Prove Me Wrong.

'Kieran's POV'

For our last day in Mexico Jamie and I decided to go sightseeing, giving our skin a rest from the suns beating rays as Tyler and Cody rented Jet Skis and the other couple went to the spa. Strolling through the bustling streets of Playa Del Carmen I enjoyed my dwindling moments of private time with Jamie. Now that everything was out to the public about our relationship going out in Dallas was more of a hassle. Being here we were free to just be us, he wasn't Jamie Benn the Stars captain and I wasn't "the distraction" as some people were calling me. Here in Mexico we were just two young people being happy, being in love.

Holding his hand as we walked and looked at all of the Hispanic crafts and clothes, mariachi music playing through the streets. I stopped at one vendor who was selling sombreros, picking one up I placed it on my head "How do I look?" Jamie laughed and pulled his phone out, I made a funny face holding the sombrero strings as he snapped a picture, "You look like a dork, but you're my dork." Taking the sombrero off I spoke to the vendor, purchasing the sombrero for my dad. With the strings around my neck and the sombrero resting on my shoulders we continued to shop, I bought bracelets with Candace and Cassidy's names weaved in them, a necklace for my mom and Lauren, and a shot glass for Kilian. Throwing all of my purchases into my backpack as we went, at the end of the street was a man selling coconuts. Coconut water is one of my favorite drinks and the fresher the better, so my eyes lit up when I saw his cart.

'Jamie's POV'

One of my favorite things about Kieran is that she's simple, she's easily entertained shopping for souvenirs in the streets of Mexico was fun to her. I watched as she spoke Spanish to all of the vendors, looking gorgeous even with a dorky sombrero resting on her shoulders. Her blue eyes lit up when she saw a coconut stand at the end of the street, I knew she drank a lot of coconut water back home, all different brands and she loved it all but I was skeptical of drinking out a real coconut. She quickly pulled me over to the stand, "Do you want one?" she asked, and I shook my head no, I wasn’t that brave. I had tried it out of a bottle but I wasn’t ready for straight out of the shell.

Letting go of my hand she walked over to the cart smiling at the older man, "hola, un coco por favor?" she asked. The man nodded and reached into a cooler pulling out the large green fruit, taking what looked to be a machete he cut off the top and handed it to Kieran. She gave him a few Pesos, and slid a pink straw into the coconut, "Gracias senor" she spoke sweetly as she walked away. Walking back towards me a smile on her face holding the giant coconut with both hands she stood in front of me taking a drink, "What? It's good" she said as she bit down on the straw with her perfect teeth. I shook my head, "Nothing Senorita, I'm just watching you be multi-cultural."

She giggled, God that was a laugh I wanted to hear all day long, "I'm just full of surprises babe. I may be as white as a sheet but I can speak Spanish and a little Greek." Great she speaks Greek too? We started walking again back towards the resort, "So you speak Greek too?" Throwing the empty coconut into a trash can, "ligo" she said, "My mom's side is Greek, and her Grandpa and mine taught me the basics."

Lacing my fingers back with hers as we walked I spun her in a circle making her land in my chest, "Ever been to Greece?" She shook her head no, "Me neither, I guess we'll have to go together." Pulling her lip between her teeth Kieran removed the sunglasses from her face, following suit I looked into her bright blue eyes, "Thank you, for all of this Jamie, it's been perfect" tilting her head up to kiss me softly, "Anytime babe, I love you." Kissing her once more before leaning my forehead against hers as we stood on the street. After a moment of silence Kieran pulled away, "Come on Jame, we gotta get ready for dinner."

'Kieran's POV'

Our last night we made reservations at the Resort's beachfront restaurant for all 6 of us. Tyler and Cody, both burnt to a crisp told stories of their day on the jet skis trying to impress girls who barely spoke English. Jess and Jordie had gone to the spa and spent the rest of the day at the beach. Everyone was relaxed and not ready to head back to Texas in the morning, the guys would have less than 24 hours in the lone star state before jetting off to Canada for a 3 game series. As dinner wound down Tyler and Cody ran off for one last night at the resorts club, while Jess and Jordie took off down the beach. As the sun began to sink, I placed my hand on Jamie's knee rubbing my thumb over his kneecap. He looked over to me, "Wanna go for a walk?" He read my mind, nodding yes we got up from the table.

Slipping my feet out of my black wedges I held them in one hand and laced my other hand with Jamie's as we went the opposite way of Jamie and Jess. The sky went through different shades of pink and orange as we walked, no talking just the two of us the breeze blowing my red curls behind me. Jamie's calloused thumb rubbing shapes on my knuckles made me look over at him, how did I get so lucky? One of these days I should probably thank Tyler for being a pain in my ass and bringing Jamie and I together.

"You're staring Kier," Oops, I thought to myself biting down on my lower lip as we stopped walking, I dropped my shoes in the sand. "Sorry," With his hands resting on my hips Jamie looked at me with a serious face, "What were you thinking about?" Running one hand through my hair to keep it at bay, I placed the other on the right side of Jamie's face running my thumb over the scar beneath his eye. "Just that I should probably thank Ty one of these days," "For what?" he asked, "For you, if he wasn’t such a pain in my ass I would have never met you. And maybe I should thank Cody too for spilling your little secret."

The last part made him laugh, now it was funny that Cody spilled that Jamie thought I was hot, but 4 months ago he wanted to kill him. "You know I still think you're pretty hot," Hovering my lips over his as I spoke, "Yeah, I think you're pretty sexy too babe." I smashed my lips into his as the waves crashed behind us, and it was in that moment I knew that no one else would ever compare to Jamie Benn. He was it.
