Audrey's brows furrowed when she opened her front door. "Sam?"

"Hey." He bit his lip. "I'm, uh, heading out to see my mom before she starts treatment. I just wanted to come let you know in person and say goodbye."

"Goodbye?" Her face softened.

"Well, see you later." He chuckled, stepping inside. "I just wanted to see you before I left."

She felt her stomach flip. "What about those g,"

"They're just girls, Audrey. They aren't you." He cut her off. "No one is ever gonna mean more to me than you."

"Then why did you try to hurt me with them?" She tried to keep her voice stern, but it wasn't working.

"Because I'm fucked up." He sighed, sitting on the step that led down to the main room. "I wanted someone to feel the pain I was feeling."

She growled and sat next to him. "It sucked seeing you with some other girl." She admitted, leaning her head against him.

He sat his on top of hers. "You didn't act like it."

"I don't show my weakness." She joked. "I've really missed you, Sam."

"I've missed you too. I promise I'll make all of this up to you when I come home. I'm just,"

"No, Sam," She sat up. "Yeah, you've sucked lately but what's happening to you sucks. We can figure it out when you're better." She squeezed his bicep. "I'm in this with you."

"Audrey, you can't just brush off how I treated you. It wasn't right." He shook his head at himself.

"It wasn't, but I forgive you and I'm over it." She looked into his eyes.

He let out a long breath. "I wish you were coming to Vancouver with me. I don't think I can handle this on my own."

"Your family will all be with you." She smiled. "And Theresa is a tough bitch. She's gonna get through this." She nudged him.

Sam grabbed Audrey's chin and pressed his lips to hers. They broke apart slowly.

"I really do love you, Aud. Thank you for not abandoning me because of how I've been acting."

"I could never abandon you, Sammy. You're my world." She smiled, pressing her forehead to his.

"It's so nice hearing your voice say that over those other girls." He smirked.

"I'll fucking kill them. No one else calls you Sammy." She spat.

"Did Nathan have any nicknames for you?" He cocked a brow.

She rolled her eyes. "He's just a really good friend that's willing to listen to me cry." She told him. "About you. He was just there to convince me you and I were actually okay."

He grinned a bit. "Kiss me again."

She did as she was asked. They made out for a bit, right where they were sitting. Sam explained to her that Michael had dropped him off here and he was hoping she'd take him to the airport. She didn't argue at all. The drive was peaceful. They had figured out where they were and it was helping both of them.

They got to the airport and Audrey went inside with him. She went through security and everything just to stay with him until his flight was called. They sat in the seats together. Audrey held onto Sam's arm the entire time, resting her head on his shoulder. He showed her funny things on Twitter which made her smile.

His flight was called and that was it. They both stood. She took a deep breath and his arms wrapped around her waist. She hugged his neck. He lifted her from the ground. She smiled and he kissed her, still holding her.

"I love you." He breathed. "I'm calling you anytime something shitty happens."

She nodded. "Please do. I'll be waiting for your calls." He cocked a brow. "I love you too. Please text me when you land."

He nodded then kissed her again. She waved to him as he walked out of her view. She took a deep breath and walked back to her car. She sat in her car, typing away to the girls. Things were good with her and Sam again. She typed a separate message to Nathan. She needed everyone to know. Sam sent her a text saying he loved her and was about to take off. She told him to be safe and that she loved him as well.

That night, Audrey stayed up until Sam texted her. It was a lot later where she was. They facetimed for a bit as well. Griffin was a part of it also. When Sam hung up, he had to explain what was going on with him and Audrey. Griffin called him an idiot for ever breaking up with her before he left his room. Sam went downstairs where his parents were laying on the couch. He sat down and Mojo hopped onto his lap.

"Griffin told us you were just on FaceTime with Audrey. Why didn't you bring her down?" Theresa asked, slowly sitting up.

Sam shrugged. "You were half asleep earlier, mom. I didn't wanna bug you."

"Call her back. Audrey's my girl." She smacked his leg.

"Well, she has to be one Reinhart's girl." Griffin mumbled as he walked to the stairs.

"What does he mean?" Theresa narrowed her eyes at her youngest son.

"Nothing. Do you want me to call her?" Sam tried to change the subject.

"Samson, answer me." She said sternly.

"I broke up with her a little while after I found out about you being sick." He sighed. "I was just upset and I didn't want to bring her down."

Theresa frowned. "But you're still on good terms?"

"I still love her with all my heart." He smiled a bit.

She smiled. "Call her."

So he did as he was told. He told Audrey someone wanted to talk to her, then handed the phone to his mom. Both females lit up when they saw each other. They could always talk up a storm. Paul looked past his wife at his son. They both rolled their eyes at the gawking women. But Sam secretly loved it. He loved that his mom loved Audrey as much as he did. Well, maybe a little less than he did.

Audrey wanted to cry seeing Theresa. She looked sick. She wasn't the same at all. She would have coughing fits and Paul would rub her back. The one time, it got so bad that Sam just took the phone from his mom. He apologized to Audrey and hung up. She understood why. That made her cry. She texted Griffin right away. He gave up on that and called her.

"Are you crying?" He chuckled.

"I'm flying out to be with you guys, Griff." She breathed. "I can't sit at home when your m,"

"You don't have to explain it to me, Audrey. You're part of our family." He cut her off. "I'll get you from the airport. Just let me know all the details."

"Thank you, so much." She sighed, reaching for her laptop. "We all need a little Audrey right now." He tried to cheer her up.

She just smiled. She asked her parents and they told her to go ahead. Then she called the girls to come over so she could tell them. She needed their support, and help with packing. She didn't have much planned, she just wanted them there while she prepared. They all rushed over. She made it seem urgent. When she told him, she got mixed responses.

"Why?" Kylee furrowed her brows.

"He's treated you like shit the last two weeks." Kaylynn shook her head.

"He's had a lot of shit going on." Dana defended.

"Aaron told me it's really bad." Candice frowned, sitting on her bed.

"If she wants to go, let her. It doesn't affect us." Holiday shrugged.

"I think it's really fucking drastic." Dani spat. "It's not romantic that you're chasing some guy that's been treating you like dirt because he's having a r,"

"His mom has fucking cancer, Danielle." Audrey cut her off. "He came over to apologize today because he knows what he's been doing is fucked."

"Audrey, I didn't know." Dani frowned.

"And you couldn't trust me enough to just let me go with him." Audrey smacked her hands onto her thighs. "I'm doing this for Theresa and to be there for the family. It's not even about Sam."

"Then let's stop fighting and packing." Kaylynn piped in.

"Yeah, if she's gone for break, let's make the most of the night we have together." Dana smiled.
