“It’s been a while.” Morgan hummed when he actually got Taylor on the phone.

“I guess I couldn’t stay mad forever, as much as I tried.” She teased. “But hearing you say that kinda gets me worked up again.”

He sighed. “I just called to talk to you, Tay. Get me caught up on everything going on.”

She rolled her eyes. “Ask someone else.”

“Taylor, honestly? We haven’t talked in weeks and I miss you, for fuck sakes! Just talk to me!” He exclaimed.

She let out a breath. “I have something to tell you.”

“Yes, anything.” He sat up, hearing she was actually willing to talk.

“I did something kinda big, that’s gonna affect our relationship.” She bit her lip.

“What is it?” He was nervous.

“I looked into schools closer to you,” She cleared her throat. “Like, high schools. I start at one next week.”

“You’re moving out to be with me?” He smiled.

“I was hoping to move in with you.” She admitted.

“Yes, of course. A thousand times, yes.” He blurted. “I’ll come get you and help you move whatever you need. Are your parents cool with it?”

“Yeah, they love you and they’re fine as long as I’m getting an education.” She told him. “I could feel this straining whatever we are and I didn’t like it, and I’m willing to make this sacrifice.”

“‘Whatever we are?’ Babe, we’re together. We’re in a relationship. Don’t doubt that.” He explained. “You mean everything to me. I know I can be a dick b,”

“Stop. You’re fine.” She argued. “I have to go but I’ll actually keep in touch, okay?”

“Please do.” He chuckled.

Morgan came down that weekend and helped Taylor move all her things. She said goodbye to her parents and Chris, and left. Just like that. She didn’t tell anyone. None of her friends or anyone on the team had any idea she was leaving them. Not that she and the girls had kept in touch much anyways. But, after three days of her not being in class, they got worried.

Danielle was the one who noticed first. She had her first period with Taylor, who hadn’t been there. Seeing as her dad was a teacher, she hardly missed school. Dani found it odd but thought nothing of it, since it was just one day. Taylor could’ve been sick.

The second day, Holiday was the one bothered by it. Her and Taylor got lunch together every Tuesday, and she was no where to be found. Holiday texted her, seeing where she was, but it didn’t deliver. She pouted her entire lunch, sitting at a table beside Andre with all his annoying friends was not how she planned to spend her lunch.

By the third day, all the girls had noticed. Even Kylee had, and she didn’t even really know Taylor. Kylee was the one who suggested they questioned the baby Trouba. Christ looked scared when this mob of teenage girls came towards him. What freshman boy in his right mind would be afraid of that? Kaylynn gave him a sweet smile as she sat in front of him.

“Hi, Christopher, how are you today?” She sang.

“I’m okay.” He said in a nervous tone.

“Where the fuck is your sister?” Audrey spat.

“Why?” He furrowed his brows as he chugged back his pop. “Are you about to jump her or something?”

“What? No.” Candice rolled her eyes. “She hasn’t been at school in three days and none of us have heard from her for weeks.”

“Oh, she moved in with Morgan.” He shrugged.

“What the fuck?” Holiday gasped.

“When did this happen?” Danielle questioned. “Did she just drop out of high school?”

He shook his head. “No, she enrolled in a school there. She left on like Saturday.”

“And she didn’t even mention it?” Danielle said under her breath,

“She moved there to keep their relationship strong.” Chris laughed as he stood up. “They’ll be broken up in a week.”

The girls watched Chris as he walked out of the cafeteria. Once he was out of view, they looked at each other. Holiday just shrugged while Audrey shook her head. They all sat down to eat their lunches. Some people did the most.

“So practices start next week.” Audrey cheered. “My dad was telling me all the new shit he has planned.”

“I’m still really upset that we lost in Provincials.” Holiday frowned.

“Well, now you have Eric in net so I mean.” Kylee shrugged, a grin on her face.

“Do you really think Dustin’ll make him starter his first year?” Candice questioned.

“Hey, who knows. That man has done crazier things.” Audrey said as she chewed.

“Like what?” Dani rolled her eyes.

“Like having five kids.” Audrey stated.
