Horse Hockey - Part 2
Chapter 1 - A New Season
It’s the day before the start of the Penguins 2007-2008 season. Missy is at the farm checking on Something since she is due to foal in January. She gives Something her food and then goes home. When she gets home she finds that Jordan is already home. She smiles as she sneaks up behind him wrapping her arms around his waist.
Jordan - This is a nice surprise.
Missy - I love you so much.
Jordan - I love you too.
Missy - Did you give AJ his bottle yet?
Jordan - Not yet but I will.
Missy - Ok, you hungry for lunch yet?
Jordan - Sure, I’ll feed AJ while you make us lunch.
Jordan goes into AJ’s nursery to feed him a bottle. Jordan grabs AJ and sits in the rocking chair near the crib while he feeds AJ. A little while later he burps AJ and puts him back in his crib. He comes into the kitchen and wraps his arms around Missy. He starts nuzzling and kissing her neck. Missy turns around and they begin to kiss until lunch is ready. Jordan helps Missy set the table. Missy brings lunch over to the table. As they’re eating Missy takes a hold of Jordan’s hand.
Missy - I love you Jordan.
Jordan - I love you too sweetie.
Missy - Would you be ok with me going to Lexington in April?
Jordan - I have no problem with that. What’s going on there?
Missy - There’s a Thoroughbred 2 yr old auction down there and I want to get back to racing horses again.
Jordan - You miss racing your horses don’t you?
Missy - Yes I really do.
Jordan - Then go cuz you’re good it.
Missy - Really?
Jordan - Sure babe. It makes you happy and I would hate for you to have to give up something you love doing.
Missy - Aww, that’s really sweet.
Jordan - I mean it babe. If you want help picking out a horse I can help you.
Missy - Aww, of course you can help me. The profiles are online.
Jordan - Then lets finish lunch and then go cuddle on the couch.
Missy - Sounds good to me.
They finish eating their lunch, pick up the table, and then go over to the couch. Jordan lays down on the couch. He grabs Missy’s arm and pulls her close to him. Missy lays her head on Jordan’s chest and goes to sleep. Jordan wraps his arm around Missy and gives her a kiss. He falls asleep a short time later until later that night.
Jordan - I love you baby.
Missy - I love you too sweetie.
Jordan - Why don’t we get Leslie to baby sit tonight?
Missy - Aww, I’d love to go out with you tonight.
Jordan - Call Leslie and then we can go.
Missy digs out her cell phone and calls Leslie.
Leslie - Hey, what do you need?
Missy - Can you come look after AJ?
Leslie - Of course I can.
Missy - Great cuz Jordan and I want to go out tonight.
Leslie - Aww, say no more.
Missy - It’s been a long time since we’ve had a date night.
Leslie - Aww, I’ll be right over.
The girls hang up. Jordan and Missy get ready to go out. A little while later Leslie shows up and then Jordan and Missy leave for the night. They have dinner and then take a quiet romantic walk before heading home. As they’re walking they begin holding hands. They head home as it is starting to rain. They get home. Leslie leaves and then Jordan and Missy get ready for bed. They lay down on the bed. Missy lays her head on Jordan’s chest and goes right to sleep. Jordan wraps his arm around Missy and goes to sleep until the next morning. Missy wakes up and sees that Jordan has left for practice. She gets out of bed. She gives AJ his breakfast bottle and then fixes herself some breakfast. She eats and then goes over to the couch and starts playing a video game for a little while. She curls up on the couch and falls asleep. Jordan comes home a little while later. He goes over to the couch and picks up Missy and carries her to their bedroom. He lays down beside her. He wraps his arms around her holding her close so that they’re spooning with one another. He’s asleep a short time later until he wakes up to leave for his game. Missy wakes up and fixes herself something to eat and then watches Jordan’s game for a little while until she falls asleep half way through. She wakes up long enough to see Jordan score the game winning goal in overtime. She goes back to sleep until Jordan comes home. Jordan comes home a little while later. He goes over to the couch and picks up Missy and carries her to their bedroom. He lays down beside her. He wraps his arms around her holding her close so that they’re spooning with one another. He’s asleep a short time later until the next morning. A couple months pass and it’s now Christmas time, which will be little AJ’s very first Christmas.
