Jordan has gone to undergo his yearly before season medical and physical testing. Missy wakes up in extreme pain. She tries to sleep it off but it’s no use. Leslie comes over to check on Missy and finds her in the fetal position crying in pain.

Leslie - Missy? What’s wrong hon?
Missy - I need to go to the hospital.
Leslie - Ok ok I’ll take you.
Missy - I think I’ve gone into labor.

Leslie picks up Missy’s bag and takes her to the hospital. Missy is put into a room. Leslie comes into the room to check on her.

Leslie - Hey, you ok hon?
Missy - I’ve never been in so much pain in my life.
Leslie - Did you want me to call Jordan?
Missy - Would you please?
Leslie - Sure

Leslie leaves the room to call Jordan and tells him that Missy is at the hospital in labor.

Missy - Did you get a hold of him?
Leslie - Sure did and he’ll be here as soon as he can.
Missy - Thank you
Leslie - You’re welcome, is there anything else I can do for you?
Missy - I don’t think so (winces in pain) I just need Jordan.
Leslie - Aww, don’t worry he’ll be here soon.
Missy - I hope so.
Leslie - Aww, don’t worry I think I hear him coming.

Just then Jordan walks into Missy’s room and sees her in pain. Leslie then leaves for home.

Missy - So glad you’re here.
Jordan - You ok honey?
Missy - I’m in so much pain.
Jordan - Anything I can do?
Missy - Just stay here with me.
Jordan - I think I can do that.
Missy - I love you so much.
Jordan - I love you too honey.
Missy - I want to snuggle with you so bad but I’ve been told I can’t till after the baby comes.
Jordan - It’s ok honey. I’ll try and comfort you as much as I can.
Missy - Can you go ask my doctor if she can give me something for my labor pain?
Jordan - Sure honey

Jordan leaves to find Missy’s doctor and tells her about Missy’s labor pain. Jordan and the doctor go back to Missy’s room. Missy’s doctor gives Missy an epidural shot to help relieve her pain. Missy falls asleep minutes later. Jordan goes over to the chair by Missy’s bed and holds her hand while she sleeps.

Missy - (Wakes up to see Jordan smiling at her) I love you Jordan.
Jordan - I love you too honey. You feeling better?
Missy - Yeah, a lot better.
Jordan - Good cuz I don’t like seeing you in so much pain.
Missy - Aww, you are so sweet.
Jordan - That’s cuz I love you so much
Missy - I love you too Jordan.
Jordan - Nice seeing you being able to sleep with no pain.
Missy - There’s something I’ve been wanting to show you.
Jordan - What’s that honey?

Missy lifts up her shirt revealing a tattoo that has Jordan’s name on it.

Missy - Well what do you think?
Jordan - Wow, that’s very sexy.
Missy - Glad you like it.
Jordan - I love you so much.
Missy - I love you too.
Jordan - Go back to sleep honey. You need your rest.
Missy - Only if you don’t leave my side.
Jordan - I wouldn’t dream of leaving you right now. I love you.
Missy - I love you too.

Missy goes back to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Missy wakes up and feels fluid
leaking from her. She wakes Jordan up.

Jordan - What’s wrong honey?
Missy - I think my water just broke.
Jordan - Uh, did you want me to find your doctor?
Missy - Would you please?

Jordan goes to track down Missy’s doctor. He finds Missy’s doctor and tells her that Missy’s water broke. They get back to Missy’s room and see she is further in labor. A couple hours pass and Missy delivers a healthy baby boy. She is sound asleep when Jordan comes back in her room. Jordan smiles and sits in the chair by her bed and holds her hand until morning.

Jordan - (Softly whispers) I love you
Missy - (Wakes up to see Jordan smiling at her) I love you too Jordan.
Jordan - You feeling ok baby?
Missy - Yeah, just really tired.
Jordan - Then go back to sleep honey.
Missy - Only if you stay here with me.
Jordan - I have to go to the arena for a little while but I’ll snuggle with you when I come back.
Missy - I like the sound of that. Oh and happy birthday sweetie.
Jordan - (Smiles) Thanks baby
Missy - You’re welcome

Jordan gives Missy a kiss and leaves for the arena. Just then Leslie shows up.

Leslie - Hey, how you feeling?
Missy - Fine other then I’m tired.
Leslie - Aww, didn’t sleep well last night?
Missy - No, I was up most of the night.
Leslie - Now that you say that your baby belly shrunk a bit.
Missy - (Smiles) Well it should be after pushing out a 7 lbs baby.
Leslie - Aww, so it did come on Jordan’s birthday.
Missy - Yes about 2 this morning.
Leslie - Aww, no wonder you’re tired. Where’s Jordan?
Missy - He went to the arena for awhile but promised we’d spend some time together before the season starts.
Leslie - Aww, he is so sweet to you.
Missy - Did you want to see the baby?
Leslie - Aww, sure

Missy takes Leslie down to the nursery to see her new son.

Missy - Isn’t he cute?
Leslie - Aww, he sure looks like Jordan.
Missy - He sure does.
Leslie - Any plans for anymore.
Missy - I don’t know maybe but not right now obviously.
Leslie - Marc wants to start trying some time soon.
Missy - Aww, that didn’t take long then.
Leslie - No it didn’t. Why don’t you go back to your room and take a nap? You look exhausted.
Missy - Sounds like a good idea.
Leslie - I’ll be out later to visit you.
Missy - Can you stop by my apartment and bring out the gift bag sitting on the table? Its Jordan’s birthday present.
Leslie - I can do that and I’ll bring out the baby gift that you never got to open.

Leslie leaves while Missy goes back to her room to take a nap. She gets into her bed and goes to sleep. Jordan comes back and gets into Missy’s bed with her. He wraps his arms around Missy holding her close. Missy wakes up to see Jordan sleeping next to her.

Missy - Now this is a nice surprise.
Jordan - See I told you I would snuggle with you when I came back.
Missy - I sure missed this.
Jordan - Me too baby.
Missy - I love you.
Jordan - I love you too.
Missy - I hope I can go home soon.
Jordan - So do I that bed is kind of empty without you.
Missy - Aww. That’s really sweet.
Jordan - I meant it baby.

Jordan gives Missy a kiss. He sees Missy has gone back to sleep. He whispers ‘I love you’ in
her ear. He goes to sleep minutes later till later that night.

Missy - Jordan?
Jordan - Yeah honey?
Missy - Thank you for taking care of me.
Jordan - You’re welcome honey.
Missy - I love you.
Jordan - I love you too baby.
Missy - You should go try and sleep at home.
Jordan - I know I should but I don’t want to leave your side.
Missy - Aww, I know you don’t but you need to sleep too honey. I would hate for you to get sick.
Jordan - Maybe you’re right.
Missy - I know I’m right. Go home and get some sleep. I’m not going anywhere.
Jordan - Ok I’ll be back in the morning.
Missy - I love you.
Jordan - Love you too baby.

Jordan leaves just as Leslie comes in the room.

Leslie - Aww, I guess I just missed him.
Missy - Yeah, I sent him home to get some sleep.
Leslie - Aww, hasn’t he been sleeping that well?
Missy - Not really and I would hate for him to get sick right before training camp.
Leslie - Aww, he loves you and didn’t want to leave your side.
Missy - I know he does and I appreciate everything he’s done for me.
Leslie - Aww, I know you do.
Missy - Did you remember to bring the gifts.
Leslie - Sure did where did you want me to put them?
Missy - You can put them on the table.
Leslie - I’m going to go so you can get some sleep.
Missy - See you in the morning
Leslie - Ok

Leslie leaves minutes later Missy is sound asleep. Some time in the middle of the night Jordan sneaks into her room. He gets into Missy’s bed with her, wraps his arms around her, and goes back to sleep till morning.

Missy - (Wakes up to see Jordan laying next to her sound asleep) Jordan? Honey? What are you doing here?
Jordan - I had to come back. I couldn’t sleep without you by my side.
Missy - Aww, that’s really sweet.
Jordan - I love you so much.
Missy - I love you too.
Jordan - You are so beautiful.
Missy - Aww, do you really mean that?
Jordan - You bet I do.
Missy - I meant to give you this yesterday (Hands Jordan his birthday present)
Jordan - (Smiles) You didn’t need to get me anything. You’ve already given me everything I’ve ever wanted.
Missy - Aww, that’s really sweet.
Jordan - I meant it baby. You’ve given me the love I never thought I’d find and given me a beautiful son. I love you so much and nothing will ever change how I feel about you.
Missy - Aww, I love you too Jordan.
Jordan - I have to go to my first day of camp. Do you need anything from home?
Missy - You could bring me out some clothes.
Jordan - Anything else you need?
Missy - You could get me some PowerAde. My stomach is in severe knots.
Jordan - Sure baby I would be glad to. You should take a nap while I’m gone.
Missy - Sounds like a good idea.
Jordan - I love you and I’ll be back as soon as I’m done.

Jordan smiles as he sees Missy is already asleep. He gives her a kiss and then covers her up with the blanket. He leaves for most for the morning and part of the afternoon while he’s at training camp. Jordan comes back and finds Missy still asleep. He gets into Missy‘s bed, wraps his arms around her, and goes to sleep.

Missy - (Wakes up to see Jordan sleeping next to her) I love you Jordan.
Jordan - (Wakes up to see Missy smiling at him) I love you too honey.
Missy - Where’d these flowers and chocolate come from.
Jordan - (Smiles) I got them for you.
Missy - You didn’t need to do that.
Jordan - I know but I wanted to.
Missy - You are so good to me.
Jordan - That’s cuz I love you honey.
Missy - I know you do and I love you too.
Jordan - Any idea when you get to go home?
Missy - In a few days I hope. I really want to sleep in our bed.
Jordan - I know you do. Here this is for you. (Hands Missy a huge plush Simba)
Missy - Aww, honey, how’d you know I like Lion King?
Jordan - Just a lucky guess. (Smiles)
Missy - Thank you baby
Jordan - You’re welcome.
Missy - I love you.
Jordan - I love you too. Just go back to sleep.
Missy - As long as you stay here with me.
Jordan - You bet I will honey.
Missy - Thank you for taking care of me.
Jordan - I would do anything for you.
Missy - I know that and that’s why I love you Jordan.
Jordan - I love you too baby.

Jordan gives Missy a kiss. He sees Missy has gone back to sleep. He whispers ‘I love you’ in her ear. He goes to sleep minutes later till later that night.

Missy - Jordan?
Jordan - Yeah baby?
Missy - I’m really hungry.
Jordan - I can go get us something.
Missy - That sounds fine.
Jordan - I’ll be back soon.
Missy - I’ll be waiting for you.

Jordan gives Missy a kiss and then leaves to find them something to eat. Missy falls asleep until Jordan comes back a short time later.

Jordan - (Gets into Missy’s bed with her and softly whispers in her ear) I’m back honey.
Missy - (Wakes to see Jordan laying next to her) Sorry for falling asleep.
Jordan - It’s ok baby.
They eat dinner and then start snuggling.
Missy - Jordan?
Jordan - Yeah baby?
Missy - I love you so much.
Jordan - I love you too baby.
Missy - You’re going to stay with me right?
Jordan - If you want me to I will.
Missy - Of course I do.
Jordan - Go to sleep honey you can barely keep your eyes open.

Jordan gives Missy a kiss. He sees Missy has gone back to sleep. He whispers ‘I love you’ in her ear. He goes to sleep minutes later till later that morning.

Missy - Jordan?
Jordan - Yeah honey?
Missy - Thank you for taking care of me.
Jordan - You’re welcome honey.
Missy - I love you.
Jordan - I love you too baby.
Missy - Wish you didn’t have to leave for practice.
Jordan - Me too cuz I don’t want to let go of you.
Missy - Aww, I don’t want you too either.
Jordan - We can snuggle some more when I come back.
Missy - I like the sound of that.
Jordan - Love you baby.
Missy - Love you too Jordie bear.
Jordan - Why don’t you go back to sleep. I’ll bring you back something to make you feel a little better.

Jordan gives Missy a kiss and then leaves for practice. Missy goes back to sleep for a couple hours until Leslie comes to visit her.

Leslie - Strange to see you by yourself.
Missy - Jordan had practice this morning.
Leslie - Aww, I hope he isn’t gone long.
Missy - Me too and thank you for looking after Something during part of my pregnancy.
Leslie - No problem, what are you going to do with the foal?
Missy - I don’t know. I’ll figure that out once she foals in January.
Leslie - I know you’ll do what’s best for Something and her foal.
Missy - I didn’t plan on breeding her till she was an older mare. I wanted her to have a long racing career.
Leslie - I take it she’s not racing anymore.
Missy - That’s correct she’s been retired.
Leslie - Sad we won’t be seeing you at the track anymore.
Missy - Maybe I’ll try my hand at Thoroughbreds.
Leslie - Oh wow Missy. That would be wonderful if you were the one to break the Triple Crown drought.
Missy - There’s a 2 yr old in training sale at Keeneland in April. Lets go down and have a look.
Leslie - That would be great. I’m going to go so you can rest.
Missy - Ok, I’ll talk to you later.

Leslie leaves when Missy goes back to sleep. Jordan comes back and sees that Missy is sound asleep. Jordan lays down beside Missy. He wraps his arms around her and goes right to sleep till later that night. Jordan wakes up and starts nuzzling and kissing Missy’s neck until she wakes up. She turns her head so that she can kiss Jordan.

Jordan - I love you baby.
Missy - I love you too.
Jordan - We should be thinking of a name for our little boy.
Missy - I know we should be.
Jordan - I have a couple ideas.
Missy - Ok, what are they?
Jordan - What about Alexander James or Joshua James.
Missy - I like Alexander James then we can call him AJ for short.
Jordan - I like that a lot.
Missy - Then that’s what his name will be.
Jordan - I’ll go deal with the birth certificate and then go get us something to eat.
Missy - Ok

Jordan gives Missy a kiss. He then leaves to deal with AJ’s birth certificate and then to get him and Missy something to eat. A little while later he returns. They eat and then Missy snuggles up to Jordan and goes right to sleep. Jordan wraps his arm around Missy and then goes to sleep until the next morning. A couple days pass. Missy and AJ are allowed to go home. Just in time for the Penguins up coming hockey season.
