Don't Forget Me

Your Love Is My Drug

"Good morning babe" I was greeted with a smile, and the delicious aroma of a well cooked breakfast. I slowly opened my eyes, my nose curiously smelling the air around me. "I made you breakfast in bed" he grinned from ear to ear. He set the plate down in front of me; perfectly cooked bacon, nice and crispy, scrambled eggs mixed with cheese and hot sauce, a slice of cinnamon raisin toast, and a glass of milk to top it off.

"Wow Jon; this is so thoughtful, thank you" I replied in awe and appreciation.

"Did you make it up and down the stairs all by yourself?" I asked, beginning to eating the delicious plate in front of me.

"I had some help" he laughed with a wink. "Corey came back over this morning, he gave me a hand with breakfast and the kids; Sydney told us you could really use the break from everything" he smiled proudly. "Ryder and Aveyah are downstairs with the both of them now" he added as an after thought.

"You guys are too much" I mumbled with a full mouth. "I'm lucky to have you guys" I added once my mouth was no longer filled with the delicious meal Jon had made me. It took me no time at all to finish it; it was spectacular.

"Glad you enjoyed it" Jon laughed, considering I devoured the plate in front of me faster than anything.

"Has Pat been up yet?" I asked, suddenly remembering about their night last night. It was completely out of character for Patrick to disappear with a girl and not let the guys know.

"He hasn't, we're afraid of going downstairs" Jon chuckled, taking my hand. I helped him stand up handing him his came from the corner. His walking was really coming along well; he could walk greater distances without having to take a break.

"Well it's after ten, he usually has kicked her out by now" I commented, helping Jon slowly down the stairs. We could hear the chatter of Corey and Sydney, and the laughter of Aveyah and Ryder. I smiled, happy for Corey and Sydney for having twins in six months. Since the Hawks were going to be on the road, she asked me to join her to find out the sex of the babies.

"Something isn't right with this whole situation" Jon confessed worriedly. We got to the bottom of the stairs, making our way to the living room where Sydney sat on the floor playing trucks with Ryder. Corey was busily playing kitchen with Aveyah, who kept bringing him over plates of plastic food.

"Daddy!" Ryder smiled widely. "Mommy! Look she's playing trucks" he added happily, handing Sydney another truck. She graciously accepted, driving it along the road mat. By the look of how she was doing, I knew she was going to be a great mother. Being rather nervous of having twins, I told her the pair of them could look after Aveyah and Ryder to practice; she was more than willing to accept.

"Morning guys, thanks for this" I commented, taking a seat next to Corey. Aveyah immediately seized the opportunity to get me a plate of plastic French fries and a hamburger.

"Anytime, these two are so well behaved" Corey told me in surprise. Jon and I looked at each other, laughing to ourselves; if only that's how it was all the time.

"Yeah, try at bed time" Jon added with a smirk.

"Or getting dressed... yikes" I chuckled to myself.

"So I need to ask..." Corey trailed off awkwardly.

"Patrick hasn't woken up yet, no" Jon answered his question.

"Something isn't right with that" Corey determined, all of us nodding. "I mean, I know Kaner has been going through a rough to, but I mean- I just don't think he would take any girl home anymore, he's changed" he shrugged.

"No, I agree With you there" I spoke up. "He hasn't really been to a bar in- well in over a year" I recalled. He was the only reason I got through Jon being in a coma for as long as I did. He took care of me, and the kids; I couldn't have had it any better.

"Well, should we wake him?" Jon asked after a few moments spent in deep thought. Before anyone was able to answer, the door of the basement crashed opening, causing all of us to flinch; even Ryder and Aveyah.

"Good morning!" A female voice trilled loudly. Her voice was high pitched, and extremely familiar sounding. I looked to Jon, Corey and Sydney, who seemed to think the same thing as I. My jaw almost hit the floor when the girl walked around the corner into view. Sydney's face went pale white, looking like she had seen a ghost. My hands balled up into fists, instantly remembering who she was.

"Get out. Now" I almost screamed. She jumped a little, before smirking and shaking her head.

"I don't think so" she snarled, looking Sydney up and down. "Well, well, look who got herself knocked up" she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "What, did the hobo down the street do that?" She teased spitefully.

"Ayesha" Sydney stated simply withno emotion. Sydney and Ayesha were best friends, that was until the Hawks fan fest. Ayesha was a miserable bitch, coming in and asking why Jon would marry me.

"Who wants to drop the puck first?" Patrick asked. He looked tired and anxious to be finished. I couldn't blame him, I was surprised he actually came out to be honest. He was coming along, obviously still very heartbroken, but getting there.

"I will, my name's Sydney" the bitch brunette's friend smiled widely. She shook both Jon and Pat's hand before posing for the picture. "You guys are my absolute favourite, I admire your skill so much!" She squeaked nervously. "I play hockey too, centre" she added, blushing because she was rambling.

"Hey, that's great! How long have you been playing?" Pat asked, pretending to be excited. I knew he loved meeting fans, but today was just not his day; nor would the next few weeks be good or easy for the poor guy.

"Since I was five, so for almost twenty years now" she smiled proudly. "I play for an inter mural group for women, we formed our own league" she explained with a grin. "It's pretty awesome, we're the Lady Blackhawks" she added
.

"Wow, that's pretty impressive. I hope you Lady Hawks rep us well" Jon smiled with a wink, and I swear she almost fainted. She smiled, nodding her head vigourously.

"Okay, they've heard enough, my turn" it was bitch brunette's turn. Sydney eyed her sadly, before moving out of the way and allowing her friend to take her place. It wasn't hard to see what was going on here; Sydney put up with her bitch friend because she had nobody else, or at least felt that way.

"Okay, here" Patrick smiled, handing her the puck. The girl smiled widely, eyeing both Jon and Patrick with desire in her eyes. "It was great to meet you girls" Patrick smiled, knowing it was finally the end of the day, and the end of a long weekend.

"Ayesha" she stuck her hand out, introducing herself rudely. "Big fan of you both" she added with a wink. I rolled my eyes, wanting to toss her out of the building already. "Can I ask you something right quick?" She asked, smacking her gum.

"Uh- yeah sure" Jon shrugged
.

"Why are you with her?" She pointed at me. I could feel my cheeks getting warmer, my anger rising. Did this bitch honestly walk up to MY husband and ask why he was with me? I was fuming, but I kept my cool. I needed to remain professional, and couldn't do anything to jeopardize my job as much as the girl deserved a smack in the face.

"Ayesha, that's rude, they're adorable together" Sydney interjected before anybody could answer. I looked over to Sydney who smiled when we made eye contact, before turning her head towards the ground, as if she spoke when she shouldn't have.

"I wasn't asking you" she snarled. "So?" She asked, turning to Jon and waiting for an answer.

"Because I love her" Jon simply stated, coming over and intertwining our hands. "We've got a great thing going; I've never been more in love than I am with her" he grinned, kissing my cheek. I blushed, looking at the ground before looking up to see her face.

"But look at her" she pointed in disgust. I felt uncomfortable in this situation. Normally, I would have put this bitch right in her place, but I was still gun ho on impressing Darrel
.

"She's the most beautiful girl in the world, I know" he answered smoothly.

"And the nicest girl I've ever met" Patrick chimed in, standing on my other side.

"Not to mention she planned most of this event herself" Sydney added, looking over at her friend. I felt myself smile inwardly, thankful I had an amazing husband, and an amazing best friend to defend me like they were.

"Any other questions?" Patrick asked politely. Ayesha stood in place, stunned. She quickly recovered, snapping her fingers and beckoning Sydney to follow her.

"Come on Syd" she called her friend. Sydney rolled her eyes, turning to Jon, Patrick and I.

"Look, I apologize for my friend, she's a bit obsessed with you" she pointed to Jon. "You seem great Addie, don't ever let people like her get you down" she whispered, before turning on her heels and following her bossy friend
.

Sydney hadn't talked to her since I took her in, and showed her what it was like to have real friends. I knew Corey had heard about her, from the anger visible in his eyes.

"Actually, she's pregnant with my children" Corey spoke up in a harsh voice.

"Yeah right, like she could ever get somebody like you" she taunted.

"How the hell did you get into my house?" Jon wondered angerly aloud.

"Why don't you ask Patrick?" She smiled mischievously.

"He would never take you home" I near yelled in disgust. "and when the hell did you get blonde hair and fake boobs?" I scoffed, rolling my eyes. She sneered, flipping her hair over her shoulder.

"He would, and he did" she answered simply.

"Then where is he?" I asked nervously.

"Right here" Patrick mumbled, coming up from downstairs holding his head. He had a gash in his head, blood still running down. I jumped up right away, ushering to the bathroom to get what I needed to fix up his head, and make sure he was ok.

"What the hell did you do to Patrick!?" Jon roared, standing up without his cane. Corey stood beside him, anger written across both of their faces. I sat Patrick down on the couch, dabbing the cut lightly with peroxide. He winced in pain, closing his eyes. I handed him an Advil, which he took right away.

"I didn't do anything" she replied with a grin. "We just had... rough sex" she winked.

"I don't buy it" Jon shouted. "I want you to get the fuck out of my house, and never come back again. Otherwise, there's going to be a huge problem" he sneered. Whilst I inspected Patrick's wound, I noticed Sydney escort the kids out of ear shot. I silently thanked her, grateful Ryder and Aveyah didn't have to hear anymore.

"Well, if you kick me out, I won't give you this" she held up a disk in her right hand. We all eyed it curiously, wondering what she could possibly have on there.

"What is that?" Corey asked in frustration.

"Wouldn't you like to know" she smirked.

"Yeah I would, that's why I asked. Were you even listening?" Corey asked, raising an eyebrow. Jon, Patrick and I suppressed a laugh, Ayesha glaring harshly towards us.

"I'll take that" Sydney appeared back into the room, snatching the disk from her former friend's unsuspecting hands. Without a word, she broke it in half, throwing the pieces back at Ayesha. "Look, you're not welcome here. I know what you did last night, so you can stop the sherade. Don't you remember we used to be friends? I remember all of it" she sneered, walking towards the window. She opened up the curtains, revealing the police car outside.

"Sydney what are you talking about?" She eyed the window nervously.

"You know, drugging Patrick, breaking into the house and probably raping him? Oh yeah, that" she hissed. "I took the liberty of getting you a ride home, you're welcome" the door suddenly opened and two police officers burst through. "I don't think you'll be having fun where you're going" she smirked, as her former friend got taken away in handcuffs.

"What the hell" Patrick spoke up, his eyes wide with fear. "I- I'm sorry I-"

"Pat, it's not your fault" Sydney assured him. "It's what she does, I just finally got the courage to stand up to her, it felt nice" she smiled proudly.

"I'm incredibly proud of you" I told Sydney with a smile. She nodded, ushering Ryder and Aveyah back into the room. "And especially thanks for that" I gestured to the two running kids. Ryder hopped into my arms, whilst Aveyah clung to Jon's leg.

"She was mean" he spoke, causing all of us to laugh softly.

"You're right buddy, she was" Corey confirmed, sitting back down in his seat.

"I have to go" Patrick excused himself. He got up from the couch, and before anyone of us could blink, he was out the door, car pulled out of the driveway.
