Madeline was running around her room trying to pack everything into boxes as Aaron just laid there shirtless, in a towel not doing anything. "Hey Zeus I know you think your a greek god but your girlfriend is suffering here, and your just laying there looking hot." She smirked as she shoved her gear into her hockey bag, as she threw clothes into another box. "If I do something, that means your closer to leaving and I am not letting you leave." He got off her bed and walked into her closet, throwing on Under Armour and coming out. "Fine, I'll help." Madeline sat there on her rug and cried. "Mads what's wrong?!" Aaron walked over to her and sat down. "We just got back to a good place, and now I am leaving. Back to Boston, back to BC and you are two weeks away from training camp. This sucks. I don't want to leave you Aaron." She sat in his lap as he wrapped his body around her. "We will not crumble again Mads. I trust you, and you trust me. I am completely in love with you. I am devoted to you. Nothing will come between us. It's just you and me Mads. Forever and Always." She touched his tattoo. "Remember when we met?" She said touching her Ekblad Barrie Colts sweatshirt. "Yeah, we played Kitchener. You were there to see Skinner and Landeskog's legends night." She smiled. He remembered. "The guys kept staring at your dad, and brothers. Not every day a Leafs legend comes to one of your games. But I wasn't staring at your dad I was staring at you. I couldn't take my eyes off of you. There was something about you that just intrigued me. I turned to Brendan and said I was going to marry that girl." Her smirk turned into a big grin. He never told her that before. "I remember first seeing you, you captivated me. Then after the game when you had the balls to ask me out in front of my brothers and dad it made you really attractive." She said as he kissed her, his lips lingering longer then ever. This sucks. She couldn't do long distance again.

Morgan was on a date, a date he didn't want. But James and Jake convinced him to let them set him up. He needed to get over Madeline. She made him fall for her, only for her to rip his heart out and stomp on it. He needed someone new. "So what's it like being a....who do you play for again?" He just stared back at her with empty eyes. "I play for the Toronto Maple Leafs." Why did he ever let dumb and dumber set him up. James was single, and Jake and Lucy were practically married. "Oh right." He shook his head. "I miss you best friend. We should go to lunch when I get back to Toronto. Winnipeg is straight boring." He clicked send and looked back up at the fake bottle blonde. "I am so happy you messaged me on Tinder." He laughed. Jake did it when he came to visit Morgan from Minnesota. "Yup." He shook his head again. "I actually need to go, my friend needs me, but it was nice meeting you." He took out of his wallet and put 100 dollar bill on the table. He needed out. He walked out of the bar and grill and into his car slamming the door. "Hey I am leaving tomorrow for BC! I am going to make you proud and win a national championship. The thing we've been talking about since you got drafted to us. Love you Morgs, see you at Thanksgiving!" His heart sank. He was miles and miles away, and she was lying in the enemy's arms.

"We're going to miss you so much honey! This house won't be the same." Gabrielle Gilmore said as she set the dining room table. "I'll miss you guys too, and Jack and Tyler are here for a couple more weeks. And you have dad...." They both laughed. "Yes, me and your dad are going into our golden years. Our kids are 23, 21, and 19. Damn am I old." She laughed at her mom. Her mom had Tyler at 25 Jacky at 27 and Caroline at 29. Her parents got married at 23 after being so in love. And now they were reaching their late 40's. They were empty nesting. "Your so old mom. And your still supermodel skinny. I don't get it." Her mom looked better then she did at 20 when she met Tyler Sr. "Good Genes. You three have your fathers. The hockey gene. You three make me so proud everyday." She smiled. Madeline's goal was to go to the olympics in 2018. But her real goal was to go to the NHL. And she wasn't going to stop trying. "Food is ready." Her dad and the boys came into the house and put down the steaks, burgers, and hot dogs. "Such a classic last meal." Aaron said sitting down in his usual spot next to her. "The best last meal." She grabbed a steak and two hot dogs. Her favorite meal ever. "To Mads leaving us for another year at BC, go win natty's baby and bring home that trophy to Markham." Her dad was so cheesy. "Love you guys." She said as she ate a huge bite of steak. "I love you Madeline Gen Gilmore." Aaron whispered into her ear. "This sucks, but I love you too." Madeline said back. "This summer was unpredictable, wasn't it?" Gabrielle said as she smirked at Madeline. Mads found herself this summer. She found her independence, and the fact that she wasn't a pushover. She found herself this summer. Now she just had to maintain her relationship. The screen flashed on her phone. "Can't wait to see you, tomorrow. Practice your slapper on me?" Thatcher Demko texted her. She hadn't seen that name on her phone, since May. "Can't wait TD! (: Her and Aaron could totally make it through this. Right?
