James' POV:

I was so fricken pissed at Sid. He had invited her and no one fucking told me! I was just sitting there enjoying my Smirnoff and she walked in, arm and arm with that dick Max Talbot. I just blinked at her as she and Max headed into the changing room together..."What the fuck, Sid?!" I whispered angerily

"What?" he asked looking towards me, like he had done nothing wrong.

"You fucking invited them and didn't tell me?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to ask you if I could invite my friends to my party." Sid snapped

My mouth dropped, "Seriously?"

"Guys..." Kuni started, stepping in-between us.

"Yeah, James. Allison and Max are my friends whether you like it or not. If you have a fucking problem with that, you can leave, because I am fed up with you being a whiny bitch pver it. She is with Max now, not you. You're with Jen. So stop fbeing a fucking asshole and get the fuck over it and her because we're all sick and tired of it!!!"Sid snapped

I couldn't believe what I has just heard. Honestly, I was hurt. I shook my head and started heading outside, Sidlooked down and got up, "James, wait..." he called, but I just kept walking outside.

"I'll go talk to him." I heard Vero say, following me outside. I sat down on the porch and Vero came up, sitting beside me. "Hey...you okay?"

I shook my head, "Not really. I feel like all my friends have just betrayed me."

"James...you know Sid didn't mean..." she started

"Then what did he mean, Vero? It's the truth. She is with him and I can't fucking handle it." I interrupted starting to cry. She put her hand on mine and nodded for me to continue, "I just...I honestly love her, but I had been growing through a rough time and Jen...Jen is just...I don't know. When Allison cheated on me with Geno the first time, I just felt lost. I didn't know what else to do...and things just fell apart and yeah I'm not over it. I was hurt by her and he's acting like I did it. Like she got with Max because I did something wrong..."I couldn't continue speaking because I just started sobbing. The alcohol mixed with the stress and emotions just got to me.

Vero hugged me, "I understand, James. I know that you didn't do anything. T think that the guys just care about you a lot and they want you to be happy. They know you're happy with Jen, but they also feel like you can't fully move on cause you're stuck on Allison being with Maxime. I know it's hard, but she is with him...I'm sorry them being here was just sprung on you like this, but don't leave, please?"

I just nodded, "I'll stay. For you. Not them."

Vero nodded and rubbed my back, "Okay. Let's go." I followed her back to the pool and she went and sat by Flower. Max and Allison were still in the changing room...

"James, I'm sorry..." Sid started

"It's fine." I snapped back, before Sid could reply to me, Max and Allison came out and the conversation about it ended...THANK-GOD.

Allison's POV:

I looked over at James, who was downing another bottle of Smirnoff. He was obviously upset and it was all my fault. "So, Allison, how have you been?" Kuni asked. I could tell he was just trying to stop the silence.

I smiled at him, "I've been good. How are Maureen and the kids?"

"They're great! The kids are getting so big. Zach starts Kindergarten in the Fall." he smiled

"Wow that's awesome!" I replied

"Oh yeah. It's the best. Being a father is the greatest gift a man could ever get."

I looked over at James, who was not even looking in my direction. He had been looking down the whole time, I looked away from him and turned to Sid, "Where's Mealnie?"

"She be here soon." Geno replied. I just nodded. I couldn't wait for her to get there. The awkward silences and small talks were killing me.

Lucky for all of us, Melanie arrived moments later. I hopped in the pool with her, Max, Geno and Flower and we all started messing around. Sid hopped in and joined us. It was a lot of fun being around the guys again. Not that the Flyers weren't fun...I mean Briere and Giroux were hilarious and Bryz was always on some tangent about something. I had just missed the Pens.

I looked over at James, notcing him look at me, but when our eyes met, he looked away. I sighed and continued messing around with the others. I wasn't going to let thoughts of James ruin my night.

An hour or so had past and everyone was pretty much out of the pool, relaxing with a beer or vodka. Just talking and having a great time with some great friends. Max and Flower were off talking in French and Mel was braiding my hair as we chit-chatted.

"So anways, where are you and Max staying?" Mel asked

"I don't know yet." I replied

"You guys can stay here." Sid offered

"I don't know about that, Sid..."

"I insist. Stay." he replied, making it final.

"Alright. We'll stay." I laughed

"Yes!" Max cheered jumping up, then saying something in French to Flower. Vero, Tanger, Flower, and Sid all laughed, everyone else just seemed confused.

The only people that were at the party were me, Max, Vero, Tanger, Sid, Flower, James, Kuni and Engo. From the guys' conversations, I gathered that most of the married guys couldn't make it and the younger ones were probably out partying and Orpik was out of town.

Mel finished braiding my hair and I started in on her's when the door to the pool area snapped shut and I heard Geno mumble, "Shit..."

I turned around to see Jennifer standing there...James, who obviously had too much to drink, mumbled "Fuck..."
