Around the seven minute mark, Northdale scored. More specifically, Brendan did. He skated by Audrey, winking as he skated towards his bench. She rolled her eyes, adding it to the board and writing down what the referee told her.

The next thing Audrey had to deal with was a hooking penalty. She opened the box for the Northdale player as he ran his mouth. She rolled her eyes, stepping back into her sanctuary. Jack scored a power play goal. Mack and Michael assisted it. The guy in the box threw open the door as he skated to his bench.

Four minutes later, Val hit the back of the net. It was a rush, starting with a pass from Josh to Sam Reinhart. He faked a shot before he passed back to Val who wound up and shot. Ryan was called for holding with less than three minutes left, but the Falcons managed to kill the penalty. It was 2-1 Fairview at the end of the first.

The first call in the second was a hooking penalty on Seth. That lead to a power play goal by Northdale, scored by Brendan himself. Seth frowned at Audrey as she closed the door behind him. She felt bad. The game continued with out a call or goal for a couple of minutes.

At one point in time, a player from Northdale was kicked out of the face off. Brendan replaced him. Audrey shut her eyes as he skated to face off against Sam. Sam had no reaction. Brendan gave Sam a little smirk while the referee went to explain why said player was kicked out of the circle to the coach.

"Maybe you should try to do something to impress your girl. It seems like I've done more for her than you could." Brendan spoke.

The referee came back as Sam took a deep breath. "I've seen the pictures you've sent her. There's nothing that could do for her better than I can." He said, before he won the face off.

Griffin noticed the exchange. He hopped on during a change and the first thing he did was go at Brendan. He got called for roughing, but it was worth it. Audrey opened the box for him with a smirk. He winked at her, tapping his gloved knuckles to hers before he sat down.

That's how the second ended. The ice was resurfaced and everyone was anxious for the third. The championship game was tied. The teams came back out once the zamboni was done. They huddled out front of the bench. Audrey watched the Fairview bench.

Sam glanced over and smiled. She blew him a kiss. He pretended to catch it and placed it on his heart. She rolled her eyes, looking over to Northdale. Brendan was chuckling with a shake of his head. She glared at him. She hated him. He had never acted like this towards her before.

Curtis was called for high-sticking with 15:34 left in the game. He came in the box screaming. Audrey found it funny since he was rarely unhappy. She left the door between them open so she could hear it. She laughed the entire time.

"You're welcome for the show." He teased with a smile as his penalty ran out.

"Don't do anymore stupid shit." She smirked, closing the door behind him.

Nick was in the box five minutes later. Puck over glass. He growled as he dropped onto the bench. She felt tension. He just watched the teams play in silence. She hasn't spoke to Nick since the end of their fling. Since his brother attacked her. She felt her body loosen as he left the box.

Sam and Brendan had been shoving each other all night. Audrey had noticed. She knew Brendan was the one instigating. Sam promised he wouldn't start and she believed him. Brendan went in for a hit on Sam. They both fell, tangled in each other. Sam still managed to get the puck out to his teammates.

Sam got up and skated away. He could hear Brendan still chirping. Sam ignored it. It was hard for him but he ignored it. Brendan continued to pick on Sam. Sam could not believe the ref hadn't called anything yet. Brendan was making comments about everything. How Sam was playing, how Sam looked, how he had Audrey before Sam. It was pathetic.

"I should've known she'd move on before breaking it off with me. That's what sluts do." Brendan hissed at Sam.

"No wonder she left you. You can't play hockey and you don't know how to treat girls." Sam spat back.

The play went the opposite direction but Brendan and Sam stayed. They threw their sticks down and their gloves off. They circled before Brendan went in and Sam's right hook connected with Brendan's face. It was downhill for Brendan after that. Brendan fell to the ground with Sam still holding his jersey. Sam helped him up as the referee skated over.

Both were given five minute penalties. Audrey just frowned at both of them as they came to the box. Neither needed medical attention so she was forced to sit between them. She wrote everything down and went back to the game. She knew Sam didn't start the fight but she wished he hadn't of been in one in the first place.

She looked over at him. He brushed his hair back. He felt her glance and looked over. He mouthed 'sorry' to her and she nodded. She wasn't mad at him, she just didn't like seeing him get hurt. She looked at Brendan who was watching the exchange. He looked angry and he had a couple shiners coming in. She shook her head at him.

Overtime was what would decide the champion. It was a clean period. No penalties. No injuries. Nothing. The clock was whinding down. Northdale pulled their goalie to give them the extra attacker. The puck sat on Zach's stick. He saw Michael break down the ice. He passed it with all his strength.

The puck had an awkward bounce, hitting a Northdale stick and bouncing backwards. It continued to slide. Directly towards the net. Everyone was on their feet. A Northdale player dived to stop it but he couldn't reach. The puck began slowing down as it neared the crease.

The horn went off after the puck just passed the line. With four seconds left in overtime, Zachary Fucale scored the game winner. Fairview's goalie scored the game winner. Fairview flew onto the ice, everyone tackling Zach. The stands were wild, the coaches were wild, the team was wild.

Audrey was losing it in her box. She finished writing everything down before handing it to the referees to sign. She gave the ugly sheet to the Northdale coach before she ran through the penalty boxes and hopped over to the Fairview bench. She hugged her dad as she gave him the sheet.

"Holy shit!" Dustin exclaimed.

"Holy shit is right! We finally won a fucking championship!" Phil cheered, hopping onto the ice.

Audrey laughed before she began chatting her dad's ear off. He just smiled and nodded at his daughter's excitement. He looked behind at Sam waiting near the bench door for her. She slowed down, furrowing her brows at her dad. He nodded his head towards Sam.

"Someone's waiting for you." He stated.

Audrey turned slowly. Sam smiled at her. She ran over and leaped into his arms. He held her and skated towards the team. Her legs wrapped around his waist. She pulled back a bit to see his face. She grabbed it before kissing him. He smiled into it. Jo skated over and licked his lips.

"If only we had somewhere to celebrate tonight." He said, cocking a brow at Audrey.

"Championship party at my house!" She hollered, throwing an arm up while the other held onto Sam.

Everyone cheered. Sam put her down with a kiss so she could go see everyone else. She ran over to Sam Bennett first. The guys had forced him on the ice. She gave him a hug. He chuckled. She ran over to the girls after and they all screamed. Kaylynn and Candice had even joined the Fairview group. Audrey did her rounds before she got to Zach.

"You!"

"You!" He mocked before she kissed him. "Woah!"

"I cannot fucking believe you scored the game winner!" She explained.

"It's all in a day's work." He smirked.

"Don't ever change, Zach." She laughed as she walked back to her boyfriend. He wrapped an arm around her. "I might have just kissed Zach."

"I might have to kiss Zach." He shrugged

"Congratulations, Sammy." She smiled up at him.

"I couldn't have done this without you, Aud." He sang, kissing her.

Michael noticed the two and remembered his own girlfriend had yet to come kiss him. He looked around and spotted her heading his way. He poked his head out from between some of the guys.

"Hey." Michael called at Danielle as she walked past him. "Not gonna congratulate me?"

"I couldn't find you!" She rolled her eyes, hugging him. "I'm so proud of you."

"It wasn't j,"

"Can you please not get all philosophical for once and just let me be proud instead of annoyed?" She cut him off.

"I don't annoy you." He argued, holding her tighter.

"Whatever you need to tell yourself, Mikey." She smirked.

"Thanks for dealing with me this season." He told her.

"It meant a lot having you there for me."

"I was starting to get a rep by hanging around the team without a boyfriend so I had to pick you up." She teased.

"Smart ass." He growled before he kissed her.

The couple was bumped by Andre and Holiday. He was holding her, their lips attached, as he spun around the circle. Michael and Danielle made gagging noises. Taylor joined in until Jack came up behind her. He kissed her cheek before she turned to face him.

"Since I scored in the game, do I get to score with you?" He whispered.

She smirked. "The night is young." She replied before kissing him.

"When did this happen?" Mack asked, crossing his arms.

Kaylynn shook her head. "Leave them alone and come see me." She whined, grabbing his hand.

He spun around at smiled at her. "Okay."

She smiled, wrapping her arms around his torso. "I think Candice and I are gonna try to switch here for senior year."

"Really? Where are you gonna stay?" He asked, hugging her.

"Aaron's mom said we could stay there." She explained.

"My house is also available if you need to get away." He told her.

"Yeah, but you're leaving this year." She sighed.

"My mom still loves you, Kay. She won't care if I'm there or not." He chuckled.

"Kaylynn," Candice said, walking over with Aaron.

"Candice," Kaylynn mocked, turning in Mack's arms to see her.

"Have you seen Sam yet?" Candice asked.

"No, he's here?" Kaylynn furrowed her brows.

"With his new girlfriend." Candice nodded.

"That looks exactly like you." Aaron mumbled.

Kaylynn's brows furrowed even more. She walked out of Mack's embrace to look around. She spotted Sam talking to some of the guys with a girl holding his arm. A girl that could almost be Kaylynn's clone. She looked at Mack with a frown. He laughed and pulled her back.

"Don't worry about it. It's probably a coincidence." He tried to reassure her, and himself as he hugged her once again.
