Setting: Angelia’s bedroom/The hockey rink of imagination
Angelia is sitting on her bed once more. She is thinking. Finally, she gets up and walks over to her desk and opens up her laptop.

ANGELIA
Ideas, ideas….what should I write about today? Maybe Jonathan Toews….or…...Patrick Kane?

She begins to type on a the computer.

ANGELIA
Hmm….what can I write about with them?

She thinks.

ANGELIA
Ooh I know!!

She begins to type on her keyboard again.

Downstage, Jonathan enters from the right side, while Patrick enters from the left. ANGELIA’S “TWIN” enters from right. She whisks past the two boys, who halt and talk to one another pointing at the woman.

Angelia is on her laptop still, getting out her ideas. She writes that “Patrick stepped forward, thrown by the beauty of the woman. He is in love.”

PATRICK
Out of my sight
But the vision is still the same
Out of my mind
But the memory remains unchanged
Stones thrown in anger hold twice the hurt
Return to sender could only make things worse

(Now Angelia has Jonathan cut in, shoving his friend to the side.)

(Instrumental Break - Angelia’s Twin struts around “showing off” to both men. They both want her and fight over her. At one point they both start “play fighting.”)

Angelia pauses and spins to face the audience. She has a sudden idea. She gets to her feet at once.

ANGELIA
Being a writer, I can do anything I want. So I can use this story as a way to figure out who I want….who my heart truly wants! Maybe I can experiment with different stories and after watching the first Stanley Cup final game, I think I can play around with them. It’s my own little fantasy. John Scott makes a perfect villain character too.

She comes forward to the frozen Patrick.

ANGELIA
People seem to find you the weakest of the Dynamic Duo here, my sweet Kaner, so what if I have you and pretty boy Tyler get captured by John Scott, the big mean goon. He can catch you both in the locker room and tie you up and threat Chicago’s Stanley Cup chances! But the hobbled, brave captain comes to the rescue! How about that for a plot?

She pats Patrick on the head like a dog.

ANGELIA
Yes, I like it! My sexy blonde captive!

She snuggles against the hockey player.

So yeah, this is a glimpse into my mind as a writer.....brilliant right?
In essence, aren't we all on here at least somewhat related to Angelia? Don't we also have crazy ideas? And aren't a majority of us in love with the Dynamic Duo of Chicago?
