Horse Hockey - Part 2
Chapter 2 - AJ’s First Christmas
Jordan’s on holiday break for a couple days. It’s a couple days before Christmas. Jordan and Missy are putting up their Christmas tree. Missy laughs when Jordan find the mistletoe and puts it over his head.
Missy - (Laughs) Babe what are you doing?
Jordan - (Jokingly pouts) Wanting a kiss under the mistletoe. (Playfully begs) Please baby?
Missy - (Laughs) Ok stop that.
Jordan - (Smiles) Come on baby how can resist me.
Missy - No fair using your smile on me. You know that’s my weakness.
Jordan - (Laughs) Of course I do. That’s why I do it.
Missy - I love you.
Jordan - I love you too.
They begin looking into each others eyes and start to kiss. They continue to kiss until AJ starts crying for his bottle and to be changed. Jordan gets up and goes into the nursery. He picks up AJ and goes over to the rocking chair to give AJ his bottle. He changes AJ’s diaper and then starts rocking him in the rocking chair until he falls asleep. Jordan puts AJ back in his crib. He then kisses AJ on the forehead and then tells him that he loves his little man. He leaves the nursery and goes into kitchen to find Missy baking. He sneaks up behind her and wraps his arms around her.
Missy - (Playfully slaps Jordan’s hand with the spatula) Don’t even think about eating those.
Jordan - (Laughs) You’re no fun.
Missy - (Laughs) Yes I know I’m such a drag.
Jordan - It’s ok I can wait I guess.
Missy - At least wait till the cookies cool so you don’t burn your mouth.
Jordan - Well boo
Missy - It won’t take long.
Jordan fixes himself a smoothie to snack on while he waits for all the cookies Missy’s been baking to cool. Missy gets done with all her baking and then goes over to the couch and sits next to Jordan. Jordan grabs Missy’s arm and pulls her close to him. They begin looking into each others eyes and begin to kiss.
Jordan - Babe, are you sure you want to do this?
Missy - Jordan, sweetie, I’m on the pill remember?
Jordan - Oh right so you can’t get pregnant.
Missy - Do you want to have another baby?
Jordan - I do but it doesn’t have to be right away. We can wait a month or two.
Missy - Sounds fine to me.
They begin to kiss again until Missy lays her head on Jordan’s chest and goes right to sleep. Jordan smiles and wraps his arm around Missy. He goes right to sleep until later that night. A couple days pass and it’s now Christmas morning. Missy, Jordan, and AJ are in the living room opening Christmas presents. Missy’s eyes light up when she sees that Jordan got her his jersey while Jordan smiles when he sees Missy got him his favorite Swiss chocolate. AJ gets a bunch of Penguins baby clothes and jersey. Missy and Jordan clean up all the wrapping paper. Jordan then takes AJ back to his crib for a mid morning nap and then joins Missy on the couch. They begin cuddling on the couch. Missy lays her head on Jordan’s chest and is asleep a short time later. Jordan smiles when he wraps his arm around Missy and whispers in her ear ‘I love you baby.’ He goes to sleep a little while later until later that night. A few days pass and it’s now the morning of New Years Eve. The Penguins are in Buffalo for their outdoor game against the Sabers. The Penguins are finishing up their practice and then will have a family skate. Missy is putting her skates on and waits for Jordan to come back. Jordan comes back onto the ice and takes a hold of Missy’s hand as they skate. As they’re skating Jordan stops and drops to one knee holding a ring box.
Jordan - Missy, honey, I love you more then words can describe. Every day we’re together is the best day of my life. You are the best thing to ever happen to me. You are my best friend and I want spend every day of my life with you. You are such an important part of my life that I couldn’t imagine my life without you in it. (Slips a ring on Missy’s finger) What do you say honey? Will you re-marry me?
Missy - (Smiles and cries) Oh Jordan of course I’ll re-marry you.
Jordan - (Smiles) I was hoping you would say that.
Missy - Of course I would. I love you so much Jordan.
Jordan - I love you too.
They begin looking into each others eyes and start to kiss. They stay on the ice for another half hour to and hour and then go off the ice to put their shoes back on and head to their hotel room. Game day comes and goes with the Penguins winning the Winter Classic in the shootout. They’re finally back in Pittsburgh a few hours later. A week passes and it’s now the night before Missy’s birthday and Something has decided to go into labor.
Missy - (Laughs) Babe what are you doing?
