It’s the night before the wedding. Morgan is staying with James since her and Jordan can’t see each other till tomorrow. She finds James sitting outside looking out towards the lake.

Morgan - James? You ok?
James - I feel as if my heart has been ripped out of my chest and then stepped on.
Morgan - Don’t say that James.
James - I’m sorry I just feel empty now that I’ve lost you forever.
Morgan - (Wipes the tears from James’s eyes) Shh, don’t cry James. It’ll be ok.

Morgan wraps her arm around James. She can see he’s breaking right in front of her. She’s starting to have second thoughts about renewing her vows to Jordan if it’s going to hurt James.

James - Is there anything I can do to change your mind about renewing your vows tomorrow?
Morgan - If it’s going to hurt you this much maybe I shouldn’t.
James - You would change your mind for me?
Morgan - If re-marrying Jordan is going to hurt you I won’t do it. The last thing I want is to hurt you.
James - You would do that for me?
Morgan - Of course I would James. I love you and I don’t like seeing you heartbroken.
James - I know you can’t go see Jordan but can you go talk to him and tell him you’re having second thoughts about tomorrow?
Morgan - And it’s not even hurting you that is making me think twice about this. I think come tomorrow Jordan will no longer be a Penguin. If that happens I don’t want to move.
James - You would do that just for me?
Morgan - Of course I would. I don’t want to leave you behind. I love you so much James and I see us being together sooner rather then later.
James - I hope you’re right cuz I don’t want to lose you. I love you so much too.

James moves closer to Morgan and wraps his arm around her. They begin looking into each others eyes and begin to kiss under the moonlight. As they continue to kiss Morgan runs her fingers through James’s hair. James helps Morgan up. They go back inside and get ready for bed. Some time in the middle of the night James gets up and goes into the bedroom where Morgan is sleeping. He lays down beside her, wraps his arms around her, and goes back to sleep until the next morning. Morgan wakes up to see James sleeping next to her. She turns over so that she’s facing James.

Morgan - This is a nice surprise.
James - (Wakes up to see Morgan smiling at him) I’m sorry but I couldn’t sleep last night without you by my side.
Morgan - You have nothing to be sorry about.
James - I just wanted to spend a little more time with you before you re-marry Jordan.
Morgan - Aww, I have no problem with that.
James - I love you so much.
Morgan - I love you too James.
James - I guess we should be getting up so you can get ready but I don’t want to stop cuddling with you.
Morgan - Aww, I hate that this is hurting you this much.
James - I can just feel my heart breaking.
Morgan - It’ll be ok James.
James - As long as you’re happy I guess I should be happy for you.
Morgan - Aww, thank you.
James - We can still be friends right?
Morgan - Aww, of course we can James.

Morgan gets out of bed. She goes into bathroom to take a shower. She puts on her wedding dress and has James help with the zipper. She then does up her hair and makeup. James quickly gets ready too. He asks Morgan if she’s ready to go. James drives them to the church. The wedding ends and everyone is at the reception. Things are going well until Jordan gets a phone call saying he’s been traded to Carolina. Morgan breaks down and starts to cry. Jordan changes the subject and tells everyone the baby news. Like with James’s family Jordan’s family isn’t too thrilled about the news and starts yelling at Morgan. Jordan tells James to get Morgan out of there and take her to the lake house. James agrees and takes Morgan back to the lake house. Jordan continues fighting with his family until he gets mad and heads back to the lake house to join up with Morgan and James. Jordan finds Morgan laying on the bed crying while James tries to comfort her.

James - What are we going to do now?
Jordan - Morgan is going to stay with you until the babies are born in November.
Morgan - Really?
Jordan - Yes, so you can continue seeing your doctor in Pittsburgh. We’ll get through this. James will take good care of you.
James - That’s right Morgan. I will make sure nothing happens to you or the babies.
Morgan - You two are so great to me.
James - Babe, it’s cuz we both love you.
Morgan - I know you two love me and I love you guys too.
Jordan - (Sits on the bed next to Morgan and caresses her cheek) It’ll be ok honey. Will you be ok with James tonight?
Morgan - Where are you going?
Jordan - I’m going back to Pittsburgh and I guess start packing.
James - Don’t worry dude I’ll bring her home in the morning.
Jordan - Just take good care of her.

Jordan packs up his stuff and heads back to Pittsburgh. James and Morgan look at each other confused at Jordan’s odd behavior.

James - What the hell was that all about?
Morgan - I… I don’t know James.
James - He’s pushing us together.
Morgan - Do you really think so?
James - Why else would he leave and leave us alone like this?
Morgan - Never thought of that but it makes sense.
James - He loves you and wants you to be happy even if you and I end up being lovers.
Morgan - I know he does.
James - I’ll help you out of that dress so you can wear something more comfortable.
Morgan - You are so sweet.
James - I love you.
Morgan - I love you too.

James helps unzip Morgan’s dress. Morgan takes off her dress and goes into the bathroom to take a shower. James hears the water running and then decides to join Morgan. They begin looking into each others eyes and begin to kiss. The kissing continues when James starts kissing other parts of Morgan’s body. Morgan begins to moan lightly. They get out of the shower and go finish their love making on the bed. They then start cuddling for a little while.

James - I love you so much right now.
Morgan - I love you too.
James - (Places his hand on Morgan’s belly and smiles) That baby belly makes you look so beautiful.
Morgan - Do you really mean that James?
James - Of course I do. My heart flutters when I’m with you and when I’m not with you all I can think about is how much I love you. I need you in my life baby.
Morgan - Oh James I love you too and I need you too.
James - We’re meant to be together.
Morgan - I know we are.
James - Baby, the only time I see you smile is when you’re with me. So if you don’t want to move to Carolina with Jordan you can live with me.
Morgan - Really?
James - You bet baby. (Caresses Morgan’s cheek and runs his fingers through her hair)

They begin looking into each others eyes and begin to kiss.

Morgan - I love you so much James.
James - I love you too baby.
Morgan - Can we stay like this forever?
James - I would like that very much.
Morgan - James?
James - Yeah baby?
Morgan - I love you.
James - I love you too.

They begin to kiss. They continue to kiss until James starts kissing other parts of Morgan’s body. Morgan begins to moan lightly. The sex continues until Morgan orgasms. James gets off of her when she lays her head on his shoulder. James wraps his arm around Morgan while they cuddle. Morgan gets dressed and goes into the kitchen to make her and James dinner. James gets dressed, heads into the kitchen, and then sneaks up behind Morgan and wraps his arms around and kisses the back of her neck.

Morgan - (Sighs) You sure know how to make a girl happy.
James - I love you so much.
Morgan - I love you too James. Tonight was so wonderful.
James - It sure was. I never thought we could possibly end up together.
Morgan - Me either James but I’ve been wanting that since the day you told me that you love me.
James - Really? You want to be with me?
Morgan - Of course I do. I love you so much James and I want a life with you.
James - I want to be with you too.
Morgan - Lets eat honey.
James - Ok

James sets the table. Morgan dishes up their dinner for them. While they’re eating James takes a hold of Morgan’s hand and smiles. They finish eating, clean up the table, and then go back over to bed and start cuddling. Morgan sighs and then lays her head on James’s shoulder. James wraps his arm around Morgan. Morgan falls sleep minutes later. James cover them with the blanket that is on the bed and then goes to sleep till the next morning. Before anyone else is awake Morgan and James pack their things and head back to Pittsburgh. Later that afternoon they arrive back at home. They find Jordan has left to look for a place in Raleigh to live. Morgan tells James she is going to go take a nap. James tells her he’ll join her. They go upstairs and go lay down on James’s bed. They start cuddling. Morgan sighs and then lays her head on James’s shoulder. James wraps his arm around Morgan. Morgan falls sleep minutes later. James cover them with his blanket that is on the bed and then goes to sleep till later that night.

Morgan - James?
James - Yeah baby?
Morgan - I love you so much.
James - I love you too.
Morgan - (Smiles) The babies are kicking.
James - May I feel?
Morgan - (Grabs James’s hand and puts it on her belly) Pretty amazing isn’t it?
James - Wow, that is amazing.
Morgan - Did you ever think we’d be having a baby this soon?
James - (Smiles) No, I didn’t. Makes me love you even more.
Morgan - I love you too James. We should be thinking of names for our little boy.
James - Yes we should be.
Morgan - I don’t know if I ever told you this before but you have the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen. They’re such a pretty blue-green.
James - (Smiles) Thanks baby
Morgan - I mean it. I could stare into them for hours.
James - How about we stay like this the rest of the night?
Morgan - That would be ok with me.
James - Are you hungry at all baby?
Morgan - You could go get us something.
James - Ok, I won’t be gone long.
Morgan - Ok
James - I love you.
Morgan - I love you too.

James gives Morgan a kiss and then leaves to get them something to eat. Morgan sighs knowing her and James are so close to being together. A small tear rolls down her cheek cuz she knows she is madly in love with James. She then hears the doorbell ring. She gets up and answers the door. It’s her friend Leslie, who has been worried about Morgan since the news broke about Jordan being traded.

Leslie - Hey, I’ve been so worried about you. Are you ok?
Morgan - I’m perfectly fine.
Leslie - That’s surprising since Jordan was traded yesterday.
Morgan - The thing is it doesn’t bother me cuz I’m not moving down there right away.
Leslie - What? Why?
Morgan - Cuz Jordan wants me to stay behind till I have the babies. That’ll give him enough time to find a place for us to live.
Leslie - You should be with your husband right now instead of screwing around with a dirtbag like James.
Morgan - Jordan told me to stay here so I don’t have to change doctors. He wants me to have the babies here. He knows James will take good care of me till then.
Leslie - And then what? James won’t stay with you once you have these babies. He doesn’t really love you. He’ll leave you and then go then go find another puck bunny to have sex with.
Morgan - Aren’t you the one who told me to act on my feelings for James?
Leslie - Yes but I didn’t think you be dumb enough to actually do it.
Morgan - When will you just accept it that Jordan wants me to be with James?
Leslie - You’re pretty stupid if you think that he would allow you to cheat on him. How long till you get tired of James? His mother is right you are a slut.

Leslie slaps Morgan. Right on the same side that was already injured from when James’s mom slapped. This it knocks her out. Leslie leaves before James comes home. Few minutes later James comes home and finds Morgan laying on the floor. He sits down beside her and starts to cry. He cleans her up and rushes her to the hospital. The doctors take Morgan while James waits in the waiting room. He then calls Jordan.

James - You need to come home.
Jordan - Why? What’s wrong?
James - I’m at the hospital with Morgan.
Jordan - What’s wrong?
James - When I came home from getting something to eat for her and I she was passed out on the floor.
Jordan - Ok I’ll be home as fast as I can.
James - Ok
The guys hang up. James starts to cry again. He then starts praying. One of the nurses hears James and comes to see if he’s ok.
Nurse - You ok hon?
James - The pregnant woman that I came in with is my girlfriend and I’m just worried about her.
Nurse - I understand. Do you need anything?
James - No, I’m fine but thanks for asking.
Nurse - If you need anything just ask.

The nurse leaves and James tweets out that he’s at the hospital with Morgan and wants someone to come be with him. His best friend from the team, Evgeni Malkin, sees the tweet and comes to the hospital to be with James.

Geno - You ok lazy?
James - Just worried about the girlfriend.
Geno - Oh, you have girlfriend?
James - Yes, I do and I’m crazy about her.
Geno - Happy for you lazy.
James - Thanks G. At least I have one friend who’s happy I have a wonderful woman in my life.
Geno - Need anything?
James - No, I’m fine.
Geno - Ok

Just then the doctor comes in the waiting room to talk to James. He tells James that Morgan is going to be ok but she has a pretty bad concussion. James asks the doctor if the babies are ok. The doctor says the babies are just fine. The doctor tells James he can go in and see her if he wants to. James asks the doctor if she can lead him to her room. The doctor leads James to the room where Morgan is. James goes into the room and starts to cry seeing Morgan laying on the bed with an IV heading into her arm. The doctor leaves so James and Morgan can be alone. James sits in a chair near Morgan’s bed and takes a hold her hand and whispers to her.

James - Hey baby, I’m so glad you’re going to be ok. I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you. I would be so lost without you. I love you so much baby. (Leans forward to kiss Morgan as he runs his fingers through her hair)

Morgan then wakes up to see James sitting beside her.

Morgan - James? What’s going on?
James - You’re in the hospital baby.
Morgan - Ugh my head really hurts.
James - That’s cuz you have a concussion baby. Do you remember anything of what happened after I left?
Morgan - All I remember is Leslie came over and then I woke up here.
James - Just go back to sleep baby.
Morgan - Will you stay with me James?
James - Of course I will.
Morgan - I love you.
James - I love you too baby.
Morgan - Would love to cuddle with you.
James - (Smiles) Of course you can cuddle with me.

James lays down on Morgan’s bed next to her. Morgan snuggles up to James and goes right to sleep. James wraps his arm around her. Just then Jordan comes into the room.

Jordan - How’s she doing?
James - Her head hurts pretty bad. She’s got a concussion and doesn’t remember anything.
Jordan - Thank you for getting her to the hospital.
James - I love her as much as you do. I wouldn’t let anything happen to her.
Jordan - Which is why I want her to stay with you. I want her to be happy and she appears to be happy being with you.
James - So you’re saying her and I can be together?
Jordan - If that’s what you want then go for it.
James - Did you want to stay? I’m sure she’d like to see you.
Jordan - For a little while but she should rest.

Morgan then wakes up.

James - Sorry babe didn’t mean to wake you.
Morgan - It’s ok. Oh hey Jordan what are you doing here?
Jordan - As soon as James called me I had to come back to make sure you were ok.
Morgan - I’m so grateful to have you two look out for me.
James - Babe, we both love you and would be lost if something happened to you.
Jordan - James is right. We love you honey and will protect you. I will stop my search on looking for a place to live in Raleigh until you’re feeling better.

Just then Morgan starts trembling like she’s scared. She sees Leslie standing by the window.

James - Hey baby, what’s wrong?
Jordan - I think the sight of Leslie spooked her.
James - Get her to leave cuz it’s clearly upsetting Morgan.

Jordan goes outside the room to talk to Leslie.

Jordan - I know you’re Morgan’s best friend but you being here clearly has her upset.
Leslie - Why are you even here?
Jordan - Cuz James called me to tell me Morgan was in the hospital. I may have been traded but I still love my wife very much.
Leslie - You’re as stupid as she is. Can’t you see she wants James now?
Jordan - You do remember that James getting her pregnant was complete fluke?
Leslie - You shouldn’t have allowed her to have sex with him.
Jordan - I know it’s my fault for not loving her like I should have been but I forgave them for having a moment of weakness.
Leslie - Funny you say that cuz they’ve been doing it behind your back for months.
Jordan - Yes I know what’s been going on. James told me everything. They’re in love there’s no denying that and if she wants to be with James I’m not going to stop her from being happy. That’s all I want for her is to be happy.
Leslie - Fine I’ll leave and maybe one day I’ll forgive Morgan for acting the way she has been the past few months.

Leslie leaves in a huff. Jordan goes back into Morgan’s room and sits in the chair.

James - What was that all about?
Jordan - Leslie is acting strange. She has never lashed out at Morgan before.
Morgan - I remember what happened now. She slapped me after lashing out at me about being with you James.
James - What? She was the one who said you should hook up with me.
Morgan - She thinks you don’t really love me and that you’ll bail on me as soon as I have the babies.
James - I would never do that. Doesn’t she know how much I love you?
Morgan - (Starts to cry) She said you would leave me for the next hot puck bunny that comes around.
James - I would never date a puck bunny. You’re a lot of things but you aren’t a puck bunny. I’m not going to leave your side.
Jordan - I’m not going to leave your side either.
Morgan snuggles up to James and goes back to sleep.
James - You should go back to the house and get some sleep. I’ll stay with her.
Jordan - I’ll stay with her you go. You’ve been here all night.
James - Well ok. If she wakes up tell her I’ll be back in the morning.
Jordan - Of course I will.

James gets up, gives Morgan a kiss, and then goes home to get some sleep. Jordan then lays down beside Morgan and wraps his arm around her. He watches her sleep until he eventually falls asleep till the next morning. Morgan then wakes up to see Jordan sleeping next to her.

Morgan - (Smiles) Never thought we’d be cuddling like this again.
Jordan - (Wakes up to see Morgan smiling at him) I know you weren’t expecting it being me you were cuddling with but James went home to get some sleep.
Morgan - It’s ok sweetie. I’ve really missed you.
Jordan - I missed you too.
Morgan - I’m sorry for causing all of this.
Jordan - It’s ok honey. No one is going hurt you again.
Morgan - You promise?
Jordan - Of course I do. I told James if he wants to be with you he can.
Morgan - Really?
Jordan - If he makes you happy you should be with him.
Morgan - I just don’t want to hurt you.
Jordan - I know you don’t want to hurt me but honey you just seem to be happier when you’re around James. I just want you to be happy.
Morgan - I just wish people would stop calling me a slut.
Jordan - I know baby. It’s not right that you’re being treated like this.

Jordan gives Morgan a kiss. She falls asleep when James comes back.

James - How’s she feeling?
Jordan - She’s really tired.
James - I don’t think she should be in contact with Leslie for awhile.
Jordan - I agree
James - Why don’t you go back to house and get some sleep? I’ll stay with her.
Jordan - Good idea. I’ll be out later.
James - Ok, if she asks I’ll tell her you went to take a nap.
Jordan - Ok

Jordan leaves for home to get some sleep. James lays down beside Morgan and wraps his arm around her. She then wakes up when she gets a whiff of James’s scent.

Morgan - What a nice sight to wake up to.
James - I really missed you last night baby.
Morgan - I missed you too sweetie.
James - Just go back to sleep.
Morgan - As long as you stay with me.
James - Of course I will. I will never leave your side baby.
Morgan - I love you so much James.
James - (Runs his fingers through Morgan’s hair and gives her a kiss) I love you too baby.
Morgan - So do you think we’re together now?
James - I think we’re close to being a couple.
Morgan - I just never thought we’d fall this hard for each other.
James - Me either but I love spending time with you and I’m so grateful that you’re going to be ok.
Morgan - You were really worried about me weren’t you?
James - Of course I was. I was so scared I was going to lose you. I love you baby.
Morgan - Oh James I love you too.
James - Just go back to sleep baby. You can barely keep your eyes open.

Morgan goes back to sleep. James gives Morgan a kiss. He then sighs knowing he and Morgan are so close to being together. He falls asleep a few minutes later until later that night. Morgan’s doctor comes in the room to check on her. Morgan’s told she can go home in the morning. James sends Jordan a text telling him they’ll be home in the morning. It’s the next morning. James and Morgan head for home. When they get home James tells Morgan to go lay down and take a nap. She goes up stiars, goes up to her and Jordan’s bedroom, lays down on the bed, and goes to sleep. Jordan comes up stiars to check on Morgan. He goes into the bedroom and sees Morgan is sound asleep. He lays down beside her, wraps his arm around her, and goes to sleep. A couple months pass and it’s now the first part of September.
