Gongshow

"Hello?" Aaron answered his phone.

Some of guys were hanging at Sam and Griffin's. Next door, it was obvious Audrey had the girls over. There wasn't much talking occurring with the girls. They were pretty quiet, asides from the shit talking they did. Aaron was messing around the pool when his phone started to ring. He hopped up and ran over.

"Hey, where are you currently?" Candice asked, chatter and music in the background.

"My bud's house, why?" He sat in a pool chair.

"Well I'm like a block away from your h,"

"Come to Sam's, right now." He demanded.

"Where is that?"

"3092 Tule Road. It's giant." He explained. "I'll be waiting out front."

"Okay, see you soon." She sang.

He smiled and hung up. All the guys looked at each other before proceeding to tease him. Zach threw a ball at Aaron as he fixed his hair. Aaron rolled his eyes. He wiped his hand off and adjusted his clothes. He turned to them.

"So who was it that got you all smiley?" Zach mocked.

"Candice is on her way." Aaron breathed. "I haven't seen her in a while.

"Candice!" A female yelped. Audrey's head popped over the fence a second later, a half eaten Popsicle in her hand. "Candice Palmer?" Aaron nodded. "I haven't seen her since I moved."

"I need to move." Griffin shook his head, looking up at Audrey.

She threw her Popsicle at him. "I'm coming over and bringing my clan." She told them.

"Thanks for the warning." Tristan exhaled.

She rolled her eyes and her head ducked down. Sam Bennett walked over to Aaron. Aaron had always talked about this girlfriend of his, but he's never met her, even though he and Aaron were close friends. He walked out front with his love struck friend. Never had Sam seen Aaron so stoked for something.

A car pulled in front of them. The most beautiful girl Sam had ever seen stepped out of the driver's seat. That had to be Aaron's girl. Aaron hugged her before they started to chat. She looked at Sam and turned towards him. He jolted and extended a hand to her. She smiled, shaking his hand.

"You must be Aaron's girl." He spoke. "I'm Sam."

She looked from Sam to Aaron slowly. They both broke into laughter. "No, that's Aaron's girl." She pointed at the blonde finally getting out of the car. "I'm K,"

"Kaylynn Waters!" Audrey's voice cut in.

"Oh my god, you moved here?" Kaylynn gasped, running over to Audrey.

They hugged as they walked towards the group gathering. Sam just watched Kaylynn. Danielle walked over and stood next to Sam. Neither knew the people all catching up. Aaron and Candice were in a make out session. Audrey kicked Aaron in the ass to get him to let go of her. He spun around. Candice smiled at Audrey and hugged her.

"So, you managed to move to the same school as dumbass here?" Candice teased Aaron as he pulled her into his side.

"It's like I'm cursed." Audrey smiled at him.

Kaylynn walked over to Danielle and Sam. She extended her hand to Sam again. "Sorry about that. I'm Kaylynn." She smiled as he shook her hand. She turned to Danielle next.

"Danielle." She shook the other girl's hand. "I'm gonna go back." She said, pointing to the backyard.

Kaylynn nodded and looked to Sam. "Wanna take me back there?"

"Yeah, you can meet the rest of the guys." He told her before he turned to walk.

All the guys froze when they saw Kaylynn. "This is Kaylynn, Aaron's girlfriend's friend."

"Kay?" Mack laughed as he leaped out of his seat.

"Mack? Holy shit!" She exclaimed as she hugged him. "I totally forgot you live out here!"

"How have you been?" He asked, looking her up and down. "You look great."

"I am great." She smiled.

"So you two know each other?" Sam Reinhart asked from his chair.

Mack nodded. "We're old friends." Kaylynn nodded as well.

They went their separate ways. Audrey came running into the backyard and leaped onto Curtis' lap. Candice and Aaron walked into the backyard and sat down with Dani and Kaylynn, who was in a laughing fit from her conversation with Sam Bennett. She looked past Sam at her best friend and her boyfriend. Aaron wagged his eyebrows at Kaylynn then looked at Sam. Kaylynn rolled her eyes.

It started to get dark and the weather cooled down. They had been lucky with nice October days, but the nights were brutal. Some people huddled into Sam and Griffin's house while others planned to leave. Kaylynn left with Candice and Aaron. She hugged Mack, then Audrey, and finally Sam. He didn't know whether he should've been mad about Mack being hugged first, or glad he was last. He dropped down beside Audrey, who had Sam Reinhart beside her. She laughed.

"What?" Sam Bennett frowned.

"I'm in a Samwich." She laughed harder.

"Audrey." Danielle sighed.

Sam Reinhart shook his head. Audrey smacked his leg. She looked to the other Sam who looked miserable. She rested her head on his shoulder. His eyes were on Mack, who's eyes were on the game of NHL he was playing. That had to be all those kids played.

"Hey, do you guys wanna go? My mom's making tacos that I can't miss." Tristan said to Mack and Zach.

"Go like as in fight or leave?" Zach asked, completely serious.

"Zach, why would I want to fight you right now?" Tristan rolled his eyes.

"I don't know. So you could be starter?" Zach grinned.

All the guys cheered at that. Tristan rolled his eyes again, standing up. Mack scored a final goal on Curtis before he stood. He kissed Curtis' cheek and off he was. Curtis kicked at him as he walked away. Griffin stood and pulled Curtis up before announcing they were going to go pick up some pizza for everyone.

"So, what's up SB?" Sam asked the other Sam.

They had gotten into the habit of calling Sam Bennett "SB" because "SR" sounded stupid. Zach argued they should just call Sam Reinhart "Senior" but Griffin didn't like that.

"It's probably really stupid but after like just today of talking with Kaylynn, I'm really interested." He explained.

"So tell her." Danielle shrugged.

"Yeah, she's only here for a bit. No sense wasting time." Sam whacked SB's shoulder.

"I mean, I guess." SB sighed. "Auds, will you help? You know her."

Audrey laughed. "Crushes are lame." She teased.

"Says the one with the boyfriend back home that you haven't broken up with yet." Dani mumbled.

"A boyfriend?" Sam gasped. "Do go on."

Audrey rolled her eyes. "He knows we're broken up. It's been like a couple months since I've even spoke to him."

"He's Aaron's best friend from their old school and this girl didn't even tell the kid she was moving, she just left." Danielle explained.

"Okay, I didn't want to hurt him!" Audrey defended.

"Yes, and just leaving and ripping his heart out by never speaking to him again was going to do that?" Sam challenged.

"Maybe I don't want Audrey to help me." SB whispered.

"Shut up!" She hollered at Sam Reinhart first. "And you shut up too! I am helping you!"

"Defensive." Danielle sang.

"Pretty sure you've been leading on Trouba since ninth grade so shut it." Audrey hissed. "Sam, I can get Kaylynn to come hang out tomorrow. Come to my house and I'll act like I forgot we had plans."

"Or I could go with him and act like the three of us did. It's gonna make her think you're interested in him if he comes over alone." Sam Reinhart intervened.

"That's gonna look like we tried to set up a double date." Audrey frowned.

"Or like you tried to set up a double penetration." Danielle said, scrolling through NHL teams.

Both the guys laughed and Audrey kicked Danielle. Danielle laughed as well as Audrey pouted. They eventually settled on Sam's plan. Now she just had to make sure Kaylynn fell for Sam Bennett.
