Just Say Yes

It has been two months since Patrick broke his collar bone. Patrick is trying everything to get better before the playoffs starts. Both Kennedy and Patrick help each other out. Patrick helps Kennedy with morning sickness to be with her while that was happening. Then Kennedy help with things that Patrick still isn’t healthy to do things with his left collarbone. There would be nights where Kennedy and Patrick would head over to Jon and Addison to have dinner with them. Also seeing the twins was always Kennedy’s favorite part of going to see them.
Today is the day that Kennedy’s dad was now moving into his place. Kennedy did help him pick out a place so he won’t be to far to live from the UC and Kennedy’s place. Jon had the day off and so he wanted to help move things for Kennedy’s dad. Patrick was going to join with them but he knows that if he picks up one thing Jon and Kennedy will kick his ass. They were all in the car headed to Brent’s house. Kennedy got a text from Addison.
A: Don’t just pick up the light stuff you dork
K: That happen one time
The last time Kennedy was moving she only would pick up light stuff like pillows or lamps. She couldn’t believe that Addison remembers that.
“Do you know when Addison is coming back to work?” Patrick asks.
“Addison and I talked about that and she’s not coming back till the next season. Since this is the last month of the season and Stan doesn’t need her till July. The twins and I will head back to Winnipeg and mom will help me out then.”
During the move Patrick was hanging out with her dad. Since her dad can’t lift any heavy things. So the movers, Jon and Kennedy did a good job. Kennedy was telling the guys to put things where she thinks her dad would like it. Brent and Patrick were in the kitchen just talking.
“So Kennedy told me that tomorrow is the big day. When you hear your child’s heartbeat you know that you will be a farther soon."
“I know and can’t wait for that."
“Kennedy didn’t told me much about the baby."
“We don’t know either just the due date and that’s it.” Kennedy’s dad nodded his head because Kennedy told him the same way that Patrick said.
“You both will be great parents."
“Thanks.” Everything was ready for Kennedy’s dad to relax in his new place. Jon headed back to his place. Patrick and Kennedy went back to their place to spend a little time with each other. They were in the living room with espn playing in the background.
“So what did you and my dad talked about?” Kennedy was playing with her wedding ring.
“We talk about the baby and he told me that we are going to be great parents.” Patrick reached over and place his hand on her hand to make her stop.
“Is it to early to talk about baby names?"
“It’s never to early to get baby names.” Kennedy went to get her macbook and get a list ready.
“So what do you think what we are having?"
“Boy. What about you?"
“it doesn’t matter to me. If it’s a boy I don’t want to use Patrick please.” Patrick rolled his eyes and nodded his head.
“Thank you.” Kennedy place a kiss on his check and they both got to work on the list. It took them over an hour to get the list. Both of them were tired from todays events that they couldn’t get wait to get into bed.


As they were sitting in the waiting room, Patrick’s leg would not stop bouncing. Kennedy place her hand on his thigh.
“Patrick you know how much I can’t stand that when you do that."
“I know but I’m nervous."
“Why are you nervous? I’m the one caring your child. I should be the one who should be nervous."
“Kennedy and Patrick Dr.Edwards is waiting for you.” The front desk told them that they can go back. Once in the room Kennedy was laying on the table while Patrick was on his phone. Now Kennedy was getting nervous and couldn’t stop playing with her ring.
“I know when you are getting nervous.” Patrick looked up from his phone.
“How?"
“When you play with you ring.” Patrick pointed to where Kennedy’s hands were doing.
“It clams me down and it’s so pretty.” That put a smile on Patrick’s face when she talks about the ring. When Dr.Edwards came in she wanted to know if Kennedy had any questions she had at that moment before they start with the ultrasound. Kennedy did have some normal questions for the doctor.
“Now this will be a little cold when I put this stuff on.” She put the gel on Kennedy’s stomach. Kennedy flinch a little from the cold of the gel and laughed a little inside. Once the ultrasound turn on the only thing that you could hear was the heart beat of their child. There tears coming out of Patrick and Kennedy. Dr.Edwards were pointing out where part of the body on the screen.
“Can you see any of the private parts?"
“No they won’t be developed will July so three more months for you guys to wait. Right now it’s a healthy baby. Have you picked out names yet?"
“Yea we have but I can’t wait any longer. I need to know.” Kennedy pulled down her shirt.
“I had that same feeling with my first child and I just had my third three months ago."
“What are their names?"
“My first one, girl and her name is Emily, Second boy name Jonathan and the third boy again and named him Patrick.” The doctor blushed a little bit.
“My family and I are huge Blackhawk fans. So when I saw that you were waiting for me I couldn’t believe that I’m treating Patrick Kane and his girlfriend. Patrick was honored that someone would name their child after him.
“Do you want me to sign stuff to give to your boys?"
“If you don’t mind. The boys will flip out when they see it.” She grabs an black sheet of paper and a pen.
“Dose your older son play?"
“Jon, yea he plays center just like Jon. Hopefully when Patrick’s older he would take the right wing."

Once they headed back home, Kennedy was on the phone with her dad and then talking to Addison.
“Addison knew that you were wanted to put your name in for the baby name."
“Now why should he think that I would do that?"
“Because you did that to them when they were naming Raylan and Shailene."
“I though it would be funny."
“So should I text Addison that we will name our son Jonathan then.” Patrick rolled his eyes.
“So I take it that’s a no.” Kennedy couldn’t stop laughing at that.

I still can't believe that it's been almost a week since the Blackhawks won the cup. I'm still on cloud nine right now. I'm glad that I am a Blackhawks fan.
