Mack's eyes shot open. They shot back closed when he realized how bright his room was. He let out a groan, rolling over. He pulled his blanket over his head. Last night was bad. He had drank an entire forty of whiskey. Was he trying to kill himself? He didn't know what ran through his mind when he did. Until he heard a female clear her voice as his door opened. He remembered after that. He slowly pulled the blankets down.

There she was. Kaylynn was walking over to his side, a glass of water in one hand and a cup of tea in the other. She set the glass on the table. Her hair was tossed up. She was in one of his sweaters and a pair of tights. He smiled. She was wearing his sweater. He sat up slowly. She looked down at him. She gave him a small smile, extending her hand to his hair. She stroked it out of his face. Her hand ran down the back of his head and rested it on the side of his face.

"How are you feeling?" She breathed, rubbing his cheek with her thumb.

"I've been better." He chuckled. "Did you spend the night?"

She nodded, pulling her hand away from his face. "I wouldn't have left you alone with how you were last night, Mack." She said, sitting on the edge of his bed and sipping her tea.

He sighed. "I'm sorry for being an asshole. I miss you."

"I miss you too, Mack." She huffed. "But it upset me how wrongly you treated me and how you thought it was okay."

"I didn't think it was okay, I just didn't know how to change my ways." He confessed.

"Why did you want to hurt Sam so badly? You knew he wasn't the reason we split." She frowned.

"The thought of someone else touching you made me sick to my stomach, I didn't know what else to do. I wanted to destroy him." He admitted, looking down.

Kaylynn leaned forward, setting her mug down then grabbing his face. He looked into her eyes. She looked back before pressing her lips to his. He held her waist as they kissed. He smiled into it. She smiled in return. He tugged on her bottom lip as she pulled back. She pressed her forehead to his, holding his face.

“No matter how many times we walk away from each other, finding you again will always be on my mind.” She whispered to him.

"All I've ever wanted to be your first and last love but I know that isn't possible." He pouted.

"No, it's definitely possible. I can't imagine anyone else I would ever want to be with more than you, Mack. There will never be anyone I want to be with more than you." She reassured him.

He just smiled and kissed her again. "Come to our next game. Wear my jersey." He said, pecking her lips.

She nodded. "Of course, but you need to go to school. Figure your life out."

"You're my life, Kay. I've got it figured out." He grinned.

The week went by fast. Mack was enrolled in Fairview once again. He and Kaylynn were good. Mack was good with everyone. He made sure to apologize to Sam. Sam had no hard feelings towards it. He'd have acted the same way in Mack's position. Thursday was game day. And Thursday had arrived. The next day was a P.A. Day, meaning a party would be thrown if the team pulled out a win. The game could go either way.

The Falcons were lucky enough to have it go their way. They had been down two goals for the entire game. In the last ten minutes of it, Val managed to score a goal off a rebound from one of Jo's shots. Josh Ho-Sang got the tying goal. Noah scored the winner with three seconds left in overtime. They were all still pretty hard on themselves. Sure, they won, but they hadn't played the kind of game they wanted to. Audrey felt bad for them. She decided a party would help cheer them up.

"Hey, dad." She called, walking over to him near the change room with her friends following behind.

"Yeah?" He asked, reading over the scoresheet.

"Can I have a party tonight for the boys?" She smiled at him.

His eyes lifted from the paper. "Are you passing all your classes?"

"Yes."

"Have you been going to your classes?"

"Yes."

"Have you asked your mom?"

"She'll just tell me to ask you." She rolled her eyes. "Please, dad?"

He sighed. "Yeah, alright."

She grinned, kissing his cheek. "You're the best." She pushed open the change room door, covering her eyes as she walked in. "Party at my house tonight! Please come! Okay, goodbye!" She turned around, walking back to the door.

Hands grabbed onto her waist before she was pulled into someone, their arms wrapping around her. Lips pressed to her neck and she smiled. It was Sam. She turned to face him, opening her eyes as she grabbed his face. He pressed his lips to hers. She smiled through it. They broke apart and her hand rested on the back of his neck. His hair was wet from his shower.

"Want me to help you set up and shop for tonight?" He asked, playing with the hem of her sweater.

"Don't you want to nap before the party?" She frowned, playing with his hair.

He shook his head. "I'll come help you." He said, pecking her lips.

"Love you." She chimed before kissing him.

"Love you too." He replied as she walked out of the room.
