Hello Again

The Wedding Pt. 3 *The End*

For 3 hours we did every single different photo combination imaginable. It felt kind of cool being able to do this and I felt like a model, especially when I had such great arm candy like Tyler. I honestly couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. And apparently he couldn’t keep his eyes off of me. I caught him every so often and I couldn’t help but blush.

After we took some pictures it was time to mingle at cocktail hour. We lost the bride and groom and each other so I just socialized with Jamie’s friends and family that I knew and had some fun with it. I noticed Tyler mingling with the team and some new faces, such as Brad’s cousins and friends from back home. At one point I noticed Tyler talking to Kelsey, Jamie’s cousin, and I got a little nervous. I know we aren’t anything but I don’t like seeing him that way, especially because things have been going good for him lately and he’s kept it in his pants.

“Time to go do the receiving line,” Nat said, walking up next to me and dragging me along with her. Tyler was so cute and even walked me up to the door and took his place next to me. He was kind and friendly to everyone that was there and he played the role well. Such a gentleman and so sweet to all of the old ladies. Brad’s grandma who came down always thought he was a handsome young man and even pinched his cheeks when she saw him. I just laughed at him, causing him to laugh back and roll his eyes.

Once everyone was seated and it was time for our grand entrance, we knew it was time to have some fun. By the time it got to Tyler and I’d grand entrance we decided to have a blast with it and boy did we. We walked out to ‘Save A Horse Rid A Cowboy’ and boy did I have fun with it. We did a little jig and at one point during the funkiest part he picked me up and I straddled him while I flung my arm around in the air and sung along. We grinded a little bit and I’m not gonna lie, I totally enjoyed it. Everyone laughed at us and Brad’s brother yelled over, “you’re worst than the bride and groom!” Tyler just laughed and winked. We had our moments where we could be in the past.

During dinner we did our speeches. Jamie’s dad started them off, along with Brad’s family. When it was time for mine, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to contain myself and that I’d bawl my eyes out. “Hey everyone, I’m Kylie. It has been an honor knowing Jamie for as long as I have. We have been best friends for years and I don’t know what I would have done without you. You have been there for me through everything from bad grades, heartbreaks, injuries and our personal favourite, drunken nights. Yeah, we’ve had a little bit too many of those. Funny thing is, we’ve planned our weddings from the time we were little girls and never in our lives would I have ever thought that she had met her husband on what was supposed to be a girls weekend, and one of those drunken ones,” I said, causing laughs from the crowd.

“For those who don’t know, Brad and Jamie met in Wasaga when we both got booked into the same cottage. We were all thrilled to have a weekend where we could go crazy and have some fun. We were admiring the house and then we caught her admiring this big guy over here. As her best friend I knew she liked him off the bat and by the end of that weekend it was clear to me that he wasn’t just a weeklong fling. He meant something to her. They’ve dealt with a lot including distance, work schedule’s and so many more things that we’d be here forever talking about it. But Brad, he treats her right and I’m so glad that he’s the one who she’s marrying. I mean, we can’t do anything about it now. Brad, she’s my sister and you know that if you break her heart, I break your face. And since she’s like my sister, that now makes you a brother. Welcome to the family,” I cheered.

“Jamie, thank you for always being there and I’m glad to have been a part of this special day with you. You’re my best friend and I’m beyond happy for you. Words can’t even begin to describe how happy I am for you. You’re amazing and you’re husband is so amazing and I can’t wait to be there for you in the future. I’m thankful for your friendship after all of these years and I’m thankful for that week in Wasaga.” Everyone cheered and it was so cute to see everyone’s reactions. Jamie was bawling and she came up to me and hugged me so tightly. “Thank you so much, I love you!” “I love you too!” I hugged Brad and said, “I mean it, you break her heart I rip your dick off and you’ll never be able to fuck anything again.” “I understand,” he chuckled.

After dessert everyone got up on the dancefloor and let loose. I saw Tyler dancing with Kelsey and it broke my heart. They looked like they were having fun. I was having a blast until I saw it, then I had to take a breather. Things just don’t seem to change do they? Yeah, I probably look miserable, and I shouldn’t on my best friends wedding day but I just need a moment to myself. I sat at my seat at the head table and just looked off into the distance. This wasn’t helping me at all.

I stood up and walked over to the balcony that lead outside. It was a bit cold but it was gorgeous. The whole balcony was empty so it was even better. There was twinkley lights wrapping around the banister and there was a gorgeous view of a starry sky. The sound from inside was faint, like the sound of the cool breeze. I can’t believe all of this is over. I can’t believe that all of this hard work paid off. I can’t believe this is more than likely my last time truly hanging out with Tyler. I know I won’t really see him after this, unless I’m visiting Jamie or they have a get together and we are both invited. This makes me sad in a way. Just when things got better, this has to happen.

I was lost in my sad thoughts when I heard a quiet, “isn’t it a little cold to be out here in the cold? Especially wearing a dress?” I turned, partially scared shitless, to see Tyler standing there with his hands in his suit pockets. He looked so handsome, as usual. “I just needed some fresh air,” I replied, turning my head back to look out at the view. He took a few more steps and looked out at the stars with me.

“Isn’t this just beautiful? Looking up at the stars and just taking in your surroundings?” he asked. “Yeah, it's so peaceful here.” “Doesn’t it remind you of Wasaga? The way we used to sit out on the balcony and stare at the stars for hours and talking about life?” “Yeah, that wasn’t long ago.” “It was a great sight. The stars looked so beautiful, and so did you. You looked so adorable in your little outfit, a peach shirt wasn’t it?” “You remember that?” “You'd be surprised what I remember,” he smirked back. I was getting butterflies during this conversation, despite trying to hide how happy I was on the inside.

“I know I haven’t told you this, but you look absolutely stunning tonight. I really mean it,” he choked out. He looked dead into my eyes when he said it. The butterflies in my stomach exploded out of my chest. I blushed like crazy and smiled. “Thank you so much, you look really handsome.” “I mean it Kylie. You look so beautiful tonight. Well, you always look beautiful but the dress and jewelry is gorgeous on you.” “Thanks,” I giggled. Why is he doing this to me? “Why did you come out here Ty?” “I couldn’t let a pretty girl spend the night outside. Plus, I wanted to know if you’d like to dance with me.” “I would love to,” I blushed. Damn you Seguin.

The song was slow and gorgeous and as we spun around the room everyone gave us looks of pure shock, or winks. Browns did a humping motion, earning a slap from Nat. We both just shook our heads and laughed. “Who would have ever thought we would be this civil after everything we’ve been through, to be dancing at our best friends wedding?” he asked. “I know, it’s hard to believe.”

It really is hard to believe that we are doing this. We’ve been either really good or really bad. When it’s good, it’s great but when it’s bad, it’s awful. I could never forget the memories we shared, nor do I want to. Some of the best times I had were with him. This moment was so beautiful and seemed so innocent that I almost forgot about our, even though it’s hard not to. Seeing the way he smiles when he looks at me, how he treats me and how well we go together, it makes me wonder if we could ever be back together again. We’ve been great lately but I can’t help but think of all of those times where he’s gone out with girls or broken my heart. Could I go through that again and would he have changed since then?

“Look at us dancing romantically,” he laughed. “I know, this is a first for us.” “We used to dance like we were about to have sex on the dance floor.” “Didn’t we try to do that one time?” I asked, making him laugh out loud. “Yeah we did, that did not work out though.” “Clearly not. It was worth a shot though,” I laughed. “I was thinking Kylie, and I know that now might not be the best of time to ask you this, but, would you like to go on a date with me?” I stood there in shock, and immediately gave him my answer.

~The end.~
