Everything I could ask for. (Completed)

Madeline sat on her bed staring at the lavender ceiling. She had no idea what she wanted. She had no idea who she wanted. Morgan and Aaron were making it hard on her though. Aaron was technically her boyfriend still, but Morgan was acting like he was the only boy in her life. Aaron was "fighting" for her to be his, but he wasn't showing that he really wanted to be with her. But Morgan was showing his heart on his sleeve. So she knew what she had to do. Break up with Aaron. "Mom I am going out." She grabbed her car keys and slipped on her sneakers. She smelled like shit from her training session this morning with Gary Roberts. Her game was getting a bit better every day, and she forgot to take a shower after. "Okay honey, where are you going?" Gabrielle Gilmore walked into the foyer studying her daughter. "Aaron's. I am finally breaking up with him." Saying those words scared her, the last three years was all with Aaron. Her life was Aaron, now it wasn't going to be different, but no so different. "I think that's the right thing honey, Aaron and you drifted apart became different people, but you and Morgan, you guys have something, something special. Something that is going to span decades. Sometimes people are only supposed to be in your life for only a little time." Aaron taught Madeline how to love, how to be a good girlfriend and how to not be so independent all the time. But Morgan had more to teach her, and Morgan really cared about her. Aaron was still young, and wanted to soil his oats. While Morgan was older, and wanted to stop soiling his oats. "Love you mommy." She hugged her and opened the front door. "I am on my way over." She texted Aaron as she got into her Range Rover and drove over.

Aaron knew it was over, he couldn't keep Madeline. Like his dad said, if you love something set it free and maybe one day it will come back to you. He'll have to wait for Madeline to come back to him. He threw all the stuff Mads had given him over the course of three years into two boxes. It was weird that all this stuff could fit into two boxes. He felt like shit. He felt like his life was over. He felt like he was just letting the love of his life go, and there was nothing that could be done. He heard a knock on his door. "Come in." He wiped tears he didn't know were flowing from his eyes away. "Hey." She also had a box in her hand. "Your barrie jersey and sweatshirts. The florida panthers shirt you gave me. A few knick knacks. A lot of Barrie stuff." She said as she put the box on the box and grabbed the two boxes off the ground off stuff he had collected of hers, or she had given him. One thing that sticked was that photo album she had made on their one year anniversary. She thought they would be together forever. "I'll change my facebook status tonight." She said as she dropped the boxes and walked over to him, giving him a kiss on the lips, and one on the cheek. "I am sorry, if I did something. I am sorry if I pushed you away." He returned the favor and kissed her on the forehead. "Thanks, and I am sorry if I pushed you away." She gave him that signature Madeline Gilmore smile and she was out of there. His future left him.

Madeline cried in her car, sitting outside of Aaron's house. A month ago she watched him get drafted, she was planning their future in Florida. And now they were done. Over. Dunzo. They drifted apart, they wanted other things. He wanted to party and have fun. And she wanted to cuddle and train for the upcoming season. One more month and she would be far away from him. He'll be in Florida. And she'll be in Boston. She grabbed her phone and dialed Morgan's number. Thankfully he answered on the first ring. "We're done, Me and Aaron. We broke up. Can I come over?" He said yes. Right now she needed her best friend. And he was her best friend.
