Evidently it was hate on Maddison week. 'Four days...... Four Whole Days' I thought. It had been four days. Four days of what you may ask? Well four days since that whole fiasco happened. Four days since I had spoken to Zack, and I didn't even get to speak with him them. I knew I needed to..... No had to speak to him about Avalon. I also had been putting off talking with Avalon about Zach, but I knew she realized something was going on. Also I hadn't even spoke to Ryan since his little temper tantrum, he had been sleeping in the guest room. It really didn't bug me that I wasn't speaking with Ryan.

But for some reason it was bugging me that I wasn't speaking to Zach. I didn't know why though, I mean I had gone years without speaking or seeing him. But now after seeing him after all this time and now knowing that Avalon was his. Just the thought of not seeing or speaking to him really upset me.

'No he wouldn't do that to me or Avalon, would he? Would he not have anything to do with his own child? Not the Zach I remembered. But than again he may not be the Zach, I remembered. I mean I did just kind of show up and disrupt his life now with the knowledge of another child. I mean if I were him, I would be pretty mad at me'I thought.

"MADDISON JAMES, WHERE ARE YOU?" I heard Ally shout, after entering my house.

Shaking my head to clear my head, I noticed I was sitting at the table picking at my bagel I had made myself. Ryan had taken Avalon to school again, so that had left me to my thoughts again.

"In the kitchen Al," I replied to her.

Taking a drink from my cup of coffee, looking up as I heard Ally's footsteps enter the kitchen. I almost spit my coffee out across the table at her appearance. Her and Travis's son was being held up on her hip. That wasn't the surprise or the shock, it was her actual appearance. Her clothes were all rumpled, her hair was hastily thrown up into a ponytail, and she had dark circles under her eyes like she hadn't been sleeping. I cringed realizing I had been neglecting my friend duties and hadn't spoken to Ally in two weeks.

"Hey Al, how are you?" I asked.

"Why didn't you tell me?" she demanded changing the subject, putting a hand on her free hip.

"Tell you what?" I asked innocently, even though I had a feeling what she was talking about.

"Oh no you don't. You don't get to act like you don't know what I'm talking about. You know exactly what I'm talking about missy. So why didn't you tell me?" she demanded again, setting her son down on the floor this time.

"So everybody knows than?" I asked, still skirting around the issue.

"Oh I don't know Maddison. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. But you want to know the worse part? Hmmmmmm do you? Well I'm going to tell you the worse part, because that's What Friends Do. Did I found out from Zach or even Travis, you may ask. No I didn't, because I may have been alright finding out from them. But no I found out from Alisha. Yeah that's right I found out from Alisha," she said frustratedly, waving her hands wildly in the air. Kinda looking like a maniac.

"What makes you madder Al? The fact I didn't tell you? Or the fact you found out from Alisha?" I sighed.

"That I found out from Alisha," she snapped.

"You know I'm the one that should be mad here, not you. I should be mad that Alisha is going around and spreading mine and Zach's business. I should be mad because my so called best friends kept something from me. That my best friends knew before me and didn't tell me," I said, trying to sound mad, but it came out sound defeated.

"I'm sorry Maddi. We just didn't think it was our business to tell you," her voice broke.

"Great so you all thought I didn't need to know who my daughters father was. You thought it would be best if my daughter just went on without knowing who her father was?" I snapped, now losing my cool.

"Well we thought you would figure it out Mad, I mean it's not hard to tell," she replied.

"Yeah I know. So I heard from my friends," I said, rolling my eyes.

"I'm sorry Mad, I really am." she said.

"Me too. God we really are a pair aren't we?" I asked, wiping at my eyes.

Ally nodded in response as she wiped under her eyes. "So how about we go shopping?" she asked laughing.

"Sure," I responded, standing up.

I told her to give me a few minutes while I ran upstairs to freshen up and get out of my sweatpants. After brushing my teeth and redoing my hair, I put on some light makeup and than got changed. I headed downstairs and grabbed my purse. I locked the front door after Ally, her son and I walked out of the house and to her car. I sat in the passenger seat as she drove towards the mall.

"So how did Zach and Ryan take the news?" she asked.

"I don't know?" I answered, shrugging my shoulders.

"What do you mean? You don't know?" she asked, narrowing her eyes looking at me quickly.

"Exactly that Al, I don't know. I haven't gotten to speak to either one about it. I just got the results the other day. And let's just say things didn't go according to plan," I sighed.

"I'm sorry Mad, what happened?" she asked.

"Well lets see, uhhhh Jordan Parise and their dad showed up at mine and Ryan's house to ask me about it. Obviously Zach had called them and told them the situation," I said.

"Really? I don't think that's why Jordan and their dad was here. But anyways how did that go?" she asked.

"Well I mean I had to explain why Zach didn't know about Ava and...... Wait why don't you think that's why they were here?" I asked suddenly, changing the subject.

"Uh I just heard they were here for another reason," she answered.

"And what would that be?" I asked, turning and raising an eyebrow.

"Uh you'd have to ask Zach about that. But anyways back to what you were saying," she said.

"Right. Anyways yeah so I told their dad and Jordan. Than Ryan came home with Ava and he wasn't to happy with them being in the house. So Ryan and I went outside to talk, which we ended up getting into an argument. Than Zach showed up, while we were outside and that didn't help matters. So I went back inside to get Jordan to go watch them in case there was a fight. But that didn't matter because Zach, Jordan and their father left shortly after that and I haven't talked or heard from Zach since than. And I haven't talked to Ryan either because he's throwing a temper tantrum and staying in the guest room," I said all at once.

"Wow," Ally said in response.

"My sentiments exactly," I said.

After that we ended up at the mall and spent a few hours shopping and than went to lunch. Thankfully Ally didn't bring up the subject of Ryan and Zach again. When Ally dropped me off at home Ryan's truck was sitting in the driveway. I realized I was going to have to deal with my problems and not put them on the back burner anymore.

"Good luck. Call me if you need me," Ally said as I got out.

"Thanks Al," I said as I shut the door.
