One Shots

Taylor Hall~ Train Crash

Slamming the door Alyssa stormed into the laundry room. Taylor wasn't too far behind her, opening the door and following her footsteps.

"Ally. What is wrong?"

"Really? What is wrong? What is wrong? Um, let me think Taylor... you are what's wrong."

She almost yelled as she opened the washer. Taylor's jaw locked as he leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his chest. Looking at his girlfriend his blood began to boil.

"What the hell does that mean?"

"I don't know Taylor. How about you stop being such an ass all the time."

Alyssa told him as she moved the wet clothes into the dryer. As she grabbed the clothes the fast she would be after every time.

"Come on. I asked you to do one thing and you didn't do it. I can be mad about it if I want to."

"Holy crap. It was one game! There's 81 more where that came from."

"It was the home opener and we lost, Ally."

"So what? Losing is something you should be used to by now."

Taylor had had enough. He grabbed Alyssa's shoulder and pulled him towards him. He pushed her against the wall where he was leaning against seconds before.

"I have had enough of your bull shit, Ally."

"The feeling is mutual."

Taylor let out a yell of frustration and hit the wall above Alyssa's head. She closed her eyes and jumped a bit in fear. She looked up at Taylor and saw the rage that was in his eyes as he looked down at her.

"God. Why have I put up with this shit for two years. All I asked for was for you to come to this game and you couldn't do that. What did you do instead? You went out with Lucy and Tanner."

"At least they don't treat me like shit on the bottom of their shoe. You lost the home opener, who cares? The fans are used to losing anyways, Taylor. Don't act like if I was there it would have made a difference."

Taylor's jaw set and he grinded his teeth together. His hands turned into fists as he looked down at Alyssa. She was still giving him the same smug look she almost alway did. Her arms were crossed as her green eyes looked up at him.

"Stop talking shit about my team. Yeah, we know that we are a sucky team. We hear it every day. I don't need my girlfriend reminding me that fact."

Alyssa let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. She tried to play the 'tough girl' card, but she was slowly losing her battle.

"Go to hell, Hall."

She said then pushed him away from her, then hurried out of the room. Alyssa didn't hear Taylor coming after her, she hurried to the guest room that was down stairs and closed the door behind her. When she was inside the room she didn't turn the light on, Alyssa just threw herself onto the bed. On the bed she let out a cry of her own frustration. Curling herself into a ball she started to think of when her and Taylor weren't at each other's throats every chance they got.

"Oh, my God. Taylor stop."

Alyssa told him as he walked out of the changing room in a French maid costume. Taylor gave her a duck face as he cocked his hip out and put his hand on it. Alyssa covered her face as it turned a deep shade of red. Taylor laughed and walked over to her and she moved away from her, but he grabbed onto her arms, pulling her into him.

"You can not wear this. If you do, you can find yourself a new girlfriend."

"Come on, Ally. It's just going to be the guys."

"But there will be pictures. And pictures are forever. Please get out of that."

Taylor pushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek and looked down at her. She shook her head and tried to push him away, but he pulled her into him and kissed her hard.

"Taylor."

She bagged as she pushed on his chest. Taylor pulled away and kept his grip on her.

"Ally, come on. In public? Bad girl."

Alyssa rolled her eyes and pinched him in the arm. He let go and turned back to the changing room, shaking his hips the best he could as he walked away. Alyssa felt her face got hot as she watched him. As she felt that way she shook her head, trying to get a grip on herself.

"So no cross dressing?"

"Hell no."

She answered, hearing him laugh at her answer. Alyssa looked down at the costume she had in her hands. It was a short green dress, she was going to be Tinkerbell from Peter Pan. It wasn't a mostest length, but she felt that it wasn't slutty. She was just hoping that Taylor would go with the pirate costume, so that he would be Captain Hook.

"What about Captain Hook? Think about it. I think you look sexy in it."

"Oh do you now?"

He asked then the door opened and he walked out dressed in the pirate outfit. Alyssa just stared at him as he walked over to her. She could feel her face getting hot again as he got closer to her, and she was right, he did look sexy dressed as Captain Hook.

"Damn, bae."

She told him as she looked him up and down. He was standing right in front of her and his cocky smile was on his face. Taylor chuckled and took his hooked hand and put it around the collar of her shirt, pulling her into his chest.

"I like this."

He said as he looked down at the plastic hook on his right hand. Alyssa laughed and looked at it as well.

"I think you would have to give up hockey for that."

"Never."

Alyssa rolled her eyes and gave him a small kiss on his cheek.

"This one gets my vote."

"Well, that's all it needs. Winner."

Alyssa laughed and Taylor walked back into the changing room to get back into his street clothes.

"You sir are going to be the death of me."

Alyssa called to him as she smiled to herself, think of how sexy Taylor looked in the costum.

"You think we can use these for role playing?"

Taylor asked from the changing room, to which Alyssa nodded but said 'no' out loud, knowing full well that's what she planned on doing with that.

Alyssa thought of more moments in time that she remembered of her and Taylor, from everything good to when things took a turn of the worst. They had been like this for months and either one of them could tell you why they didn't just left. Alyssa told herself over and over again that they were just in a rut and they could get themselves out of it. But, the months went past and less she believed it.

"Bae. You in there?"

Taylor asked knocking on the door. He heard Alyssa make a noise and opened the door. His eyes made her out on the bed, she had thrown herself onto it like she was some Disney princess. Taylor walked over and sat down at the foot of the bed and just looked at the head of the queen size mattress at Alyssa.

"Bae, I-"

"It's over, Taylor."

"What?"

He asked in a very sound of shock and surprise he could bring to his voice. Alyssa sat up and looked at him. She brought her knees to her chest and looked down the bed at him. His blue eyes were looking for her green ones in the dark and she pushed back the tears.

"We can't do this song and dance forever, Taylor. We both knew deep down at this whole thing was failing months ago. Hell, I'm surprised that we've made it this long. But, we can't lie to ourselves anymore. This thing between us isn't going to get better, we've been like this since New Year's. It's time to just man up and call it quits. I'm sorry, Taylor. One of us had to fly the white flag at some point."

"Ally, we can work through this. I promise you we can."

"No we can't. Taylor, face the facts, it's over. I'm sorry."

She could tell by how Taylor held himself that he wasn't taking it well. Alyssa kicked herself mentally, thinking that she had made the wrong choice, but she knew that she did.

"I'm saving us from more heartache down the road, believe me. I'm sorry things had to end this way, Taylor. I'll call Lucy to see if I can stay the night. I'll come and get my stuff when you're at practice tomorrow."

"Ally..."

She felt him move closer to her on the bed. Holding her breath, she fought back her tears as she felt Taylor right in front of her.

"Don't make this any harder than it needs to be."

"Ally, I can't do this without you."

"You can, Taylor. You made it to the NHL without me, and you can handle it without me, too."

"Just stay the night, please."

Alyssa got up from the bed and hurried to the door, feeling the tears start to run down her face.

"Taylor, stop please."

With that she left the room and pulled out her phone, calling Lucy as quick as she could. It didn't take long for her to pick up and Lucy agreed right away to let her stay the night. Thanking her friend, Alyssa hung up her phone, grabbed her car keys, and left the condo that her and Taylor shared. Lucy said that the door was unlocked and ready for her at any time and Alyssa didn't want to waste anytime. Alyssa left the building as fast as she could and when she drove away she didn't once look back. She knew that whatever her and Taylor had was over and there was no getting back.
