Five Minutes For Fighting (Completed)

Caroline laughed as she pressed open the gate, letting John Tortorella in their house closing the gate after him. "Why is Coach here? Can anyone answer that?" Brian Boyle said as they all looked through the Curtained Windows out at him in a Pea Coat and nice dress pants helping his wife Christine get out of the car as the Snow kept heaving down on them. Caroline opened the door and closed it quickly, the December snow freezing breeze coming into the house. "Hey guys." Torts said as he shook off the snow. "Coach we love ya but what are you doing here?" Ryan Callahan said quickly regretting it. "We couldn't make it back to Massachusetts so we decided to come here, Drury said you guys were here and it's bad out." Torts said in response looking freezing and angry that Ryan would even ask. "Ok." They all said in unison Torts had them all whipped. "It's nice to see you again John, Christine." Cari said with a smile on her face hugging them both. "We are about to have dessert and watch Miracle. Let me make you guys a pot of coffee, you need it it's freezing out there." She said disappearing into the Kitchen as everyone made their way to the Dining room for Dessert. The Thomas's took desserts very seriously with 5 different types of Pies including Chocolate pudding, peach cobbler, apple, blueberry and Apple Crumb. They had two different Cakes one Strawberry Shortcake and one Chocolate and a variation of Fruit tarts. "Wow Mrs. T you went all out." Mac said making sure his plate had a slice of every pie and a slice of Fruit tart. "Well thank you Mac." She said coming in with a pot of coffee, and a jug of milk in her hands.

"Yeah Mom it's amazing." Brendan said already feeling himself get fat as they talked. "Don't eat too much, we have a game against Vancouver in a couple days I need you all to be fresh." Torts said taking a bite of the Fruit Tart. "Haha guys have fun with that." Caroline laughed as she put a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream on her slice of Chocolate Pudding pie. "Yeah well you have to watch yourself young lady you have the Sound tigers in a few days." Her dad said giving her a glare. She stopped herself in her tracks and quietly ate without talking much. "Boys most of the guest rooms have been added with one or two air beds, with sheets and blankets make yourselves at home. Ryan and Derek you've been added to Brendan's room, play nice. Michael you and Care can sleep in her room. The door open slightly so I can check in." Caroline smirked as Michael's smile left his face. He was going pale white, he was scared of Cari. "Yes Mom." Michael said smiling at her. Everyone knew they were going to get married it was just a matter of time. "Thank you." Marcus said eying the two of them as they held hands under the table.

After Dessert everyone enjoyed Miracle and then all went to sleep as Michael had to literally carry Caroline up the stairs so she wouldn't try to find out what was under the christmas tree. "If you go to bed, then you will find out in the morning." Michael said right before throwing her on top of his shoulder as he went upstairs. It wasn't fair she wanted to know what everything was. "Night babe." Michael said as he kissed Caroline's neck, falling asleep. He was so tired and couldn't wait until tomorrow. Caroline was up the whole night twisting and turning in Michael's arms wide awake. She finally fell asleep in his arms around 3 am, wishing Lululemon, J.Crew and Rangers gear were hiding in those boxes.
