Deleted Scenes of AAOOOSC!

Chapter 5

MARCH 5

The Pond is looming high up.

Cram is staring at it after practice. He now has a growing black eye from last night’s fight. All the Canucks are behind him, walking away happily.

Cram: Why do I have to play against them tonight? *walks along side it, taking in his old home*

Monty: Joey?

Cram halts. Peers ahead of him.

Monty is in his practice clothes. He has a smile on his face.

Monty: *rushing up to him* Joey!!! *hugs him* Oh man, is it good to see you! *pulls away* I thought I’d never… *spots the Canucks-themed clothes Cram is wearing* *heavy sigh* Oh...

Cram: *shrugs, wallowing in his misery* It’s my team.

Monty: But we’re still friends, right?

Cram: *looks away*

Monty: Come on, in the Ducks or not, we’re still together. The guys miss you a lot, believe it or not.

Cram: Okay.

Ritch: Joeeeeyyy!! *halts right next to Monty* Do you miss me?

Monty: What--?

Cram: *shrugs* Yeah.

Ritch: Monty!!!! Joey says he misses me

Monty: What?

Ritch: Do you miss Monty?

Cram: No.

Ritch: *sly smile* He doesn’t miss you, Monty Muffins.

Monty: Well, not yet *crosses arms*

Ritch: I’m gonna see if there’s still snacks. *walks off*

*awkward silence*

Monty: Well...I guess...we’ll see you out on the ice. *scratches back of head*

Cram: Sure. *starts turning around*

Monty: Yup. *small smile and wave* Bye Joey.

Cram walks away.

Game night:

In the pregame…

Cram: *standing around as others are waiting for pucks from the net* Well, here I am.

Cram: *moved parallel to the net, still far away* I'm at my former team's home...on a new team.

Cram: *drifting around* *sighs* Better not think about it.

Cram: *drifting around, looking at his glove to take in the blue* I can do this. I don't need my old teammates. I don't need to dwell over them.

Cram: *peers at Canucks shooting at net* I got my new teammates here...

The Canucks are happily passing to each other, shouting for passes

Cram: Yeah, those guys...

Cram: *drifts toward the boards as Bo is in front of them with the puck as others want it* They're nice, I guess...

Cram: *turns around and drifts the other way* They’re just a big cliqué…

Cram: *halts at the end of the circle that is being formed around the net* ...that I’m not included in.

Cram: *looks away with a sigh* I wanna go back to the my team with my teammates.

Cram: *follows the puck with the others* No! remember, I don't need them.

Cram: *follows the puck super closely as it’s by the net* Look at the puck, there's the puck, think about the puck: Puck, Duck, puck, Duck, my old teammates...

Cram: *finally looks at the Ducks at the other end* Goodness, I really want to go over there. I'd be with my guys...

Cram: *turns back to the puck, as it is being shoved by the net by the mass in front of him* No, turn away. There's the puck. Puck, puck, puck.

Cram: *looks at the puck as Daniel has it by the side of the boards* If only I could get the puck...?

Cram: *stands there, watching the Canucks putting it in the net* They're not gonna pass it to me. It's a lost cause. I'll just wait...

Cram: *skating off with a puck of his own* Finally! The huddle has been broken! I can skate off!

Cram: *shoots at the empty net* And I can shoot the puck myself!

Cram: *gliding by the boards toward the tunnel* Typical, I have to do everything here by myself.

Cram: *stepping off the ice* I’m outta here.

Monty: *skating around* Alright! Time to warm up for this game!

Monty: *staring ahead at the mass of Canucks* Oh...the game against the Canucks...the team Joey is on now.

Monty: *peering at his team* Ah, it's fine, I guess. I still have Nicky--and the Swedehearts, those jokers! And don’t forget KesBoss too!

Monty: *catches Joey as he glides up toward his direction* There's Joey over there. Oh man, he looks so weird in blue and green. This doesn't feel right.

Monty: *tears away from him to team, grabbing a puck* But here, we are the Ducks! The ones on the Ducks are the only ones that matter!

Monty: *shoots it into the net* Just gotta think that way.

During the game...

Cram: *skating up to Ritchie* I'm getting the puck!!!

He is still vicious, trying to get the puck and hitting, yet his powerful edge is lost. The stride to complete his actions is lost. He doesn’t do much.

Cram: *during TV break, he catches Monty in centre ice with him, so he turns around and drifts away* Don't think about him, don't think about him…

Monty: *same thing as Cram* Don't think about him, don't think about him...

Monty: *at the faceoff* Alright, time to get back on track, get back on track...

Cram: *drifting away from his team since no one includes him, he’s nearing the Ducks, so he sadly detours* Don't look who's behind me…don't look who's behind me…

He doesn’t want to show that playing against his ex-teammates hurts, yet let’s admit it, it does.

Cram: *glides up to Brandon* Just go with my teammates. There, like this. Okay, and now I have to engage with them. Eh, standing like this is convincing enough.

Cram: *about to blow having to stand there, forgotten; he drifts away from the bench, where everyone else goes to, to the centre ice* Forget it, I'm going nowhere. I'm gonna get what I truly deserve: attention. Look at me! I’m now your worst enemy...!

After the game in the locker room…

Henrik: Ve vun unuzeer metch! Tvu geme vinning streek!!!

Canucks: YAYAYAYAAAY!!!

Troy rings a cowbell as Ben throws confetti

Cram watches it land away from him, since that’s how far he is from the celly

Daniel: Ve scure tvu guels! Oune frum Bu!

Troy: Bo Bo!!!

Ben: Atta boy!

They high-five each other

Bo receives a gummy bear from Ryan.

Henrik: Und unuzeer guel eez frum Merkuos!

Troy: Who?

Markus: *raises up hand* Me.

Everyone claps and rings the bell for Markus. He is thrown a gummy bear

Markus Naslund: Why don’t I have the whole bag like Nikolay yesterday?

Ryan: *holds up empty bag* I ate them all on the bench.

Henrik: Keep up zee ivesume vurk, ve juost meeght meke it tu zee pleyuffs!

Daniel: Ja, ja, ja!!

Troy: *moves Canucks up two spots* So close!!!

25. Red Wings
26. Canucks
27. Stars
28. Devils
29. Coyotes
30. Avalanche

Not even close.

Cram looks at how high Ducks are.

1.Caps
2. Wild
3. Jackets
4. Pens
5. Hawks
6. Rangers
7. Sharks
8. Habs
9. Oilers
10. Sens
11. Ducks
12. Flames

Remembers about how they planned on winning the Cup together. Groans and runs fingers through hair.

On the airplane

Cram is in the back as the others sleep, watch videos, and eat chocolate. He is so bored, sulking.

Then his phone rings.

It’s Monty.

Cram: What?

Monty: *in his room in Anaheim* Joey! Oh, thank goodness you picked up!

Cram: Why?

Monty: I-I was...worried.

Cram: About what?

Monty: About you. *pause* *sighs* It was so weird. *sits on bed* I wanted to talk to you after the game.

Cram: We’re on separate teams, we can’t be talking to each other after games, I’m on a team schedule different than yours.

Monty: I just don’t like how our communication has been totally cut off now that you’ve been claimed off waivers. It’s awkward.

Cram: Well, because we’re on different teams. It’s awkward talking to your opponent.

Monty: But you’re not our opponent, Joey! You’re our friend. I still picture you as our friend.

Cram: You can’t be friends with the enemy. That’s how you get tricked.

Monty: You’re not our enemy though! I mean, on the ice, we are against each other, but then off the ice, we can hang out and talk, even on the phone. I’m just trying to keep our relationship alive.

Cram is silent.

Monty: Do you want the same?

Cram peers out at window sadly.

Monty: Joey?

Cram: *whispers* I wanna go back home. I wanna go back with you guys.

Monty: Same here. But maybe do the best with what you got.

Cram: I got nothing here. No one listens to me or acknowledges me. I fight, they don’t talk about it. I’m trying to get the puck, but they won’t let me have it. They don’t hate me or anything, they have just their own system and won’t bother to include me in it.

The Canucks laugh from behind.

Cram: Now I know how it’s like to be on the outside.

Monty: If I could, I would be right there next to you as your only friend.

Cram: Thanks, but that’s not helping.

Monty: Trust me, give it time and they’ll get used to you and include you in. Try asking questions and show interest in what they’re doing. It’d be another problem if they won’t let you in after that.

Cram: I don’t want to come up to them though. I already know they won’t care. Why bother trying to be with they if they won’t bother being with me?

Monty: Well, trying to make the best with what you got?

Cram: I already told you, I got nothing. *looks at them* But I’m trying to score. Put myself in the spotlight. Then maybe they can appreciate me.

Monty: Yeah, that’d be great if you can score!

Cram: I can score again and again until we make it to the playoffs. Get the Cup. And I can be the hero.

Monty: Um, *chuckles* not to burst your bubble or anything, but do you know where you guys are in the standings?

Cram: I don’t care. As long as they begin to appreciate me.

Monty: Well, had you scored yet in the past two games?

Cram: Well, I did have a few shots on goal.

Monty: But you never scored.

Cram: We won two games.

Monty: Joey, admit it, you didn’t.

Cram: But I will. And finally they’ll start looking up to me. And I’ll continue scoring and become the best. It’s perfect. Beside, there’s not much talent here.

Monty: *chuckles* Um, I uh

Cram: You’re underestimating me, Monty Muffins?

Monty: *chortles* “It’s just that there’s always gonna be someone better than you.”

Cram: “Would there be someone better than that person?”

Monty: “Well, yeah.”

Cram: “And would there be someone better than that person?”

Monty: “Yeah, I suppose.”

Cram: “Then where does the chain end? Who ends up as the best?”

Monty: “No one: there’s always someone better than someone else one way or another.”

Cram: “There’s gotta be someone who’s the best. There has to be the end of the chain.”

Monty: “Not necessarily.”

Cram: “It can’t be infinite. There has to be one person up on the top. There has to be someone better than everyone else with no one better than him. And that person will be me.”

Monty: *stares out, starting to get worried for Cram* Um, it’s been a long day. You should get some rest. Things will get better and I hope you score. *quickly* Good night, Joey. *hangs up*

Cram: *brings phone and turns it off* *looks up ahead in determination*

Vancouver…

All the Canucks are going down the flight of stairs from the airplane.

Ben: Oh man, that’s insane!

Troy: You gotta do that again!

Bo: It’s hard, but I can try!

All the Swedes are talking together

So are the goalies

Everyone else is with Nikolay.

Cram comes out last. Watches everyone walking away happily.

Cram holds breath, feeling the stinging pain of being left behind. Goes down the stairs.

In his temporal hotel room…

The door opens and Cram enters it. He tosses his stuff aside and starts pacing around with his hands in his hair

His mind is flashing stuff as his eyes are in a daze

Meeting Maxi for the first time

Meeting Monty for the first time

Them getting along really well

Maxi leaving to St. John’s

Hanging out with the Ducks

The call of Vancouver

Sitting in the locker room all alone

Watching the Canucks laugh among themselves

Going down in the fight

Everyone celebrating for scoring

Meeting up with Monty again

Looking at the Ducks longingly

Trying to score

Monty: There’s always gonna be someone better than you.

Trying to score

Trying to score

Canucks celebrating

Trying to score

Canucks celebrating

Trying to score

Canucks celebrating

AAARRRRUUUUUUGGGHGHGHGHGHGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cram throws his arms out and water flies out from him.

He goes down on his knees as water now floats out from him, his hands in his hair. He is breathing heavily, like sobs.

He peers through his fingers, spotting the water from him. He manipulates it with his hands, feeling the power and remembering that he does indeed have a powerful ability. Something that’s going for him. Something he can finally control.

Maybe he can use that ability to his advantage to gain fame.

It’s worth a shot.

@EvelynaKitty
Oh no, I knew it you're gonna put Kaner's fear of snakes in your story!!! Oh my... 8| I had to do TONS of research for AAOOOSC! The Movie with the Sochi scheduling and the events and all that stuff. And I had to do research on the Stanley Cup as well for the upcoming AAOOOSC! story and for AAOOOSC! Playoffs as well. I also had to research about counties for the next AAOOOSC! story after AAOOOSC!: The Mission to give powers to new characters... But yea, it's fun research things you're passionate about! :)
