Eight Days of the Week

For Penny Hendricksen, life had never been much more than playing soccer and watching hockey with her family. A diehard Blackhawks fan, she had lived in Plainfield, Illinois her entire life.
When an opportunity comes along to be apart of the Blackhawks organization, she doesn't think twice. With a hopeful outlook and a past she's eager to suppress, before she can say "Chelsea, Chelsea, I believe" she's immersed into the world of professional hockey. And she's happier than she's been since her days as a college soccer player.
That is until one Jonathan Toews begins to rock the boat. Upon meeting Penny, he finds himself at a loss for the first time in his life, which at once frustrates and intrigues him. He is determined to uncover her past, even if he can't decide on the future.
With a growing fondness for a man she can't read, Penny soon finds that contentment and happiness are not the same. That where there's smoke, there's a fire. And where there's hockey, there's love.
