Audrey stared at her dad in disbelief. What he just said to her had to be a sick joke. A really messed up, sick joke. She looked slowly over to her mom. Nicole had her head down, avoiding eye contact with her daughter. That's when she figured out it was for real. Her parents wanted her to stay away from her boyfriend while the stupid documentary was being made. She was pissed.

"You can't be fucking serious." She spat.

"Aud, it's only for a bit." Nicole sighed.

"You literally came upstairs and talked to me about how I don't like being away from him to be dad's little spy." Audrey hissed.

"Honey, no! I wanted to kn,"

"Save it." Audrey cut her mom off. "I'm not doing it."

"Yes, you are." Dustin said in a stern tone.

"Why should I?" Audrey crossed her arms. "Ever since I was old enough to remember, I've always gotten shafted and now you're trying to take my boyfriend away from me!"

"Audrey, it's for one Goddamn week! He can stay here, just not in your room! No one is taking him away from you!" Dustin hollered. "I just need you and him to not act like you're together. That will look like I'm favouriting him."

"Fine! Do whatever! I'm not being a part of this stupid fucking documentary!" She screamed before walking upstairs.

She slammed her bedroom door shut. Sam looked over at her from her bed. The yelling had woken her up from her nap. She dropped onto the bed, her back to him. She had her arms crossed and an angry expression. He let out a sigh as he sat up and scooted over to her. He sat behind her, pulling her back so his head was in her lap. She glared up at him.

"What's going on?" He asked, playing with her hair.

"My dad doesn't want us to be together during the stupid documentary thing. Like, he's not making us break up, he's just moving you down to the basement and not letting us act all couple like while there's cameras." She explained.

"Did he tell you why?"

"He doesn't want it to seem like he's favouriting you because you're my boyfriend. It's not like he does anyway, why would they think that?" She growled.

Sam stayed silent. He didn't want to get Audrey more worked up. He couldn't admit to her that he understood where her dad was coming from. He knew that cameras would feed off Sam living there and dating the coach's daughter. It would be bad for Dustin and Sam. Audrey noted the silence.

"What are you thinking, Samson?" She groaned, sitting up and turning to face him.

He frowned. "I get it." He stated. Her brows raised. "I get what your dad is saying. I don't want cameras to see that I'm living with my coach and that I'm dating his daughter because that just makes it look like I have an up compared to the rest of the team. I want this documentary to show that I have the raw talent, not the hook up."

"Oh, so I'm just your 'hook up'?" She snapped.

"Audrey, for fuck sakes, this isn't about you!" He yelled. "Stop thinking this is some kind of personal attack and realize this is about your dad!"

"Everything is about my dad!"

"Don't act like your parents haven't given you everything you've ever asked for." He hummed. He took her hands in his. "I love you, but you're making this out to be a problem when it isn't. I'll sleep in the basement, we can still have time together. The cameras aren't gonna follow us outside the house or the rink, babe."

She rolled her eyes. "You sounded like Mandy at first there." She teased.

"Hey, you are spoiled, but you're not a brat. So don't act like one when your dad asks tiny favours from you, alright?" He smiled, moving his hands to her thighs and giving them a squeeze.

She sighed, leaning forward so she was resting on his chest. "I just don't want to be away from you." She whined as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Only a week, baby." He whispered, kissing her head.

The cameras came the next day. Dustin already helped Sam move all his belongings to the room downstairs. He instructed Sam to make it look lived in before the crew came. Sam did the best he could.

Audrey got ready that morning with a frown on her face. The second she opened her bedroom door, she put on her best fake smile. She had to pretend she wasn't the most miserable person in the house. She walked downstairs and saw Sam sitting next to her spot with a bowl of cereal. He looked so cute. She walked over and slid in next to him. She made sure no cameras were on them.

"You're so lucky these cameras are here or I'd make you take me upstairs right now." She whispered with a smile as she reached for cereal.

"I woke up with morning wood and had no one to take care of it." He said as he chewed.

Audrey let out a growl while Sam chuckled. Nicole was feeding the younger kids and making their lunches. The cameras were on her. Sam and Audrey decided to keep it safe as they ate their breakfast. They made small talk as if they had been friends for years.

"So tell us, what's it like living with the Brown family?" A producer asked Sam as a camera came over.

"Uh, it's really great. Nicole and Dustin have been nothing but good to me. They're the nicest family." Sam grinned.

"Does everyone get along?" The producer suggested.

"Yeah, we love Sammy!" Cooper called from across the island.

"What about you two?" The producer gestured between Sam and Audrey.

They looked at each other. Both fought smiles. Audrey made a face and shrugged. Sam did a kind of shrug. Nicole smirked in the distance.

"We're usually good." Audrey spoke. "A few disagreements here and there but," She shrugged and took a sip of juice.

"Yeah, we actually spend a lot of time together. Besides the classes we have together, and obviously living together, we share the same friends and even carpool sometimes." Sam explained.

"Do you two ever try to date each other's friends?" The producer chuckled.

"All of Sam's friends are on the team and I'm not allowed to date teammates." Audrey stated.

"And Audrey's friends are all dating my teammates." Sam added.

"Was there ever any worry from Dustin about you two getting together?"

Nicole dropped something, causing a lot of noise. She let out a sound of pain so Audrey went to see. Sam watched as Audrey tended to her mom before he looked back to the camera.

"I don't think there's much to worry about with Audrey and I. We both like the stage our relationship is at now." Sam smiled.

Audrey held back a smile as she helped her mom with her cut finger. Sam was smooth. He came over and sat his and Audrey's dishes in the sink. He smiled above her. Her breathing hitched. This was so difficult.

"Do you wanna head out now, Aud? Unless you wanna take your own car." Sam questioned.

She shook her head. "As long as you're willing to drive me home after."

"I have practice so."

"I know. I meant after that." She rolled her eyes.

"Oh, yeah, of course." He smiled.

She nodded and turned back to her mom. "Bye, see you later." She kissed her cheek. "Bye brats." She said, ruffling Mason's hair.

Sam followed her out to his car. She eyed him through the window, waiting for him to unlock it. He did and they both climbed in. Audrey placed her bag in the backseat. They both buckled up.

"Why are we leaving for school a half hour early?" She asked as he backed out of the driveway.

"So we can fool around in the back seat until the bell rings." He said, looking into his rear view mirror as he did.

"God, I am so in love with you." Audrey laughed as he backed into the street.
