler and I were soon to follow. The energy was so high and we were having a blast. Now to take some pictures and have the reception. One part of the wedding done, now the rest to go.
