Disco Fries

"Hey girlie! I haven't seen you in a while!" Suzanne's voice rang loud over my car on the bluetooth. "So, tomorrow is your first day back- what do you say we celebrate over dinner tonight! My treat!"

To be honest, I was sick of Jon at my apartment and wanted him to leave but every time I saw those blue eyes of his and that smile I wanted him to stay forever. With Jill's news and Jon's
"fun" night, I really needed to get out of the house.

"Aw thanks Suz, I would really love that!" I spoke back to her

"Alright, we will go to Maggianos- i'll pick you up at 6:30! See you tonight bye!"

"Bye Suzanne, see ya."

As I drove home from the hospital, I thought about what Jill had said. It turned out that it might not be cancer. She said she found a lump on her breast and they took samples but the chances of it being cancer is 40% which I guess is still a big chance. Jill was so scared she was shaking, but after much convincing from me, she calmed down.

"Did you tell Cory yet?" I asked Jill

"No! How could I tell him, he would just worry!" Jill sniffled "It might not even be cancer but i'm not gonna know until next week sometime!"

"Don't worry Jill I won't tell anyone and you will be in my prayers" I smiled. We both stood up and I walked her to her car. "If you need anything- just call me."

"Will do Liz, thank you for everything"

I pulled into my parking space just as Jon was getting in the door with Kona on a leash.

"Hey babe!" He smiled and kissed me on the cheek.

"Babe?" I said sarcastically.

"Yes, babe, and how was the stitches?"

"They were fine, they didn't even hurt. By the way, I am going out with Suzanne tonight and school starts again tomorrow so if you wanna go back to your apartment…." I began hoping he wouldn't think I was kicking him out.

"Haha finally. I can go home!" He laughed as he stalked over to the fridge and grabbed a head of lettuce, "Want some salad"

I nodded and went upstairs to go and shower. When I came out I checked my phone, threw on some sweats, and went into the kitchen to find a beautifully caesar salad made for me.

"I just wanted to say thank you" Jon came up from behind me and rubbed my shoulders.

"For what?" I laughed while I grabbed a fork and started on the salad.

"I don't know, letting me stay here, dealing with drunk me- which i'm very sorry for. "

"Yeah yeah whatever as long as you keep making these salad's you can stay!" You would think that a salad could never be better than a steak or a burger but yet, this salad almost made me vegetarian.

"It's my mom's recipe- I mean the dressing. We basically lived on caesar salad in my house" He spoke as he washed the dishes. I was done with the salad so quickly that I stood up to help him.

"You dry, I wash!" I giggled as I threw a towel at him. Together we washed and dried dishes until the last plate which I handed to him. As he dried it I couldn't stop looking at his lips. He looked to the left and saw me. He slowly put the dish down and grabbed my waist and put his lips on mine. Our tongues explored each other's mouths and I never wanted to pull away until he did.

"Damn that caesar dressing is good." He smirked and then ran upstairs. I clunked my cast ridden leg to the couch and started watching Real Housewives of NJ and thought about that kiss. Holy shit that was amazing! I loved every second of it. From that second forward I wanted Jon. Bad.

Until about 5:30 Jon and I sat with Kona on the couch, half making out and half watching Real Housewives of NJ. He was the worst at watching this show every time one of them spoke he would do a fake Jersey accent or ask "Why do they throw wine at each other? Why not like pasta or something like I feel that's easier to wash out." And every time he would do this, I would lean over and kiss him just for fun.

When I got up to go get ready for dinner, Jon complained.

"Ughhhhhhhh do you have to goooooo!" He said grabbing my hand as I got up from the couch.

"As much as I would love to loose more brain cells with you watching TV I really do want to get out of the house and see some one other than you." I laughed and bent down for a kiss.

"What's better than me!" He called out as I walked to my bedroom to get ready.
