Shaybu!

Chapter 16

“Come on! We got to find that farmhouse! Who knows how long those two Bruins have?!” Jonathan exclaimed, bolting off from the U.S.A. house. The rest of the group followed, with Shawn keeping an eye on Kathy.

“How are we going to do that?” Patrick questioned.

“We can talk to Benn’s little liney friend?” Ryan suggested.

“Val?” Corey quizzed.

“Yeah. Nichushkin!”

“Why would we talk to Nichushkin?” Torey asked, bewildered.

The group made their way toward the Russian House.

“He’s Russian and he knows this land more than we do. He may know about the farmhouse too!” Jonathan replied.

“Who’s Nichushkin?” Milan muttered.

They neared the house of the Russians. They could see the players out and about. Some of them were chatting with one another.

“That’s Nichushkin, or Val, as everyone calls him!” Jonathan stated, pointing to the forward.

The Dallas Star forward was chatting warmly with Pavel Datsyuk. He looked up, spotting the group nearing the house. He stood up immediately. Pavel turned and joined him. They looked, curiously at the Canadians.

“What do you all want?” Pavel asked.

“If we may, my name is Jonathan Toews, and we’d like to talk to your pal, Val.”

Val looked at the Blackhawk captain. “What is this about?”

“Two players are missing. Our asshole of a captain, Sidney Crosby, has been tormenting his teammates and he has crossed the line. Two Bruin players have vanished and we just received intel that they are possibly being held at a farmhouse nearby. We don’t really know the land that well and figured that you might know a little bit more!”

Val seemed to take in the problem and dipped his head in respect. “I can be of help to you.”

“Great. It was said that there is a farmhouse just outside of the village here. Do you know about the place?” Jonathan pursued.

“I do not know about it, but I have seen it. I think, Malky, is the farmhouse that we saw, is that the one behind Shayba?” Val called to Evgeni Malkin, who had just walked out of the Russian house and spotted the group of Canadian athletes.

“Yeah. Creepy old place!” Evgeni answered, shivering. He flicked his gaze to Jonathan Toews. “What did Sids do now?”

“You don’t want to know!” Jonathan responded.

“You’re probably right!” Evgeni shrugged and walked off, hopping onto a lime green bike.

“I’ll take you all there!” Val exclaimed, generously.

He patted Pavel on the shoulder and skipped toward Jonathan. The two exchanged glances.

“Who was taken?” the Russian asked.

“Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand!” Patrick answered, stepping forward to be with his buddy.

“Ah, the ex-linemates of my new linemate, Segs, aye?” Val shook his head. “I’m sorry about that.”

“And you don’t want to hear about what else that Penguin has been doing to us!”

“Uh, well, again, I’m sorry about that.”

The Canadians and Val Nichushkin made their way through the village toward the Shayba Arena. When they were no more than a block away from the Shayba, Kathy finally managed to slip from Shawn's hold.

She streaked away from the group, making them halt at once.

"Just. Let her go. We can take care of Sid instantly! She won't be dumb enough to go to him with us this close."

As they got nearer, they saw a fence surrounding the village and another fence beyond enclosing a residential area. In a vast field sat a haunted farmhouse structure.

“There’s your farmhouse!” Val stated, pointing toward the building.

Jonathan gulped, feeling his heart stop. He felt a cold sensation fill his body, but it was quickly replaced by a burning desire for revenge and hatred.

“Thanks, Val!”

“It’s no problem. Good luck with your mission and I hope that those two innocent Bruins aren’t dead!”

“Nichushkin!” Milan and Shawn growled in unison.

Val dipped his head in farewell, eyeing the two big Bruins and walked off. He vanished back down the street.

Jonathan turned and faced the old wooden farmhouse. “Let’s get our friends back boys!”

Patrick, Shawn, Milan, Ryan, Corey, Duncan, and Torey shouted their approval. Jonathan lead them out of the village, somehow. Security was sort of lax at that time. They were glad for the chance.

“Krug, Perry, and Duncs, stay here and keep an eye out, just in case. I think that the smaller we are, the better. Getz, Sharpie, Looch and Thorty, follow me!”

They split apart.

Notes

With the talent I see in this fanfiction, I know you will do great things in life. Hopefully, you will be the one to write Bergeron's tale. (And yes, he's going down in NHL and Bruins history!)

@BergeronSmithKrug
Thank you so much. I am really looking to connect with the audience and receive feedback from people on the descriptions and fluidity. I ultimately want to use the fan fiction tales to translate into an original novel. I also want to be the one who writes Bergy's documentary tale, since he's DEFINITELY going down in NHL history. (More than Sidney...haha)

This was sooooooo good

Only Boston fans unfortunately know that Looch is a big softy off the ice. Hell yes to that! Crosby would fit right in and Alex Burrows can join him. That biter! lol

I wouldn't doubt that Looch would be friends with Blackhawks. He might be ruthless on the ice, but off the ice most Bruins are big softies. Hell yeah!! Crosby is a pansy when it comes to hockey, he should really be a soccer player because he dives so much and is a diva!!
