"Hello?" Kaylynn answered her phone as she chewed.

"Babe, where are you?" Mack spoke as he walked down the street.

"Home, well, Aaron's." She said as she continued to eat. "Why are you panting?" The line went dead. "Mack?"

There was a knock on the door a second later. Kaylynn furrowed her brows. She set down her granola bar and walked from the kitchen to the front door. She pulled the door open. Mack stood there smiling. Kaylynn tossed her phone onto the carpeted living room and leaped into his arms. He fell backwards on his ass. Her arms and legs were wrapped around him.

I've missed you so much." She told him as he stood up, stilling holding her.

"Not as much as I've missed you, baby." He kissed the side of her head while he carried her inside.

"What are you doing home?" She asked, straddling him as he sat on the couch.

Mack's smile fell a bit but it popped back up as his hands rubbed over her body. "We have a break since we just did midterms and everything." He told her as she held his face.

"God, it's been like two months." She breathed as she rested her forehead on his.

He kissed her slowly. "Is anyone else home?" He whispered on her lips.

She shook her head. "Just you and me."

After they had some fun, Kaylynn checked her phone. The group chat the girls had was going off. She checked while Mack kissed her neck. They were all questioning why Kaylynn was M.I.A. She told them Mack had come home and they all understood. She placed her phone on the side table and rolled into him. He wrapped his arms around her.

"How long are you home for?" She asked as she nuzzled her face into him.

"A couple weeks." He smiled as he held her.

"I'm so glad. I've missed you." She growled. I've missed laying in your arms."

"I've missed seeing you naked." He breathed before kissing behind her ear.

She rolled her eyes as she stood, pulling her blanket with her. "I'm going to shower. You can join me but I'm only going to shower." She pointed her finger at him.

Mack shot up, running across the hall to the bathroom. Kaylynn rolled her eyes once again. She grabbed some towels before she walked over to the bathroom.

Once they were all cleaned up, the pair cuddled up to watch a movie, being joined by Candice and Aaron who had come home. Aaron and Mack talked hockey the entire time. Candice had fallen asleep in Aaron's lap, while Kaylynn typed away to the girls.

Audrey was distracted by Griffin walking downstairs and yelling about Sam and Jack Eichel being too loud. She furrowed her brows at him which got her a dirty look. She rolled her eyes.

"Why are you complaining about noise at five in the evening?" She laughed.

"I'm studying for my test tomorrow." Griffin sighed, dropping down beside her.

She squinted at him. "You aren't on break?"

"Break? No. What would make you think that?" He questioned.

"Mack's home and told Kay he's on break." She explained.

"Mack's lying." He shrugged as he walked upstairs.

Sam stood up and sat down beside Audrey. "Don't get involved." He warned.

"I have to tell her, Sam. I'll just be like 'weird, Griffin doesn't have a break' and she'll catch on." Audrey grinned.

"Don't, Audrey. Let Mack tell her himself." He sighed, kissing the side of her head.

Audrey stared at Sam until he was sitting on the floor next to Jack once again. She composed a new message to Mack on her phone. She asked him if he could meet her at a park that was near both of their homes. He agreed to be there in a half hour. He had planned to leave Kaylynn's then.

The half hour past and Audrey shot up. She squatted down behind Sam, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. He kept playing FIFA while leaning back into her. She smiled at him as he did so.

"I'm gonna head out." She explained, kissing the side of his face.

"Want me to walk you out?" He asked.

"No, keep playing. Have fun." She kissed him.

"Okay, love you. See you tomorrow." He said, kissing her again.

"Love you too." She stood up. "See ya, Jack." She waved as she walked to the stairs.

Audrey walked to the park with her headphones in her ears. She could see the swings as she rounded a corner and Mack was swinging on one. She shook her head. She walked up to the park and Mack jumped off the swing as he saw her. He stumbled but came to a stop just a bit in front of her. She laughed.

"Hey!" He cheered as he pulled her into a hug. "How are you, Mrs. Reinhart?" He teased as he hugged her.

She laughed as she hugged him back. "I'm good." She breathed, pulling back. "But you aren't."

"What?" Mack's brows furrowed.

"Why are you home?" She crossed her arms. "Griffin isn't off right now so there's no reason you should be."

Mack shook his head. "It's different. I go to school in Alb,"

"It's not different, Mack. Don't lie to me." She hissed.

Mack's face twisted before he turned away. Audrey exhaled. She waited for Mack to turn back around before she saw the shake of his shoulders. He was crying. Mack was crying in front of her. She forced him to turn to her.

"It got so fucking hard and I was so fucking home sick. I just dropped out." He explained.

Audrey frowned, pulling him into a hug. "Promise you won't get mad at what is about to happen?"

Mack nodded before he heard footsteps. He pulled away from Audrey and looked past her. Kaylynn was walking towards them. Mack looked at Audrey slowly. Audrey took a deep breath.

"I texted her when I got here. She needs to know." Audrey whispered as Kaylynn came up behind them.

"Are you okay?" Kaylynn gasped as she grabbed Mack's face.

He pulled away from her. "I don't deserve you being kind right now." He said as he grabbed her hands.

"Mack, what's going on?" She frowned.

Mack looked past her as Audrey walked down the path to the street. "I lied to you."

"About what?" Kaylynn hummed as she rubbed his arms.

"I'm not on a break." He took a shaky breath. "I dropped out."

She dropped her hands. "Why would you keep that from me?"

"I'm not ready! I wasn't ready when I left to be away from you and everyone back here!" He cried. "I was scared and I felt weak and I'm supposed to be your rock."

Kaylynn shook her head, wrapping her arms around Mack. "There's nothing wrong with being scared and needing someone." She spoke calmly.

He exhaled. "I need to remember that." He said as he hugged her.

She pulled back. "I need to go home and just have time to myself." She explained.

"You're mad at me." He growled.

"You lied, Mack." She crossed her arms. He nodded. "We'll talk tomorrow." She pecked his lips before she walked away.

He followed behind her, standing on the corner of her street to make sure she got home safe. She walked into her house without waving to him. He sighed before he walked home. He needed to get his shit in order.
