You're My Favorite Mistake

Chapter One-

Allison's POV:

I pushed my hair back behind my ear and sighed. If there was one thing I hated, it was the drive from Philly to Pittsburgh. Five long hours just to have shitty memories come flooding back to me as the 'Welcome to Pittsburgh' sign came into view. Max had offered to see if I could ride with the team, but I knew this was something I had to do.

Atleast Mel would be at the arena waiting for me. Apparently she and Sidney remained friends even though they broke up and she would even hang out with them. The last I heard, James had moved Jennifer in with him and that was the last I even wanted to hear. Mel was kind enough to oblige and she didn't mention him again. "Allison!!" Mel squealed running up to me as I walked up to the arena.

I hugged her tight. I hadn't seen her in five months, since she moved back to Pittsburgh. Mel wasn't happy in Philly so she headed back to Pitt. "Hey! How's everything?" I asked smiling

"Great! Just great. Let's go find our seats." she said, grabbing me by the hand as we headed into the arena. It was pretty much the same, other than the new Jarome Iginla posters that were now hanging in the halls.

I sat down in my seat and sighed. "This place hasn't changed at all."

"They don't change the arenas much..."Melanie replied with a laugh

I smiled and looked around, "I'm going to go get a drink...you want anything?"

Mel shook her head, "No...but you better wave down to your man...he's been waving like a crazy person since we got to our seats."

I laughed and turned towards the ice seeing Max and giving him a wave. He smiled and blew me a kiss. I smiled back and headed to the concessions stand.

James' POV:

Leave was it to me to have a broken wrist the first home meeting against Philly. Jen wanted me to stay at home with her and Nolan, but Coach has a strict policy on being at all home games. Injured or not. Luckily for me, Jen was OK with it after I got Geno's friend Anya to stay with her.

I sighed as I got up from my seat, "Vero, I'm going to go get some nachos...do you or Estelle need anything?" I asked Flower's wife.

"No thanks, James." Vero smiled

I got up and headed down to the concessions. Flyers' fans giving me dirty looks and making comments. I just rolled my eyes and kept walking. Injuries sucked...they sucked even more when your team was playing your rival.

My phone started beeping, so I pulled it out of my pocket. Jenny...as usual...I sighed and started to type a quick reply. Before I could hit the send button, I bumped into someone and their drink spilt all over me. "Fuck...I'm so sorry. Let me buy you a..." I stopped dead sentance as I looked up at the face that was now glaring at me..."Allison..." I stammered

"James." she replied, looking away

"I'm so sorry...let me buy you a new soda." I replied

"Forget it, James. I don't need anything from you." she snapped

I looked down. I may have deserved her hostility, but then again...I could hardly remember what went wrong with us. "Allison..." I started

"I said it's fine James. Bye." she replied, walking off towards the bathroom

I sighed and got in line to get my nachos. Part of me wanted to run after her, but the other half knew that following her would not be a good idea. She hated me and I knew it...
