Five Minutes For Fighting (Completed)

Caroline sat on the edge of the Rangers bench hoping no one would push her into the bench as everyone skated by her. It was February 14th the most romantic day of the year and she was at MSG enjoying Warmups as her and one of her best friends John Tavares made mean faces at each other from across the rink laughing at each other. "It's kind of funny that we would be playing the Islanders on Valentines Day." Michael skating over and kissing her. This was his best Valentines Day yet when she woke up she had roses strewn across her room which Carl Hagelin didn't appreciate, and Roses in vases all around, he told her there was 94 flowers, because of her number. Yup she cried. He gave her a beautiful Cartier love ring and they were having dinner after the game. "Haha I know right?" She knew why the NHL did it and she thought it was Absolutely hilarious. "Be right back." He said as someone opened the door to the ice and gave Michael a Microphone. The Jumbo tron suddenly went black as the lights dimmed. What the hell was going on?

Michael skated back to her, as he helped her off the bench and over to Center Ice. "Caroline Zoe Thomas, I've loved you since the minute I held you back when you were born." He said looking at her, all mushy. The jumbo tron started showing pictures from when she was born, showing pictures of them. Together. Aerosmith's "I don't wanna miss a thing." Started playing. "Our relationship is a true love story, growing up we were best friends, I was so protective over you..." Her eyes tearing up a little as she looked on the screen of pictures of the two of them each picture, the two of them getting older. "Then when you and Brayden started dating that summer, the summer I was getting drafted I started getting angry and jealous because you were mine and no one was going to take you away from me." She smiled as his draft photo appeared, and a video of her, her family and the Del Zotto's going crazy when his name was called by the Rangers. "Then later that summer when we were going through bad breakups and we had kissed down by the Thunder Bay Lake I knew you were going to be mine forever."

She started really crying wiping away tears. The bench opened as she turned around and the Pyatt's, Staal's, Brandon Dubinsky, and her parents appeared they all smiling. Marc and Brendan on the verge of crying on the ice near the goalie net. Both teams looking at them at center ice. She could feel John's eyes turning glassy. Then she saw them. Her brothers what were they doing here? And shouldn't Taylor and Tom Pyatt be playing tonight? Same with her brothers and Jordan and Eric Staal. Then Alex, Stammer, and Cody appeared alongside Stu and Jake Gardiner. She could feel Derek and Ryan breaking down alongside Marc and Brendan. "The last four and a half years have been the best I've ever had. Knowing you were beside me. Me wanting to be a better man for you, Knowing that one day I was going to marry you." She smiled, tears in her eyes. This was the most romantic Valentines Day Speech ever. Her family and friends around her. She wondered what kind of present she was going to get? A Car? A Jet? She saw Brendan skate over to them as pictures of the two of them over the last four years splashed onto the Jumbotron. He gave Michael a small box as she put her hands to her face.

OMG. This wasn't a romantic Valentines Day Speech, this was a Marriage Proposal. Tears started to go down her face hard. She couldn't breathe because she was so happy. "Caroline Zoe Thomas will you marry me?" He said into the microphone, getting down on one knee. He had just proposed to her in front of their family and friends, in front of their fans who were their family at MSG their home. He tilted the microphone to her as he started to cry. "Yes, Yes, Yes." She said taking her glove off, as he put the Cartier diamond ring on her finger. He got off his knee and pulled her to him. As both the Rangers, Islanders and everyone started to cry and clap. "It's a Rangers love story." Ryan Callahan said as Brandon Dubinsky cried from the bench. She was going to be Caroline Del Zotto one day. She couldn't wait to marry him. "You're dad said we had to wait until at least next summer so it could be almost 6 years together." He said whispering into her ear. "I'll wait until the end of time, I can't wait to marry you." She said hugging and kissing him. This was her fairytale. And warmups were over. They still had a game to play....Oh god.
